Absolutely terrible. I looked at a couple cars over a year ago but things happened and couldn't afford to get a car at the time. Went back today with money in hand and they instantly recognized me. I asked to test drive a car so they said they'd wash it first and I can drive it. Another customer was looking around after me, while I was waiting for the to finish washing the car and he was interested in the same car. I waited 40 minutes for the to wash the car all for them to refuse a test drive because the other customer wanted to drive it and they had seen me before. They also always say their cars are in "PERFECT" condition when the trip is always coming off, there are clear issues but say they'll fix it if I buy it. I also didn't see the terrible reviews before and now I know why. Worst place to do this kind of business with. read more

AVOID AT ALL COST. I wish I had read the reviews before buying from here. Bought a truck that was supposed to be in perfect condition yet within 3 days the engine broke down, then had at least 8 different mechanical problems over the next 2 weeks. They said they would fix it but every time that I would send it in the work was either not done or it came back worse. 3 weeks later the transmission breaks. They refused to take any responsibility. Even refused to send me the SMOG check. 'If you want the smog check talk to Sacramento' they said. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! You will regret it!! read more

BAD BUSINESS !!!! AVOID ... This guy had us start the process for a vehicle . When and got insurance. Paid them cash deposit and told to come back next day .. next day comes we show up and right away we see the car not on the lot . He then tells us to go to another connected dealership down the street and upon arrival the place is closed. We then go back to original location and see the vehicle there with another customer in it and license plates on it ! He sold the vehicle we gave a deposit for . Then proceeded to try and sell us another vehicle! Bad business . Worst experience buying a car and I've delt with some shady car lots this right here is un acceptable AVOID !!!SCAM ARTIST ... should of never took deposit money and make us spend 600 on insurance just to sell it and try to hide it .. made us drive around back and forth for a hour just so he can hide what he was doing .. read more

Community Trucks and Vans - Repairs within 3 weeks - Car Buyers Near Me - Pacoima, California

See all

Bought a Caprice PPV from them. Couple of phone calls to discuss the vehicle, they dodged a couple of questions regarding technical stuff like idle hours, eventually I went down to look at it. It was as described, and in comparison to the others in this price range, it was in good shape. Went for a drive, told him I'd pay cash, did the paperwork and drove home. Plates came about three weeks later. Haven't had any trouble with the car. Yes, the place looks like a dive. There are way too many cars on the lot, but if you're looking for a deal and can tell the good from the bad, I'd say give them a try. They had a beautiful crown vic on the lot, and several other caprices that were in good shape. A Tahoe that I wouldn't touch was also there. I dealt with David, he was honest and fair with me. Bear in mind this isn't a new car dealership. Don't expect someone to greet you at the door with a latte and shuttle you around in a golf cart. You're getting a deal on the car, you're not getting pampered. read more

My name is Dave and I live in Overland Park, Kansas and we purchased a 2014 Chevrolet Caprice PPV (75,230 mi) from David at Community Auto Sales in Pacoima, CAf or our 17 year old sons 1st car. We are not family members of anyone at Community Auto, nor are we friends with any of the employees but merely 1st time customers. We have given this dealership and the staff we spoke with (David S. and Bobby) a 5 star rating across the board. We only viewed the vehicle via pictures online. We did not test drive the vehicle because we are 24 hours away from Pacoima, CA. I spoke with David at length about the specifics of the vehicle on the phone, its condition, its drivability, leaks, noises, etc. and I am happy to report that his description was 100% accurate and we are 100% satisfied. Vehicle Condition & Appearance - The Caprice looked as beautiful when it was delivered as it did in the online pictures. This was possible because Community takes the time to post crystal clear very detailed HD zoomable pictures that show every angle inside as well as outside of the car. Initial Startup and Test Drive - The vehicle started easily, ran quiet and as smooth as David described on the phone. It shifted flawlessly, tires were in great shape, filled to the proper pressure. the car tracked dead balls straight with no pulling when brakes were applied and best of all it leaks nothing, all exactly as David described. The oil and air filter appear recently replaced/changed and there were no weird odors or smells. Communication - David and Bobby responded instantaneously with both me and my wife via email, telephone and text to every question including payment, title. bill of sale and even logistics to transport the Caprice to Kansas making this a silky smooth transaction. Vehicle Delivery-David was able to help us find a transporter to get the car safeley delivered to Kansas (thank you Ivan the driver) in short order and 2 days early which is astonishing. Why Community ? - We chose Community after speaking with David I had a great feeling about his character and honesty and since he's been in business for 42 years I knew he must be very skilled at his craft. Conclusion - I now consider David my friend and will purchase another Caprice PPV from him at Community Auto Sales in the next 1-2. David & Bobby when you treat people as you did me and my family your business will continue to grow. God Bless You All Dave, Jayne & Nick (new Caprice PPV owner) read more

My brother bought a car and was told it was in good working condition, after 3 days of driving the check engine came on and we did a diagnostic on it turns out the lifters were bad and cam is shot. We told them about our situation and they didn't seem to care and told us we will be paying half of the repair even though we were told to return the car before 30 days if anything g was wrong and the owner was very disrespectful. His mechanic just erased the codes and gave us back the car and on the way home the check engine turned on and started blinking so no don't buy from there worst place to have a sales lot on top of everything read more

These guys are shady scam artists that waste your time and don't answer their phone and when they do they hang up on you. I went to check out a Chevy caprice a few months back and the car did not match the photos posted on their website. I pointed out the photos do not match the car and they refused saying it was the same car when it clearly was not. I am a mechanic by trade and they continued trying to lie to me that the car was in good condition and just got a recent tune up yet tue vehicle had excessive vibrations/shaking at idle and the alignment was way off and the vehicle was pulling to the right heavily. I noticed on the vehicles very spotty patch work to make the vehicles look half decent in order to sell, like spray paint to cover rust, spray paint in door jams/ body panels edges to hide rubbing and poor fitment from collisions most likely and these guys have no paperwork of proof to the apparent "maintenance" and "tune ups" they claim to have done to the vehicles. Do not waste your time with these guys read more
