You know that lemon commercial well when you think Statewide think of that song... "well you can't get a lemon..., blah, blah, blah. I'm not about to get deep with the details but honestly I am now broke because of "statewide"!!! they have nice cars. Make sure you have a man or mechanic with you who knows what they are talking about, especially if you're a woman. Make sure you take your time and also evaluate all cars before buying or signing any paperwork. End of the day I hate Statewide I wish I would've had somebody that knew about cars and Toby buy this car anyway nevertheless I'm still rubbing but every single time it's fixed on the car. It's always something else. Thank you before you buy a car and stay while I'm out. read more

I bought a car there and it's the biggest headache I have ever had. They scam people in this place with repairs and crazy fee's. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! Will be making a report with the better business bureau. read more

IF ONLY POSSIBLE TO GIVE A ZERO!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Here is why, I called to reply to an AutoTrader add, spoke to a David who was the person on the add. I live in San Francisco, this dealership is in LA. I spoke to him between 3 calls where I confirmed with him all there was to know about the car, and he guaranteed there was nothing wrong with the car, that the car will be there and ready. I packed my family in our rental, and drove down to LA. Get there, asked for David, and he had gone for the day. Spoke to the other manager, and he said the car was sent to the repair shop days ago. No David, No car. Offered vehicles that were much more in cost. TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM!!! I'm reporting this company to the BBB! I spoke to David, and he didn't even apologize. I drove down from San Francisco for 6 hours, with my wife, 2 sons and our dog, all for nothing!!! read more

Today 2/27/21 I Drove 3 hours from Fresno Ca. I Spoke with Sam all week and he knew I was coming today. I called him before I left. So When I get there he's not there. Ok. He told me to bring 8000 so I do. The Car I come to see a black Mercedes I was told it had 77,000 miles I get there it had 184,000 then I find something else which I needed 7000 down I'm like ok. Then they tell me They a take 7000 today and I'll owe 2900 in 2 weeks. This was the worst dealership experience I have ever had. The girls in the office they where nice.. Before you drive there you better have all your info in order. And the cars are buckets. Most of them I saw. They Could do a lot better. Be honest upfront people will still buy there. Oh yea they gave me 50 dollars for gas. That was nice. Just be honest read more

Major headache. I have owned a car for 2 months and have already spent $2,000 on it. I couldn't even make it home. I don't trust their repair guys because these things should have already been done. All Sam does is lie. I have receipts and everything. Now they are making me fill out a paper to get my license plates. They need to take the money out as they do everything else and send my plates. I bought 3 cars from here in the past. The service is not the same. Its terrible COVID my buttocks! read more

I was just contacted by "Sam" at Statewide. He has been harrasing me since I posted my initial review and has now just offered me $500 to remove it. This just shows and proves how corrupt this place is. I was baffled by the high rating and now I see how they got it. I also noticed many past reviews that went from 1 star to 5. Someone got paid so that you would get ripped off! DON'T DO IT! READ MY REVIEW!! AND THE OTHER LOW STAR REVIEWS. ALL VERY SIMILAR & THEY SPEAK THE TRUTH!! read more

????I'm waiting to see how they're going to handle my car going in running fine, and coming out with check engine light on,and running very poorly. 3weeks and no answers to the problem. They seem to have issues with honesty. Correct your mistakes, and be honest. That's the business read more

Me and my boyfriend brought a car less then a month ago and it is already in the shop with one 6k due in repairs. Check engine light came on only 3 weeks after getting the car. Because we were out of town at time light came on we just took it to the dealer for them to tell us the mileage on the odometer is wrong and car has over 175k and reader on dash shows 120k then hit us with a 6k bill. So he calls statewide to inform them of the problem and say we would just like to give the car back seeing we were still in the warranty period to be told if we give it back its a report. So I decided to call them explain the issue so Sam offered to fix the car but we are currently in Sacramento he said he had some one in Sacramento that could tow it for us on Saturday and to call him back when we were ready so my boyfriend called Monday to get information for tow they hung up in his face 2 times and when he finally got Sam on phone he told him he never said he had someone that could tow the car back to them for repairs.. at this point I'm over it and will be reporting them and filing a lawsuit if things are not handled today when I go up there myself. read more

