My review is based on my personal experience 1 year ago and nothing to do with whatever I have read online. I just want to be fair with whoever I'm leaving the review specially with Karplus which I read the reviews after I purchased and more of the bad reviews does not make sense to me and more of a buyer's remorse or bad luck rather than service oriented reviews. First of all Karplus is selling pre-owned vehicles which means it is used not by them but whoever is the previous owner is. As far as I know, they get their vehicle from auction the same way all the dealership get theirs. By deciding to buy a pre-owned vehicle because you don't want to spend tons of money on a new one, you should already know the precautions you need to take before doing so. I don't blame them if somewhere along the way of owning the vehicle, you might have a bad luck and having problems with the vehicle. I believe that if you want to go the direction of blaming others instead of yourself, first you blame yourself, then the manufacturer of the car, then the owner of the car, then last is the dealer who sold it to you. Even if you buy a brand new vehicle which in my case happened to me 2 times, after the warranty expired I have problems with my steering on my 2006 Murano which I was charge by the dealer $2000 to fix it. It only has 37k miles but basic warranty is gone and powertrain is left, then at 50k miles axle had a problem that warranty covered, next is my New 2011 Pilot which below 10k miles developed a noise on the engine and a transmission shifting problem as well. These experience brought me to just buy a pre-owned vehicle which is great on value and you can still purchase an extended warranty up to the same term as what the brand new car has. Back to my experience. I was searching online and found Karplus website that promted me to scan there vehicles. I was in a market for a compact sized car for dependability and economy reasons, a car that I can just use in the valley from point A to B. Yelp also showed on the result page but did not bother to read. I saw a 2012 Chevy Cruze on their website and considering the price miles and year, it's perfect on what I was looking for. I called and set-up an appointment with one of the salesperson and to tell you the truth, he was persistent on bringing me in the dealership. I gave it a shot and came the next day which is my day off. I test drove the Cruze but seems very less space for cargo. I went around the lot and they have a huge inventory. I saw a 2012 Malibu which is in my price range and fell in love with it. Went ahead and dealt with the numbers. It took a little bit because I was not planning to purchase that day. They did everything to persuade me. Import things which got them my business. 1) They showed me the Carfax. 2) The advised me to show it to my mechanic( I spend $150 for this a peace of mind). 3)Financing was great that I could not resist. 4) Last is they gave me a 3 months warranty for free if I buy that day. Overall I have a great experience and it's been 1 year and my Malibu is still in great condition with only changing oils between intervals and other minor maintenance. I would definitely recommend them based on my experience. I believe that sometimes luck plays a big role in buying a vehicle whether it's a new or preowned. Just be a wise buyer. I recently purchase a truck from this company last 2 months ago as well as a car few years back. I was happy with my last purchase because by experience I did extra effort to save me future problems. The lot was huge and they have plenty of selection to be fair. When I purchased my truck I got my friend was is a mechanic to come with me and double checking the truck that I want. I came on a weekend which is busy and understandable that my salesman who was working with me has to work another customer. It did not matter because he was just finishing the customer he has before me. He gave me good service after that. I worked directly with the manager. He remembers me from before. I came asking for the salesperson who helped me before when I bought my 2002 corolla, he was not working with them no more. The deal went well and truck is good as my friend said and hope it will be good to me. The Corolla that I purchased before have some minor issues with that car before after I purchased it. I don't know a lot about car's before that when I test drive it and it felt good, I decided to buy it right away without thinking twice or having it checked out with a third party mechanic. When I was driving home I felt a hissing sound outside and suspected it was coming from the tires. When I got home, I have a flat tire. I don't know if it was from the dealership or started when I was heading home. Anyways no big deal. Next 4 days the check engine light was on. I called my salesman and had me transferred to the service manager. He said check the cap of the gas tank. I checked and he was right, I forgot to put it back