This is probably the most deceiving car dealership I had to work with. After 2 days of negotiating a final Out The Door (OTD) price for a vehicle I wanted to buy, I drove an hour to this stealership on Wednesday, Oct 4th, 2023. The car looked and drove good after the test drive. When it came to get the paperwork and payment started, a shift manager named 'Mr. Chavez' sat us down and talked to us about a mistake on the pricing and claimed that the new OTD price is actually $4,000 more than what was agreed on previously. I was furious at this point and ready to leave the stealership, but 'Mr. Chavez' convinced to stay so he can make a phone call. After a 20-30mins, a clown named 'Lon', another manager, tried to b.s. his way and started to scribble some numbers that he clearly pulled out of his butt hole. He began to justify the price change to the included theft prevention system, door edge protection, and some "etching" of some sort which are all obviously bogus and an attempt to up-charge and rip me off on a used 2013 vehicle! He acted like he was trying to help us and at this point they now only want an additional $1000 on top of the agreed upon price! GTFOH! They pride themselves of being in the business for 30 years, lol. This money-hungry shark "Lon" even attempted to say that I failed to mention the city that I lived in and that it carried a much higher tax, which is a complete lie since I have the text conversation on my phone when they asked me this for the OTD pricing. So after a heated argument, I stormed out of there while cussing them out and calling them on their unfair business practice of bait and switch. They are very greedy and will they use any means possible to steal money from you. Beware of this establishment especially 'Mr. Chavez and 'Lon' I will be reporting them to FTC and other agencies. read more

Salesman tried to justify fees by saying it still worked out cheap? Stay away from these criminals. Man I hate to write this but I have to. I'll start by saying i literally grew up in car dealerships. My dad ran Ford and Chrysler dealerships when i was young and owned used car lots when i was a teenager. I understand how annoying potential customers can be when they ask to see car after car but I was also taught by my dad that you never know when someone has a wad of cash in their pocket, waiting to give it to someone. I contacted this car lot looking for a specific car I found online. Drove 30 miles to check it out and immediately was a little off put with the salesmans lack of concern towards me but I understood. It was a 8 year old car, not worth a lot of money so I get it. Commission was prob not great. He pretty much showed me the car and walked away. I messed around a little, then went to find him to see if they had any model of another manufacture i was also interested in. He said if we have them they are over there and pointed me in a direction. They had zero of that model. He had zero idea of what he had on the lot. Not great. Anyways, I made my way back to him and wanted to take it for a test drive. This particular car has a very well known trans issue so anyone who has any idea of what they are doing 100% needs to test drive these cars. I was immediately met with a look of disgust and then was pretty much told he was only interested in giving me a test drive if I was going to purchase a vehicle today. I will add all while he was cramming a donut down in his face. I told him what I said above about the trans issues and still he looked less than thrilled about the whole situation. He finally said ok but that gave me pause. I thought if he doesn't care enough to let someone test drive a care with known issues, what else can he and everyone on this lot be hiding. Didn't sit well with me so I said, you know what, nevermind...and left. As I was on the road I called and wanted to talk to a floor manager. I wanted to let them know my experience and that maybe they should have a talk with their sales staff. I didn't want to give his name or my name. I didn't want him called out our singled out but for the manager to remind all customers should be treated like they have a wad of cash in their pocket. As you can imagine, I got the run around and was told a manager would call me back as they all were busy. BS. I know the game. They never called back. P.S. I had a wad of cash in my pocket. P.S.S. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Elizabeth. I told her what I came in to see and she immediately helped me look at exactly what I wanted. I test drove 2 vehicles. I ended up falling in love with a Jaguar instantly. We talked numbers. Were not pushy at all. I told them I wanted to have my wife see the vehicle to get her thoughts. I explained I came in my wife's car and she had no way of coming and they offered to let me drive the Jaguar to my home 10 miles away! I came back and we had a deal. Yes there were add ons I didn't necessarily want but having theft protection isn't a bad thing. My insurance is ridiculously low because of the GPS. Prices listed on the cars were different than the prices online so make sure to check and compare to get the best deal! All cars come with ELO GPS that you have to get. Cars are sold AS IS so make sure to check everything and point out any flaws before making your purchase to see if they can either fix it for you or if you are okay with it. We had a couple minor cosmetic flaws which we pointed out and they were more than happy to schedule a day to bring the car back and fix it! Car is gorgeous, runs well and we LOVE it!! Do not buy a car here. They are lemons. I bought a car 2 years ago that ended up having the exhaust pipes cut. One day 2 of buying which they did. A week after buying I noticed gas leaking in front on rear driver side tire and my back bumper starts melting off because of the exhaust. They fixed the gas tank which was cut and leaking but they wouldnt fix the bumper or exhaust problem because they said it is altered and that I must have done it. But clearly the gads tank was cut when the pipes were cut. Fast forward to present, my car has been paid off almost a year now and I receive an email that was meant for some other customer mistaking sent to me talking about problems with their vehicle too. Im just curious why my personal info is still in their system, floating around for anyone to get ahold of. read more