I promise you this is the worst dealer ever, they sell you bandaid cars that expose there problem after a week - to a month. Its so bad, my breaks were horrible and making noise after a week as if some spray was put on for it to be silent while I test drove. Complete rip over! Each week something else was wrong with the car... the air condition stop working, they put BMW rotors on my C300 and I found out only after my second time taken the car to them to get the brakes fixed which never got actually fixed I end up taking it to my neighbor mechanic who told me it was BMW rotors. Second week my car over heats but yet the car is tweaked to not show service issues, I take it end it yet later I find out another bandaid fix. Going into the second month with the car my I start having problems turning on the car on I was left to pay all the repairs It was such a scam and horrible experience I refused to pay the car note without them fixing the issues. Idk call it ignorant but it hurts your soul when you drop over 30% pay on time but yet all these issues keep happening and I was not going to pay for a car that gave me problems turning it on. You feel like your dealing with a mob ran dealership no honesty & integrity in anyone from the desk girls to the humble looking hard working car washers on the lot, they all have been trained & scripted to play the part. LIST OF THINGS TO NOTE - They say 30% and if you have it so you don't worry, then they get on the phone with "The Bank" and tell you the finance company is asking for more. - Eddie the Latino mechanic will only bandaid and keep your car for hours to make it seem like they actually did the "work" -They Don't even report that you pay currently on time to the creditors. - STATEWIDE will change your payment date without telling you. - Sam & Jack are the same person I believe if you see a old Middle Easter, Armenian looking old guy usually with a hat showing you around the cars it's him. I AM PUTTING TOGETHER A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT *If you believe you've been ripped off, Sold a car with the odometer meter turned back. Payment date changed without you being notified or have been up priced based on discrimination & etc EMAIL MOGULBENT@Icloud.com Also VOTE this comment HELPFUL so others can be aware, they use fake yelp accounts or pay people to leave generic fake reviews to bump the true reviewers with bad experiences from being at the top so they can get a few sales a day from inexperienced buyers. read more

This place has a terrible vibe. You walk in after you spoke to Sam on the phone - he is supposedly no where to be found.. Yeah, sure. Then, you look at cars- they are BEAT up with EXTREMELY HIGH MILEAGE (over 120k- 150k), scratched, rusty, with a ton of warning lights on, and SUPER OVER_ PRICED! They lie on the phone about the mileage and the price of a vehicle that you ask about, when you come there it is a completely different- worse, of course, story! In short, this place is a complete RIP OFF that makes money on missfortunate people who have no credit, sells them their auctioned- off miserably beat-up, worn out, high- mileages cars so they can have further problems in their life, just now with vehicles that they buy from places such as this one!! Stay away from this place you will regret ever going there! read more

This is the worst company i did business with, they sold me a car that broke down in 2 days, i had to miss work, lost money they told me come out of poccet to fix it, but they will give me a extension on down payment, then they came and repo they car i had not even got the plates, i ask to talk to leon, sam told me he dont want to deal with any one because the last customer he throw a chair at client, they just full of lies and games. read more

Wow, I don't get some of the reviews on here. First I want to say that I took my 2006 Lexus IS 250 in for service. And they ROCK! They wrote down all my complaints, addressed them fully and took care of all my questions and problems quickly and effectively. While I was there I looked at their huge car inventory and I listened to some of the sales people talk to customers, I don't understand why all of the complaints that are posted here. It is not a high pressure sales environment at all. The prices seemed competitive and I did not see anything but good quality cars. In reviewing their Service Department I would rate them an A+ for sure. As far as the car sales I will come back in a few weeks and purchase a car from them. There is a large inventory of cars to choose from, little sales pressure if any (which i hate), they seem very flexible and seem to genuinely care. So I wanted to say that I had a very positive experience and I know I am a difficult customer. read more

Sold me a C300 and paid them on time every single month and $5000 down. They reset the computer to show no problem with a cracked intake manifold. I never thought I could ever afford one. Plus, super reasonable price! I also like how it comes with a warranty, made me super comdortable. So far so good! Thumbs up! This was 2 months ago read more

Today August 2 2020!! my daughter car was Repossessed!! She bought this a car put 30% down on a vehicle that wasn't worth SHIT!! The 1st week of having this car it broke down. car was then put in their shop for about 2 weeks. It was towed there at least 2 more times. She was charged An unspecified amount for a car that had NO Mechanical issues. After getting the car back, only to find yet again repairs were not made after leaving. She almost at the end of the contract. Today August 2, 2020 they Repossessed her car due to non-payment, However I was with my daughter when she made her payment. The worst of the worst. Save your money and don't fall into this scam. Statewide fucked me out of almost 15k and it has been devastating. I'm still trying to piece back together my life. They take advantage of the people who have no credit and will rob you blind. Don't do it. They will take you for everything you have. The fact that they repo, finance and sell cars all in one spot should tell you something right there.. You've been warned.. Oh and by the way, they tag the cars with low jacks and use those to follow you around once it comes time for them to go and repossess the car for whatever reason they can pull out of the sky. read more

My parents and my family have seen this dealer for years but after seeing their Yelp we were a bit hesitant to come. I ended up coming with a friend to check them out and they had a HUGE selection of cars. Came back with my parents, and the staff treated us really well and there was no pressure to buy. I ended up getting a car (Mercedes's cls 550) and I got an amazing price (seriously amazing price). Barley needed to negotiate. There was no back and forth nonsense, they just gave me a good deal. I've had the car for 2 years now and it's been running great. No issues aside from normal maintenance. And anytime I've had to do some small maintenance, I came by their shop (yeah they have their own body shop..) and they always take good care of me and treat me like family. I would definitely recommend their dealership if you want a good deal and good after-service. read more