after I filled gas. It solved it. After a month, one of the back up lights stopped working. I got fix. I thought that there is more to come but luckily been driving it for 4 years and still running good. To cut the story short, I learned my lesson to always make sure of what you are buying, specially a vehicle that you will own and drive for years to come. Not only buying from Karplus but any dealership specially when you buy pre-owned, take it to a mechanic that you trust or buy an extended warranty. It will make your life easier and less problems in the future. I don't think that any dealership can be blamed of selling bad cars specially pre-owned. These are machines and made to be broken. When you buy from a private seller, and you purchased a bad car and you are trying to blame the seller for selling you a bad car, they will just say you test drive it and it was running good and you cant do anything with it. Be a wise buyer and always check what your buying and save yourself future headache. If that corolla that I purchased was perfect without any issues, I could have given them a five star but because of that I can't give a 5. Fair is fair in my book. read more

I bought a 2006 Lariat F250 back in September of 2016. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE GAP INSURANCE. THIS COMPANY GETS A HUGE KICK BACK FOR SELLING IT. SO THEY TRY AND JAM IT DOWN YOU THROAT. THE WARRANTY IS AS GOOD AS USED TOILET PAPER. I was looking for a diesel truck to pull a trailer that I had just purchased. I found this truck sitting on their lot listed at 14,900 with 196,000 miles on it. It was high but the previous owner had kept good care of it proven by a hefty carfax report. I instantly fell in love with the truck and shot gunned the purchase. I had no problem with getting finance. That said, I got stuck with 9.49% Ok fine, I transferred it to a 0% shortly thereafter. On the very first trip out with the trailer, I got a check engine light going up the Grape Vine. This was due the the engine oil temp exceeding the coolant temp by 20 degrees. This was due to a bad oil cooler. Ok fine, I went ahead and replaced it along with a bunch of other preventative maintenance items. None of this would have been covered by the used toilet paper warranty, which I did not purchase. That was fine, I could handle that. The Powerstroke 6.0 is a motor with known problems, and I knew this going in. I chose this truck mainly due to the carfax. I can and did fix most of the issues. 1500 dollars in parts. The truck mechanically is sound and in that regard, I scored. I will own this truck for a very long time since new diesels run 60 grand +. What I can't fix is the accident it was in, The driver door doesn't shut right, there is a 1/2 finger size gap between the front and rear passenger side door. and the bed sits out to the left by 1/8 inch and the front bed wall was bent so bad it touched the cab. I tried to correct this by bending the bed wall bad and adjusting the bed position on the frame. But you can still tell. The title was "clean" with "no accidents". Obviously the previous owner had an accident and got rid of the truck. karplus bought it at a salvage auction because although it had been in an accident, the title was clean. The truck is going to the shop soon to get this sorted out. This is "your run of the mill" quick flip dealership just bigger. Your not getting a great used car your getting a monthly payment. Next time, I will go to a real dealership and get a factory warranty. read more

My husband and I went here because my brother had a good experience many years ago. On May 1st we saw a Mazda 6 for sale on their website. We came into the lot and asked to see the Mazda but they could not find the car, later stating that it was sold from their Pasadena lot. I even called to confirm the car was there before driving from Lancaster. They most definitely did a bait and switch on us as I checked the website two weeks and then one month later and the car was still being advertised on their website. We ended up being pressured into purchasing a 2005 Dodge Magnum, turns out two days later the check engine came on, shortly after the ETC and BAS lights were on and the car started surging, I had no throttle and was forced to pull over and try to keep restarting until I could drive again. The car became so bad that it was not drivable. It spent the the next 10 days at the Dodge dealership while they tried to figure out what was wrong. Ended up being the PCM $800.00 to fix. Not only did Karsplus tell us one price and gave us another but they never disclosed that the car was a rental, I noticed it was a rental car during signing of the contract. NO ONE EVER mentioned it had a rental car history. Additionally the cars CD player doesn't work, driver speaker doesn't work the driver side & passenger airbag lights are always on(which the Dodge dealer said needs to be fixed for safety reasons). This dealership is very