The worst experience ever. Please do not purchase a vehicle from this company. They have sold me a faulty car and have send me over to their " repair shop " The worst customer service. Really unprofessional. I just purchased the vehicle and they had me take it in to change my motor mounts which they didn't end up replacing. Having me have to take the car back to them. Just because there's no option for no starts but people be aware of this place, they are really unprofessional, not worth trusting. I was on the hunt for a work truck and I find this place as a referral for my bank, I spoke to a guy name Jose an he told me the truck was on the lot. Well I make a long trip 27 miles to get there, we found the truck I got all my deal ready and a pre- approved letter from my bank. Then when the sales person showed to the manager he pop with the secret that the car have a rollback issue, i try to make a deal anyway and with no further questions the manager got busy and the sales rep just say "look to be realistic you need 30% down payment and if I can get that down payment is really difficult to get the truck finance and the manager will take 30 minutes to have time for You don't waist your time". Really.... this is really disappointing especially when they don't disclose the problems with the cars. We walk thru the lot and we saw most of the cars have a secrets..... looks like the manager wasn't interested to make the sale. Our deal was ready and the guy who call me on the phone say all the best deals to get us to go to their place. It is a huge inventory but be aware of the carfax. STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Look somewhere else. read more

Quite possibly the worst car dealership I've ever dealt with. The level of dishonesty in the sales process was baffling. They had the car listed for one price online and then when I got to the dealership the showed me a much higher price and explained the reason for the discrepancy Also, they had installed a gps anti theft system system that they wanted me to pay to remove as part of the sales process. It was a frustrating experience and I felt it was overly manipulative and dishonest. read more

I would like to thank Karplus for my new car! I'm over the moon happy. I shopped around a lot for the last 3 weeks and finally I found the best place. I was impressed by great and friendly staff. Customer Service is amazing and there a huge variety of cars. You guys are great, and so patient to me ( I'm very difficult customer), and paid attention to all my requests. Special thanks to Amir. He's a great and I will recommend this place just because of him. read more

This was the most terrible experience we have ever had. We took off work and drove an hour to see a car that was nothing like it was promised. The car had several dents and scratches which were never disclosed over the phone. The miles were wrong. The salesman knew little to nothing about the car. And the attitudes were disappointing and low standard. Find somewhere else to buy a car. read more

I will never go back to a place like this. The POS Ryan was forcefully trying to get me to buy a truck that wasn't running properly he took off with my license and tried photo copying it without us having a deal...on top of that when I did ask him for my license he threw it at me...and his boss came out and said he didn't mean to do it...how do you do something and not mean to do it. Only giving it one star because I have too not for any other reason...first off all they lied to get me to come out here and when I did finally make it out they kept lying to me about everything...worst customer service ever beware they're very shady... read more

This place is a great destination if your shopping for a car whether used or new. It's by far the best car dealership I've been and I'm most impressed by Mr. Chavez. He's excellent at his job and makes it so easy and pleasant. I went here with my brother who is also in sales and he was just as impressed with the service, courtesy and professionalism we received. I 200% recommend Karplus in Pacoima if you're sipping for a car. Ask for Mr. Chavez and you'll see what I'm talking about. 6 star service. read more

I bought a car here a week ago and I knew my credit was low so I came in with enough cash to pay off the car if needed. The first problem I had was the sticker price on the car was clear as day but the salesman told me they couldn't sell it to me for that price because it wasn't the real price and that the real price was 4500 dollars higher than advertised on their website and in the dealership.(which funny enough is how much they asked me for a down payment). I said ok whatever I knew my credit was bad so I agreed on the price with the down payment and payments I assumed because they were selling it to me for 4500 more than advertised I would be financing the price on the car and the salesman assured me I would be I asked him over 10 times what my final amount would be and what I would ultimately be paying for the car before financing because I was planning to pay off the loan in a few months after financing and he assured me that the price financed would be what we agreed and even showed it to me and pointed it to me on a contract. A few days ago I called the finance company and asked for the pay off amount because I was thinking of paying it off much sooner and they tell me I was actually charged double what the car was advertised at! My 4500 dollar down payment essentially was just gifted away to the dealership even though that was half of the price of the car that was advertised online and at the dealership. I called and asked for the salesman and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about then said he told me clearly and didn't lie when I asked him over 10 times and he either said a lower number or would change the subject he ended up yelling at me for 5 minutes then hung up then I was told he wasn't there when I called back . This whole thing was an awful horrible experience don't trust these guys they look for any angle to screw you over and I make plenty of money and I'm going to pay off the car but I'm going to make sure any family or people I know in my business will know not to go here and give them your money and you shouldn't either it's not very hard to be transparent and I would've bought the car anyways if he was honest and transparent about the price but he lied to my face then lied and denied it over the phone and called me a lier. read more

