I bought a car here a week ago and I knew my credit was low so I came in with enough cash to pay off the car if needed. The first problem I had was the sticker price on the car was clear as day but the salesman told me they couldn't sell it to me for that price because it wasn't the real price and that the real price was 4500 dollars higher than advertised on their website and in the dealership.(which funny enough is how much they asked me for a down payment). I said ok whatever I knew my credit was bad so I agreed on the price with the down payment and payments I assumed because they were selling it to me for 4500 more than advertised I would be financing the price on the car and the salesman assured me I would be I asked him over 10 times what my final amount would be and what I would ultimately be paying for the car before financing because I was planning to pay off the loan in a few months after financing and he assured me that the price financed would be what we agreed and even showed it to me and pointed it to me on a contract. A few days ago I called the finance company and asked for the pay off amount because I was thinking of paying it off much sooner and they tell me I was actually charged double what the car was advertised at! My 4500 dollar down payment essentially was just gifted away to the dealership even though that was half of the price of the car that was advertised online and at the dealership. I called and asked for the salesman and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about then said he told me clearly and didn't lie when I asked him over 10 times and he either said a lower number or would change the subject he ended up yelling at me for 5 minutes then hung up then I was told he wasn't there when I called back . This whole thing was an awful horrible experience don't trust these guys they look for any angle to screw you over and I make plenty of money and I'm going to pay off the car but I'm going to make sure any family or people I know in my business will know not to go here and give them your money and you shouldn't either it's not very hard to be transparent and I would've bought the car anyways if he was honest and transparent about the price but he lied to my face then lied and denied it over the phone and called me a lier. read more

Staff was great, I found the car I was looking for quickly thanks to Mo-a very friendly guy who wasn't pushy or anything. It's been almost a year since I bought my car and I think it's time for their review. While I still love my car there is something that really grinds my gears (pun intended). When I went out to test drive/ look at the car, they told me that it hadn't been in an accident even though there were visible dents in the passenger door on the right side. Anyway, I fell in love w my car and bought it anyway. A few weeks ago, I took my car to go get looked at by my trusted mechanic and they found that my radiator and condenser had been bent. If I can give this place a ZERO, I would. WARNING, DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR AT KARPLUS WAREHOUSE!!! They buy frame damaged cars and sell them as if they are in good condition. They show you a carfax that doesn't display the frame damage. But, if you ask for a AutoCheck, they won't give it to you....because it lists the frame damage! I lost $5000 on a car they sold to me in good condition. Allen in Finance will do whatever he can to display that he's telling you the truth..."Just look at the carfax" will be his words to you. "We've been in business for over 25 years" will be another. Orlando appear that he's working hard to get you a deal to finance you, but then they add more money to the back end of the deal. Sam (sales) will tell you how he fixes cars up for a hobby and how the car you are test driving is in excellent condition. And, when you question him about the wear on the tires, he'll tell you that they are special tires and they don't have the tread on them that basic tires have. Two months later, I'm told that I need tires from the mechanic! This was a $5000 lesson learned on my part. DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM THESE LOOSERS. Let my loss be your gain... Buying a car, especially a used one, is always an over whelming experience considering all the factors that play into your decision; the price, the mileage, the condition of the car, etc. but I would say the most overwhelming experience would be figuring out whether or not the dealership is reliable and honest (as so many of them are not). However, My bf and I are beyond grateful for the service we were given at Karplus, especially from Arman and Javier. They played an integral role in our decision to purchase the car we did and they were able to confidently answer each question we asked them about the cars on their lot. Arman May come across as your typical car salesman's at first, but he is a very personable and admirable and truly helped us out with our first car purchase. I purchased a vehicle from here about a month ago and I had forgot to leave my review. I came to this place because they seemed to have a large selection and work with people that have um, challenging credit. I found a vehicle online and made my initial inquiry over the phone. I was put in touch with a sales man Elizar Chavez. He was was very nice and helpful. I asked a few questions and he was able to answer them for me. I came in the following day as discussed and texted Mr. Chavez when I arrived. Mr. Chavez showed me a couple of the vehicles that I had asked about. Mr. Chavez was very friendly, if I have any negative it would be that he didn't seem to know many specifics on the vehicle that I had chosen to test drive. To his defense there are a lot of different males and models on their lot. After agreeing to a price I was introduced to the finance manager Allen K. (Forgive me for not remembering his full last name) Allen really was great and is the reason I am giving 5 stars. He walked me through everything and was even able to find a bank that would be able to give me a lower APR than originally expected. It did take a bit of time to complete the transaction but that is to be expected. All in all, I love my car and I really appreciate all the work that Allen K. put in. read more