Just purchased a Mercedes S550 from this place. I found them on craigslist. They had many makes and models in stock so it was hard to choose. I test drove five or six different cars before I decided on the one that I purchased. Jack was very easy to work with. He was very patient when I test drove all the cars. They have a very large variety so be sure to come on a day that you are not busy so you won't have to rush. Once I decided on the car, the financing portion was definitely the easiest part. They answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I really liked how Karina thoroughly explained all the documents I was signing and didn't rush me while I was reading. I will definitely do business again with this place. read more

Yo stay the fuck away. Went with a friend to check out some cars. And right away you get a shady vibe. She said she spoke to some Sam dude. Who wasn't there miraculously. These guys are dishonest as can be, plain as simple. After speaking with "Sammie" on the phone multiple times regarding a specific Mercedes Benz, I was guaranteed that the car was in Excellent condition with no issues at all to the paint, body or mechanics. I was very clear to "Sammie" that I was flying in from San Francisco to Los Angeles to test drive and purchase the car and was only interested if indeed the car was in perfect condition. After flying into LAX and taking a $50 + Uber ride to the dealership in Sun Valley, I got a bad vibe immediately upon my arrival. The car had rock chips and sun fading to the paint in many areas. On top of this, they had made repairs to areas of the vehicle's paint and had done a terrible job. The repairs were discolored and not even wet sanded (orange peeling and bubbles in the fresh paint...). Against my best judgement, I continued to view the other cars on their lot in hopes of finding a car they may work. After viewing every single car on their lot, I found that every car had bad discrepancies. I wound up test driving a BMW and was ready to make an offer on the vehicle. Sitting down with one of the salesman, he bagan to tell me the car was a "dealer buyback" (essentially a bad lemon...). At that point, I walked out of the dealership, got in another $50 Uber and flew back home to San Francisco. In short, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. They wasted nearly $500 of mine in travel costs along with an entire Saturday. They blatantly lied to me multiple times and every car on the dealerships lot has something wrong with it. Oh the worst part - after test driving a BMW X5 SUV, I noted to one of the salesman that the rear brakes were totally worn and he did agree (surprisingly). The other salesman working with him came to the car and I brought the issue up to him. He inspected the brakes and claimed to me the brakes were in "excellent condition" although his partner said otherwise... You could tell he was pissed at the other when he realized what had just happened. The next weekend, I made a trip to Alameda, CA and purchased a car from a reputable used car dealership who sells quality used cars in great condition. I am very happy with my purchase and got a low mileage vehicle in great condition for about 30% less than Statewide Auto Sales had listed one of their high mileage beaters for. read more

So pumped rolling out of Statewide with my new car!! I just purchased my first Mercedes! I don't have the best credit and they approved me. BUYER BEWARE!!! 100% SCAM!!! SAM IS DAVID WHO CLAIMS TO HAVE NO PART IN SALES!!! They will say anything to get you in their office. Website inventory not up to date. Was looking for a car they claim to just had sold. Down talked it by saying, "It'll give you problems. Why would you want that car?" Talked to the old guy David and he said Sam wasnt there. Claims to not have nothing to do with sales. He's just shows the cars. Drove the car I initially wanted but it had 134,000 miles on it. Over the phone "Sam" said it had 94,000. THEY WILL SAY ANYTHING TO GET YOU ON THE LOT!!! Picked a car after test driving three. Then we go to his office. I tell him Sam said all I needed was this amount, there would be no taxes, and payments would be 180-190. He says there's nothing "Sam" can do it's up to the finance department. I wanted to speak to Sam at that point hoping to get the deal I was offered. He says call the office and it will be transferred to Sam's cell phone. I call Statewide in front of him and asked to be transferred to sales. The phone in his office rings. LIAR!!! He is in charge of sales. He is the one who you speak with. At this point I was fed up, but determined. So I went to the next step... Finance dept. Then I get an email from CreditKarma for a hard inquiry. I asked the Filipino lady in the finance department do they run credit? She said no, until I showed her the hard inquiry on my CreditKarma. Then said "Oh..." Lying bitch! Asked for the carfax but she said, "After I input your information and close the deal then I'll show you." Frustrated I said show me the carfax or give me my money back. Showed me an outdated one. Claimed servers were down. Wanted me to pay 4,700 as a down payment for a monthly payment of 349 or 5700 for a monthly payment of 249. I do the math and 349 x 48 months is over 15,000... So a 11,900 vehicle turns into 20,000+ with down payment, taxes and interest? I told them I dont want the car give me my money back. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!! read more