Ok so this summer I bought a 2007 Saturn (with a warranty mind you that didn't apply to my problems) from Karplus. While searching for the car, the salesman is saying sexual comments to my sister (who is a model) but still! One salesman pulled out his list of cars that he sold and tried to get us to go on a date with him. He called himself a "high roller" and said that my sister should start acting in the movie industry, and yes, the bad movie industry is what I'm talking about. Ok, enough said on the idiots, but here is the strange part, like the reviews from the other customers below me, I also bought a lemon. It was a stick and my sister goes to teach me how to drive it right after the papers were signed. We're sitting in a parking lot and she shows me what stalling a car is. She goes to turn the car back on and it WILL NOT START! The starter had blown and eventually, I got stranded by myself at a gas station. I called the manager and he offered to pay for it, which was nice. Then after some heated words, he threatens to revoke his offer. I just kissed ass at that point because I couldn't afford the fix. So, I take the car to GM and they literally had to replace the whole part! Remove the steering column (now my steering wheel shakes terribly) and fix it. It cost over $400. Ok, so I drive 5 hours north to my house. The next DAY I am getting in it to go to work, and the damn check engine light turns on! Since then, the sealant for the windows has warped from the heat and the stick has troubles going into first. So yesterday my tire blows out and when I take it into Big O's, they say that the lock on the rim is nothing they have ever seen before and there is no key in the car. Both I, and the mechanic looked everywhere. So I call Karplus today to see if they have it. The salesman says, "Robert should have had the key or some way to get it off or else he couldn't have done the inspection on the car thoroughly." Wow, so what does that make me think? Maybe that they didn't do an inspection at all. When they put me on the phone with Robert, he is very rude with me and is acting like I'm an idiot. He questions my searching skills saying, "Well, it just has to be in there somewhere." Ok guess what buddy? It wasn't. This reafirms what serious sleeze balls these guys are. He tells me there is nothing he can do, and hangs up. They literally will make the car run as smooth as possible to hold up until it's bought and then it falls apart. Please understand that I am not a pissed off person that gets my feelings hurt and yada yada. I am actually a very nice and passive person. But please, I beg you, do NOT buy from this car lot. Take the warnings and ignore the cheap prices, beat up cars, and loud hip hop that blares from the speakers while you shop (that's no joke). It's a facad that will cost you more than if you bought something from a car dealership!!! read more

As a female, the car shopping experience can be a daunting one. I've always been cautioned about the process of buying a car but my awesome experience at Karplus totally changed my perspective. The lot had a lot of nice cars and based on the Kelly Blue Book comps I made, the prices were reasonable! I worked with Ali. He listened to what I wanted & helped me find a few cars that fit my specifications/budget. I like that he was knowledgeable but not pushy. I felt like he gave me all the info & details I needed about each car I looked at to help me narrow its down to the black on black BMW 335i that I absolutely LOVE!!! It's a dream car for me and a huge step up from my Accord coupe... I've never had more fun driving a car and have had no issues. I will definitely be a repeat customer, even though I moved to OC, for my next car in a few years. Thank you :) read more

The cars in this dealership are not taken care of like it they get them crashed from an auto auction or something and try to re-sell them. They take advantage of you when they see you're interested in a car or when they see it's your first time buying. They take forever and hide important details from you. Horrible experience, DONT COME HERE!!!! read more