This is the worst dealership I have ever been to. DO NOT GO HERE! They added on a bogus OPTIONAL Anti theft charge of close to $1500. Yes we got the car for a good price but when fees are added in that are optional is wrong. The salesman, as a part of their negotiating, told us they would fill the tank and 'detail' car. After being at their lot for the better half of a day, we got into the car which was filthy, was not cleaned, and it had an empty gas tank. They also said they would fill the tires up because the pressure gauge was on, so they obviously didn't. We drove 3 hours home with the light on after they said 'oh it's fine it will turn off after you drive it and the tires balance', lies, the tires were low. We dealt with a guy named Puya who was very misleading and took advantage of not only a VETERAN, but a Firefighter. I also spoke with Armen who was less than helpful, and pawned us off onto his sleazy salesman who took advance of us. I will never come back here and ADVISE NO ONE TO EVER SHOP HERE! I was looking at a used car out of necessity and, after shopping around, I found a good deal here. I worked with Adrian, who was very helpful. He gave me a test drive while sitting in the back next to my almost-two-year old son (who kept kicking him). He was patient, helpful, and positive the entire time. They also made the car-buying process as easy as possible. (My bank, not so much. They kept rejecting the large purchase as exceeding my limit and fraudulent.) Also, I have two children and they had a little play area with an arcade game. They also pop free popcorn (fresh) and have vending machines. Catering to kids helped make the process easier as well. I had the worst experience ever... sales rep Gustavo and his supervisor spoke to me about holding a car I liked, the car was loaned to a customer told me to leave $50 deposit to hold the car and have it brought back so I can purchase it. I left a deposit. So the next day I was told to come in. These numbskulls sold the car even before I came in at the time they scheduled me. No calls to notify me or nothing, I show up and Gustavo tells me a customer with cash on hand came in and we just sold it... Well where's the word of honesty... So after leaving a negative review on here and on google, contacting the better business bureau, the True Car buying service and my bank, I finally returned to the dealership when they said in writing that they would take my car back. I would have to pay the $500 re-stocking fee (and lose the money I spent on repairs to make the car safe to drive) but I was ok with that. I had a conversation with Allen K (the sales manager) who, unlike the rude Arman Apoian, was cordial and asked what it would take to make me happy. Basically, I asked for a refund of what they call their "pre-loaded options" which were never explained to me in the price negotiations as well as a refund of the "warranty" which didn't cover my car and reimbursement for my repair costs. He explained that they buy cars at auction, get the safety and smog checks and re-sell them at a small profit. Their bigger margins are on their anti-theft etching on the windows and their expensive gps system. We came to an agreement somewhere in the middle. It took over two hours. I'm not happy but I was relieved not to have to look for another car. However, I wouldn't wish that experience on my worst enemy. It was one of the most depressing and demoralizing experiences I have ever had. read more

Finally writing my review a few months later....I have been to many car dealers in my life time and have probably purchased over a dozen cars in my years and this probably has to be the worst experience thus far. I saw a specific very car for a pretty fair price when I browsing on the car gurus app that caught my attention. I called them to confirm it was still available and it was so I drove out there from Downtown LA in traffic the same day to check it out. Upon further inspection the car was beat to $%$*# for only being about 5 years old let alone it wouldn't even start because the battery was dead so I had to wait around for them to come and jump it and then it needed gas too before I could even test drive it so I had to wait 15 minutes for this. After this I was already discouraged but I gave them a chance and went through the whole process. Towards the end of this experience I went inside, got the free Carfax to check its history and saw that it had indeed a clean title but 2 previous accidents as well and wasn't told this when I had ask the salesman. All in all when we went inside and started getting to the numbers I had realized the out the door price (since they wouldn't budge on price because apparently they have the best prices in ALL OF LA!) they added all these additional fees that I literally have never seen before at any car dealer...Car recovery fee, some kind of anti theft GPS fees and so on that amounted to being about 20% of the cost of the vehicle itself and that was before taxes, title and transfer fees!!!!!! THEY JUST MARK THEIR CARS DOWN TO BE THE LOWEST ON THE MARKET AND JUST MAKE UP FOR IT WITH THESE BS FEES.
