Edmunds price was 14k, I got here and they said the car was 16k but they will honor the price on Edmunds. They wanted to charge me 2190 extra for etching and anti-theft. The car already comes with it! You should not charge people extra for a feature that is already on the car! That is absurd! That is like listing a car for 14k that has leather seats and charging extra for the leather seats when they get there! You can not do that!! That is a idiotic business practice to try to get more people in the door and more money in your pocket! Be straightforward! People do not actually want to haggle! Old school used car sales. I was ready to buy a Toyota Highlander. It was used had a few scratches, warm air conditioning, one rear window didn't roll down, tire pressure light lit. DON'T GO HERE! All the negative reviews about this place are true! We should've checked this place out before we went. I can't imagine any of the positive reviews are real, must pay for these reviews somehow. Went to Karplus Warehouse, Pacoima on a Saturday, found and purchased a truck for my son the same day. They insisted that we buy $2,000 in extras - Theft Patrol (stolen vehicle recovery GPS device) for $1500 plus a $500 install fee; Door guards to protect paint for $500. We refused several times but were told if we want to buy the vehicle it is mandatory, there is no choice. When I said we don't appreciate being forced to buy these extras, especially at such an expensive rate, I was told by the sales manager "no one is forcing you to buy the vehicle sir, if you buy from us, that's how we do it, no exceptions". I was ready to walk out but my son really wanted this truck, so I went along for his sake. Additionally, they kept trying to sell me a high APR loan, ran my credit multiple times and I have a credit score over 800. They only wanted to sell me the loan that benefited them. I attempted to pay a large down payment of $18,000 with a credit card and was told there would be a 3% fee. I reminded him that is illegal in California, and he then told me they would accept $8,000 max on a credit card without charging a fee. Credit report ran multiple times, $8,000 down payment collected, all the paperwork was filled out and signed by both parties. The truck was officially ours. They then told us they would need to keep the truck for a few days to do a smog check and install all the extras they forced on us. Told us we would get the vehicle before the end of the week. They said they would hold onto all the paperwork and give it to us when we pick up the truck. Thought nothing of it at the time and was on our way. Afterall, we have an $8,000 credit card receipt to confirm our purchase. We then received a call on Tuesday from the sales manager stating they could not sell us the vehicle due to their mechanic saying the vehicle has too many mechanical problems and is not worth fixing and they have to return it to the auction where they purchased it. Which according to the Carfax report they provided to us is in Texas, purchased January 2021. We test drove the truck and it seemed completely fine, no indications of any mechanical issues. We went back to Karplus that same night and had a difficult time at first getting our $8,000 deposit back. Finally, they "found" someone who was "qualified" to refund our credit card. I believe it took about a week or so before got the money refunded. Which is problematic because we had to wait for the money before purchasing a different vehicle, somewhere other than Karplus of course. Here's the best part, while in the financing office on Saturday (the day of purchase) they downloaded the vehicle tracker app on my son's phone so he would have it when he picked up the truck. A couple days later we decided to check the app and see where the truck was. We observed the truck driving around locally for several days. Someone clearly had the truck and was driving it around regularly and daily. One of these days, the truck was very close to our residence, so we decided to go check it out and see if it was in fact the truck and why it was there. Sure enough, it was the truck we had purchased and it was being used to load some furniture. We asked the guy who was loading the truck if it was his and he said yes, he just bought it about the same time we had. We said it's a nice truck and he said yes, a very nice truck. WOW! I have never done business with anyone or any company this shady. Do yourself a huge favor and do not go here for anything. AVOID SHOPPING HERE! My husband and I were looking for a new truck. We saw a lot of the type he wanted here so we decided to stop in. Firstly, you should be aware that almost all their vehicles are bought through auctions in other states. Although they offer you a free CARFAX report I have found that those can be unreliable. All their vehicles are sold as is and you have to purchase an additional warranty, unless for some reason it is still under the factory warranty. There really is no guarantee you're buying a sound vehicle and if something's missing or broken they do not really like to