This is the WORST place to buy a car ever! I'm surprised that this place hasn't been closed down for shady business operations. The entire nightmare of purchasing a car was fueled from start to finish by Karplus Warehouse and the incompetent staff they have on-site. Firstly, when you walk into the dealership, there are about 15 salesmen all huddled together under a shade waiting for their next victim; the second a person walks through the gate, it's a race to see who can rob you blind first - not the way to get off on the right foot, and only adding to the 'used car dealer' stereotype. After walking around the lot for about 4 hours, and being told time and time again that financing with no credit wouldn't be a problem (I am new to LA from Australia), I encounter my first dilemma. This is true of most dealerships, they'll say anything to get you in the door, but this place took the problem to a whole new level. I finally settle on a car that is within my first-time buyer financing limit, and they assure me that whilst I can be financed alone, they just need my friend's details for the sole purpose of having an American citizen 'vouch for me', and this was not a 'co-sign agreement'. OF COURSE it was a co-sign agreement! After sitting down to sign the paperwork (for a car that was 4K over KBB, with a 24% interest rate) it was suggested that we purchase the extended warranty at an additional $9 per month no strings attached. WRONG. What was told to me in fact differed entirely from reality - the warranty extended my loan an additional 18 months and added another 7K to the loan! Almost as much as the car! To top it off, the account man, Max, spoke to us like we were idiots. Even though my co-signer was a mechanic and able to call them out on just about every lie, they still acted as if we had never even seen a car before. Mike, another lovely addition to the team, is apparently hired to distract people while they are signing their lives away. Not 5 minutes passed where he wasn't telling me a bad joke, or shoving his phone in my face to show me pictures of Australia he found somewhere online. Ridiculous. One salesman, Sam, was perhaps the only decent human being in the place, he was not pushy and relatively subdued - of course, the others were quick to take his sale. Well - I've had the car for a month now. I had to replace the radiator yesterday, replace 4 bulbs, have the A/C fixed, both door seals fixed, the speedometer is 15 mph off, and I have no working stereo - the 3 CD's I found jammed in the single disc CD player was a nice feature. I haven't even made my first car payment! To sum up: NEVER BUY A CAR HERE, In fact, don't even drive past the dealership, or look online, or even go to Pacoima at all - AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS! read more

I arrived to view a car that was posted for sale 1 hour earlier, when I got there the guy told me he sold it two days ago. Absolutely, hands down, best and easiest buying experience I ever had, thank you John. I had checked few other dealerships before walking into Karplus, within few minutes I knew that this would be the place that I finally would be buying my car from. They made me feel very comfortable, didn't feel pushed, they actually listened more than any other place I had been to. (You know how typical sales people are, they don't shut up since the minute you walk in) sell, sell and sell.. Well going back to this dealership, they listened, they found and they sold!!!! How easy is that???? I swear the total time spend at this place was less than the time I spend at my dentist office.. I mean I just purchased the car of my dreams which I hope to keep at least for the next ten years without any headaches and long wait and problems. EVERYBODY from the front girl to the rest of the people I met were amazing. I would recommend all my friends and family members to this place knowing that they will come and thank me for the recommendation. I had a great overall experience at this dealer (which is very rare these days). Staff was great, I found the car I was looking for quickly thanks to Mo-a very friendly guy who wasn't pushy or anything. Worst place ever to buy a car!! Yes they are nice up until you need repairs.. They will send you to their mechanics over at Sheldon which will break more things than fix em.. They broke the motor cover and said t was hard to prove that they broke it.. We took our car to the VW dealership and did a diagnostic.. So many things were missing and we told Sheldon and they said they would look into it.. IT TOOK THREE MONTHS TO GET IT BACK!! And when we did get it back they had put 500 miles on it!! They said it was because they had to test drive it.. We tried to get them to sign over the rights to VW, they refused.. Even though we had already paid the car in full in less than a year.. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM! You will regret it!! Go to an actual dealership that will help instead of telling you they have nothing to do with the repairs anymore.. They have several court cases pending against them for the same reasons.. I will keep reposting no matter how may times you ask to delete it, I've notice you deleted all bad reviews.. read more

Purchased a 2011 Prius from this dealer a few months ago, and everything still runs great. Give these guys a try. They made our trip all worthwhile, very professional staff. They are very eager to help me just right after I arrive. I thought their price is reasonable. It's been almost a year since I bought my car and I think it's time for their review. While I still love my car there is something that really grinds my gears (pun intended). When I went out to test drive/ look at the car, they told me that it hadn't been in an accident even though there were visible dents in the passenger door on the right side. Anyway, I fell in love w my car and bought it anyway. A few weeks ago, I took my car to go get looked at by my trusted mechanic and they found that my radiator and condenser had been bent. The only thing that could have caused it was an accident and I hadn't been in an accident since I had bought it. I have to give one star for the dishonesty. :( read more