shady....i traded my Honda civic in and they only wanted to give me $800.00 low and behold the salesman had a "friend" just waiting around outside to offer me $1500.00( mhm...i'm sure this was a set up). I also deferred $500.00 until a later date to make the $2000.00 down they wanted, when the car was having issues I called to tell them I needed to work out paying the $500 at a later date as we have to pay for repairs instead. Ken (the owner) said to pay 1/2 now and 1/2 in two weeks, they never debited my account for the 500.00..........hmm why wouldn't they? Is this some sort of admission of guilt? Karsplus is not a good dealership to do business with they are scamming people and selling cars with mechanical issues. The process was very smooth and quick, was looking for an advertised vehicle from Carfax which actually showed the correct car history and overall maintenance and miles. The advertised price on the website was honored by the manager there which was very convenient. The salesman Mark who helped us find the vehicle right away was very helpful in answering my questions regarding the vehicle's history and features which proved very informative. His patience and knowledge of explaining the car process to us was extremely beneficial as I was also a first time car buyer. In purchasing my first time vehicle, Allen K. who is the director at the facility was also extremely helpful and very patient in the financial process with any questions we had about the warranty, history of the vehicle, and most of all the pricing. The car buying process with Allen K. was very informative and not rushed which I liked as each information or deal about the vehicle in interest was explained very carefully without any concerns. Regarding any concerns you may have such as warranties or prices, Allen K. is the best of the best when it comes to your number one source for answers. If you are a first time buyer or looking for a friendly dealership in Southern Cal, I would highly recommend Karplus Warehouse due to that they are on top and informative about the vehicle you have in interest. They provide you with contact information regarding any questions you may have before you even come in and they are very patient in helping fulfilling the needs you have. I will start by saying that this was the least stressful car buying experience I have had. My fiancé and I drove around to a few different car dealer ships looking for the right price on an Infinity that I have been obsessing over. I had a really bad taste in my mouth from the other experiences with dealers. The last guy we saw told me that his car had been sitting on the lot for over 6 month, and that he would rather "let the car rot on the lot then lose $1,000!" I was done after that statement. We didn't have an appointment when we showed up at Karptlus, but that didn't matter at all. Carlos (JC) was quick to attend to us. From the introduction, we knew instantly that this place was far better than any other place we had been too. Even though they did not have the same car we originally saw online, Carlos was able to show us one that was slightly better. He really advocated for us to get us the payment that we could afford, and Lon followed through. Lon made sure that I was totally comfortable with the payment and that he did everything he could possibly do. We were then seamlessly handed over to Max who finalized the purchase while making sure we got the absolute best interest rate. I was blown away at how well they all worked together. Carlos, Lon, and Max are definitely the dream team at Karplus. They were all very funny, and didn't try too hard to push the purchase on me. Sooo i was car researching for a coupla months until i found the KARPLUS Warehouse site,long story short,my search was over!!! I asked JR one of the Managers if he could give me an over the phone (text)out the door price,he(JR) didn't hesitate! Not only did he meet my request,he also asked if that was in my price range,not once was i pressured about how much did i want to spend,very important for me. When i asked this same request from other dealedships,it was ALWAYS a song and dance with 99% of them. Fast forward to me moving on the quoted price JR gave me,but still had concerns if the vehicle was good. JR assured me the Vehicle is legit. After answering every question by me,i drove from San Diego to Pacoima,CA to do the deal! The sales men Rene was an absolute gentleman,very professional and courteous as it was very late that friday night (9:30pm ish). Rene should be employee of the month as he was juggling a few customers!! I agreed to pick up the car the next day,Saturday,it was then Orlando,the Finance manager gave me a KILLER warranty deal. So now today, 3/11/2018 I'm driving back to Tucson with my son fully confident with my purchase as i had the Vehicle checked out by a Honda Dealership in San Diego. The entire experience was so rewarding i wanted to share with the public!