fix them when you purchase. Furthermore they install extra accessories onto their vehicles that you're forced to pay the purchase of when you buy something from them so when you see a sticker price know that they're going to add another $3,000 on to that for their accessories which you have no choice but to pay. Now let's get to the financing. I told them i only authorized them to run my credit one time and they agreed. I have 6 hard inquiries on my report from them now. These people told me that they could finance the loan through Capital One at 13.9% interest and told me my credit score was only 640. They also deduct any down payment you have after they figure out the amount financed. So with a sticker price of almost $31690 plus the $3k in unwanted installed accessories, even with putting $5k cash the total of my payments would have been close to 55,000 at the end of the term which is crazy and does not add up. What I didn't realize at the time was that they were adding points on to the loan that was offered by Capital One. I told them i would rather get a personal loan from my boss and pay cash for the truck. Even after telling them i had the ability to do so they still tried to talk me in to financing for one month or to secure the vehicle and paying it off in a month. Why would i do that? That would be the difference between paying out almost $40k cash and whatever they added to the loan for themselves. What actually got me to realizing this was when the sales guy had called me the next day and told me I could have negotiated for a lower interest rate. Why would they not offer you the best rate possible from the beginning? To my knowledge you can't negotiate interest rates they are what they are. At the end of the experience something just didn't sit right in my gut and I always listen to it so I told my husband no and we left. I'm glad I did. I actually wound up buying a brand new truck for $14, ,000 more than the truck I looked at here. Not only are my payments over $100 less than what they quoted me here but my interest rate is also at 3.9% through guess who Capital One and to top it all off my credit score was actually 670! I would not recommend if you are looking to finance that you go through this dealership. Even if your paying cash expect to pay more money because of the accessories that they don't tell you about until after you're sitting down. And they don't even take the time to learn your name because when they called me the next day the guy kept calling my husband Robert but his name is Ricky. read more

The price on the website is not the price you get upon arrival. I wanted to buy a Fiat 500 for $7,244 as it was announced on the carfax website. Online price: $7,244 (with taxes should be around $8,000) The price they gave with taxes: $10,600. I feel the difference. When me and my family arrived salesman told us $7,650 + $644 (DMV fee which should be about $135 actually) and the rest $2,300 is another fee! So it's $10,600 in total! Oh! OK I'm giving two stars because Elizabeth was an amazing person although she came up to me first thing and said "I wanna make a deal with this car and have you leave with it today" at $13,999 I said great! Karplus IS selling repossessed​ vehicles as the middleman for the banks (it's kinda like buying a foreclosed home). So there are a few things that differ here than in buying from a dealership. It helps to understand what you're dealing with before you go in and the potential pitfalls of buying under these conditions. Cars are sold "as is" so be VERY sure to check the CarFax and have your own mechanic check it over for current problems and for what's about to break BEFORE you buy. The good: Anthony (our fantastic, HONEST, and helpful salesperson​) Cruz (his friend and fellow sales-guy), and Armand (one of the sales managers) were all professional, helpful, and upfront about the vehicle and the sales process. Now, granted, it IS their job to make a sale at a profit, but they were all truthful when asked a question. Anthony, in particular, was a pleasure to deal with. They allowed us time to take the vehicle 45 min (each way) to our mechanic and honored his assessment by agreeing to fix the one issue he found (wheel alignment). Other than that, the vehicle was in excellent condition. The "bad": They tack on 2K for ELO tracking devices etc. when the price advertised​ SHOULD reflect all the equipment​ on the vehicle. That DOES feel like a bait-and-switch. Just list the "real price" online! Also, their other dealerships fees. BUT these are negotiable. If you know what the fees "should be" then you can cut these in half--or more. Overall: It was a good buying experience and a quality vehicle purchased for a fair price. The process was made as pleasant as such things can be by the sales staff. I called about a van. (very long story short) I Todd then 3x to have the car ready for test drive. I get there and it's blocked in. Takes 30 minutes to get it ready for test drive. Dude tried to get me to not drive it and just go in and do financing to which u laughed in his