Now this last time I was charged $50 for a pedicure And she cut off my nails without asking... so now I have puggy toe nails. Yuk!! I asked Why so much she said 35 for the gel and pedicure. And $5 for the scrub and $10 for removal . I didn't get a scrub or have my feet done with a callus remover. So where did the extra charge come from. Noticed this little nail salon on a visit to Wok's Deli. I have been going to a salon in Bellflower but they are always so busy i feel rushed so I thought I would give this place a try. It is super close to my house, added bonus! We arrived a few minutes after they opened. There was already one client in a pedicure chair and one in a manicure station. We were greeted immediately and sat within moments to nice clean, well maintain chair with all the bells and whistles. The Service menu was easy to read, very reasonably priced options and they had a lot of variations of gel colors. i was really surprised when my nail tech asked me how I liked my toe nail length. She wanted approval every step of the way before she went on to the next. It was really interactive and I appreciated the attention to what my expectations were. They also have a rewards program. Im updating my review from 2 years ago. 2019 My regular nails salon is full today and it is my only day off, i remember about this place so I decided to come for my regular nails treatment. I asked for different colors for each toes and they replied it will be extra $3 and i was inquiring the reason why since it wasn't like that in my regular nails salon. And she replied it will extra work to get 5 different bottles and extra work (in opening and closing each bottle i assume?). She then turned to another lady, speaks in their language and that other lady came and explained that in other place it wil be charged $5 instead of $3. To make it even more uncomfortable experience, other customers that came after me got offered free bottle water, (2 yrs ago they also gave me bottle of water and a small plate of snacks, which made this salon unique and made me felt special). I understand for the cost of inflation so that was okay when they cut down complimentary service, but it was not cool differentiate each customer with special or non special treatment. --------------- 2017 My bro in law who owns an upscale nail salon in Iowa, came to California to purchase chair for his second nail salon. He insisted on products thats called Contigo, using individual liner for pedicure. I kept thinking to myself why I never find such salon that uphold concepts of health, hygiene and beauty? And I bumped into Kati nail salon from yelp. I tried it out this morning. Arrived at 930AM, its only me and another customer. Its the cleanest nails salon Ive ever been to! And they use liner for each customer, and dispose of it after. Very efficient and fast too! They make sure edges of my nails are smooth afterwards. They gave u water bottle and snacks complimentary. $1 charge for credit card transaction. $40 for gel mani and regular pedi. I saw other yelper post pic they handed out the pumice stone afterwards, which I didnt get. Its not like I want it, but its nice knowing they use one for each client to reduce spread of infection. (In which my in law uses it as standard of practice). I did saw a jar of pumice stone and labeled "clean" so I hope they use one for each client. And my tools were opened from a sterile package. Came in around 9:15 on a Thursday morning and were happy they were open. The spot is located on the corner of a mini business plaza. Across from apartments, there is parking on the street and behind the building. Mindy was amazing, I appreciated her work. I got the $35 package with Valois removal and foot massage. Definitely worth it she did a great job. She didn't half ass anything the massage was great and she took her time. This is probably the best callis removal I've had and that is saying something. I went in with acrylics wanting a fill because I broke a nail, I had a specific idea in mind with pictures and I did not get what I wanted... Not even close... the man told me that he would be able to do a pink glitter French tip and that it would look really nice... that is NOT what I got. The man who did my nails did not even bother to clean up my cuticles and cut my finger in the process. I did pay for my visit. But I will not be returning. I've been coming here for a few years and unfortunately have been sorely disappointed this past visit. I previously had not left a review since I always had someone different and their services varied considerably in quality. The previous visit was done by, who I assume is, their youngest employee. She gave an absolutely BUTCHERED pedicure with a chainsaw! Well, that's what it looked like anyway. The edges were jagged and sharp and there was still cuticle skin all over the place. It looked like an animal's bite did the pedicure. She's also given me a terrible manicure another visit. I called the following day when I noticed and the owner said to come back but I had already fixed it so she said not to worry, she'd take care of me the next time I went back. Today was the day I went back roughly a month later. When I called to make an appointment I reminded her of the situation and she said to come in and she'd take cafe of me, I then went in and reminded her again before the service started and she said she would take care of it, yet again. Once the service was all said and done I paid and left but realized I paid for the pedicure portion that she said she would take care of so I went back and told her that she said she was going to take care of it 3 separate times. She then said what she meant by taking care of it was that she herself, the owner, would do the pedicure personally herself. I can see how there was a misunderstanding but she never once made that clear to me that she still expected payment for that particular service. I paid for the other services I got, no problem, but I guess I shouldn't have assumed that the pedicure she said she would take care of was complimentary. I'm not sure if I understand that differently than anywhere else I've ever been or the way anyone else has ever heard that term before but that's not what I thought it meant. I told her even if she were to expect me to pay for today's service, she should have refunded me for the previous one or however she wanted to do it so that I was compensated fairly for a job that shouldn't have been paid for. I told her that I understood her miscommunication but that this wasn't proper customer service especially when I never got an apology at any point. She then went on to just ignore me and give me no response after that. I kept talking to her and she just didn't look at me anymore. To top everything off, the last time I came I realized she only gave me one stamp(they have a stamp card that's a free mani after 10) for my two services. I've always come with someone else and the stamps have always been put on the one card for me to keep. I have fulfilled three other cards(totalling 15 times) and was almost done with this one. She then went on to say that it was from a prior visit and this particular time she would allow the two stamps for the card this time but not in the future because every single person has to be separate and that has always been the rule. So you're telling me the last 18 times I came that wasn't always the rule? Especially when you've signed off my stamp cards numerous times? Interesting sudden rule. Unfortunately this review has to go to her business. She has a lot of employees and this doesn't necessarily go across to everyone but the owner is the one that represents the team so sorry, not sorry. read more