face. Finally they got it costed it to go for drive. Oil dip stick shows low oil (but oil looks new so I figure maybe they did oil change and didn't put enough in it... No biggie). On test drive back brakes are grinding. He says they can change the brakes. Back door will not open. They say they will fix it. We live in to finance. Todd then I had 1500 down payment car is advertised as 7300. They originally wanted 2600 fuel 395x24 months. Turns out they have a hidden fees of 2,000 dollars for "anti theft". Which is basically their GPS to find you if you don't pay your payments. I told him negative. I can do 1800 down and 395 monthly is fine. Even tho it's way over original price I agreed since it will hello be fix my credit up a bit. He comes back with 2000 tonight, 600 within 14 days and 395x24. Again I say I don't want to because that means I have to do 2400 tonight and 30 days will cost be about another 1200 for balance plus first payment. And that puts me in uncomfortable position. Back and forth they say ok, 2 Grand down and 425 per month. So I think on fine. 25x24 is 600 bucks so fine. After running the numbers and Street 8 times of me telling them I'm nit handing them my cash down until they do the paperwork it turns out the 425 is 36 months. Not 24. That's a total of 17,300 doors for a car that was supposed to be 7300. do I look that stupid? And are there people so desperate to get a car that they agree to this shit? And after another long debate I just left. I refuse to pay 10 Grand over advertised price just because my credit may not be the best. people who after to these numbers are people who end up with repo's after they go home and they realize what just happened to them and how bad they got raped. No thanks. I'll attach pictures of the advertised price and the "fine print" which says "anti theft" is extra which is where they get the 2,000 dollar extra fee from. Decent customer service but unethical business practices. Mo in Sales and Allen in Finance were unhelpful and dishonest in our transaction, and virtually impossible to get ahold of now that I've had issues. I bought my 2012 BMW 335i 2 weeks ago, and there already mechanical problems (expected on this type of car), and I keep finding razorblades in the cupholders, engine bay, and under the seats. I even cut my finger on one trying to clear leaves out from under the hood. Also, the additional/mandatory $2,000 for GPS should be listed on the site. With no opt out, it's pretty shady to throw that in there right before signing. Since I expected at least some issues might not be disclosed, I opted for the warranty plan. After researching the warranty company KarPlus uses, I realized it's little more than a scam and I contacted Allen to cancel the warranty. I've contacted Allen 9 times (5 emails, 4 phone calls), and the only response I've gotten was him asking me to call him back- which I have tried repeatedly. I went to go buy a car at karplus last month in September. But then I noticed there was an issue with the airbag system. So I had to go and bring it in and they said they would fix the issue in a week. But now its been 2 and a half weeks and I'm not even sure when they will give me the car back. Then the first two weeks they gave me a 6 cylinder vehicle when i kept asking them to give me a 4 cylinder because i spent 200 on gas which is not okay because i have to commute to work. I came here looking at a beamer I found through USAA's car buying service. They directed me to this dealership, where the price was guaranteed but non-negotiable. The price seemed fair, and the car seemed alright, so I came to test drive it and get it inspected. When I got there, I had an appointment with a salesman. He didn't even show up to work that day. So another salesman talked to me. When we stepped into the vehicle, the car was dirty on the inside. When I tried turning it on, it wouldn't start. The battery was dead. When I challenged them on this, their answer was, "well, you can't expect us to keep ALL these cars working, right?!" In spite of my better judgement, I kept pursuing the deal. We got it inspected, and it passed. The Carfax seemed okay as well. So we went back to the dealership to talk numbers. The salesman talked with the manager, who promptly send a note to me saying the price I saw is expired, and the price went up by $3500. I called him out on his lie, and told him that USAA guaranteed the price I indicated. After a long argument, the manager agreed to the original price. They did their best to get me to finance through them. I refused, and ran out of time. I had to be elsewhere in town. I took my leave. In response to their latest response here: I did change the wording to my review a bit, and I'm still getting exact same message across. I did not change the type of car I was buying... BMW and Beamer are two terms used interchangeably. I'm not abusing Yelp to get what I want at the expense of others. If you check out my other reviews, you'll find that I give most places pretty good ratings. You'll also find that I have plenty of credibility.