So disappointed! I went about a week ago to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure just to realize how expensive they got. I understand COVID has to do with this but the way they put up the prices by a lot is not good. My daughter that is only 11 got gel manicure and her toes painted and for both I paid $100. Never In my life I had paid that much not even when I got Married. I was so upset when they were speaking they're language after they started services and told me she would be regular price so $40 for her and $60 for me. I've came to this place twice. The first time was with my daughter we both for manicure and pedicures. All the ladies were very friendly. We both got snacks and I got a water and my daughter was given a capri sun. Great experience! This second visit I got a full set with ombre coffin.($35) Price wise they are a bit more pricey but I'm willing to pay more if the job is done correctly. The nail technician did an amazing job! Very Dishonest and disrespectful. I just went there with my daughters. They wanted to charge me for a pedicure $25.00 for my 10 YEAR OLD daughter who is tall for her age. I told them she is 10 years old it should be $15.00 they said her height is to tall for her age. Then she tried to BS ME and say since she's 10 its 9 and under So they wanted to charge me $20. I had to talk to another lady who said the same thing. I told the lady her dad is 6'5. She is tall lil girl.. This was my spot! I love how Mai did my nails. I recommended both of my sisters and when I moved I drove 30 min to get my fills here. There is a lot unprofessionalism I feel she lacks. I went to get a fill and the first thing she mentioned was that I had forgot to tip her since I normally send it after I leave through Apple Pay. It was an honest mistake, I always tip her $6 for my $23 fill which I feel is fair. But just the fact that she asked and seemed annoyed threw me off. I decided to ignore it and apologized to her. I then made my appt and went back to get my fill two weeks after that and Mai text me as I pulled in that she was running 30 min late. I had drove from 30 min away and set an appt. I then decided I'd still just keep my pedicure appt and hope she would finish faster. As soon as I walked in her and her client looked at me and laughed and the client said "she forgot she had an appt and took me" LAUGHING. And Mai laughed too and said she'd get to me in 30 min. I don't see how that was funny. And she had never been this way with me until the whole tip thing happened. Her coworker said she was available and I let her do my nails. I decided to just move on and ignore it because I thought well maybe she didn't have bad intentions and really just forgot about my appt. I've been coming here for over three years with my girlfriend. Never really had any major complaints until the last time and this time. When I was here the last time, one of the girls slaughtered my toes and feet. I didn't notice nor paid attention till I got home. I'm a guy so normally I try not to be too picky but this was ridiculous. Every single one of my toes had uneven and spiky ridges, I even had cuticle skin poking out everywhere. It was definitely way worse after going in than before. Got a chance to speak to the owner and she said to come back in but I had already fixed it myself so she told me the next time I came in that she would take care of me. I finally made the trek back about a month later. My girlfriend called to remind her about the situation before we went in and was told that she would take care of it. When we got in I heard my girlfriend remind her AGAIN & it seemed like there was an understanding. The owner was the one to perform the service on me as well. We ended up paying for our services and then left but then my girlfriend realized that we still ended up paying for my portion of the pedicure. We went back and were pretty much told that the owner had a miscommunication when she said she would take care of it, all she meant was that she would be the one to be performing the service. Albeit, she took extra time and care and the work was just fine but that's not what taking care of it means right? The owner just went to ignoring us in the end. RUDE. The nail salon provides pedicure bowl covers which prevents bacteria sharing from client to client. They also provide water and snacks while being pampered. Fabulous Nail shop I discovered on my travels when I accidentally broke a nail. Passing through from one town to the other, I was looking for a shop with a good reputation and found Kati's (via Yelp, of course)!! My nail is broke towards the middle and I have been wearing a bandaid for two days. Kati was going to fix it correctly, removing the old shellac and Re-do the entire nail yet I asked her to please just apply acrylic to the top. I just went to get my nails done and Gina did my layover instead of a full set. I have carpal tunnel and my fingers are slightly turned. When I mentioned it to her so she knew why my hands are stiff and she'd have to compare both hands to make sure they are even. Her response was "well then you know I can't make them perfect" as if that was the point. Then I get home and my gel polish chipped off the side because it was bulging out and it hasn't even been an hour since I did them. I paid $70 for both services acrylic lay over and pedicure. I got the deluxe pedicure in which I didn't even get a 10 minute massage as it clearly stated. All the other customers were offered chips and water. I got the water offered by the lady doing my pedicure once she noticed I wasn't very happy with my nail work. Paid a good amount of $ just to get bad service. If you are allergic to mosquitoes then I would avoid this place. The only reason I come to this salon is because I really like my pedicure lady but I always leave with bites on my legs. There are so many plants & vines that have grown around the whole salon. The workers have bought bug zappers to help kill the flying bugs. It's ridiculous!