Do not buy from them. $4000 in extra accessories on contract and they cannot explain what they actually are. Car broke down with in 5 days theyre mechanic did an oil change. 2 days later engine light goes on and then off. They can't do anything unless it's on. Took it to another mechanic who quoted me $7000 to repair and said it looked like they turned off the codes with a reader. Opened air compressor and there were 1000s of what look like seeds. Bird seed. Did a reverse pic found out they are carpet beetles and have been there a long time. They feed off the leather and got into the air lines. When I told them they asked me where I parked the car and made it my fault. In 6 mos car has been in the shop every other week. Now I hear boiling sound after I drive any sort of distance. Coolant is boiling but they've replaced lines, reserve,cap and pressurized it. Still boils. We're going to look into the engine now. $50000 of junk. read more

Typical Car Dealer BS - we check out the car, we talk to a rep and get pricing and expected trade in value, we drive 1.5 hours and off we go. $2500 in add on tech not needed, oh that included door guards for $695, and he looked me in the eyes and said installation costs. They are $9.95 at an auto parts store and a monkey would/could install them for a single banana. Then we are given the old, we pay more that what we are asking at the auction, but we make our money in add on's, yeah add on's whether you need them or not. An hour of blah, blah, blah, and we left. Buyer Beware!!! This place is such a bait and switch and I do not believe a single good review is a real review. They did exactly what so many other people on this post have said. They advertise one price and then force a bunch of things you do not want, door guards, theft patrol, and window etching. Added $2800 to the cost of the car. When I said to the Finance Manager that was crazy, he told me I was crazy to expect to pay the advertised price. To make matter worse they ran a hard pull on my credit when they told me it would be a soft pull, and so far they have not sent me the request dispute form I asked for. If Karplus can give me one example of a person who paid the advertised price out the door (no forced add ons) I will change this to a positive review. If you want to buy a car from an honest place, Karplus is not it. read more

One was where they quoted us a specific low interest rate, then came to us with a monthly payment that was way more than I expected. I threatened to walk, and they came back with a payment $50 less, for the same period of time. So the initial offer was for a much higher interest rate, which they apparently thought we were too desperate to turn down. Plus the sales woman said we could finance the car through our bank, but then the finance guy said you can only finance it through them. That's the last car I will ever buy from them. read more

I asked him for a complete breakdown and of course he couldn't provide it moving along, I asked what, if I decided to finance would my payments and APR look like.... $350 a month ! How, why? So I been reading reviews of coarse before I bought. Some good and some bad but ultimately I bought the car I wanted here because of the price and really because they did their best to help me out compared to other dealerships. My credit wasnt the best of coarse but I had huge down to buy it cash but I know I have to pay for my mistakes previously but ultimately they actually got me lowest rate not no crazy long term payment and actually educated me on the finance part to pay off vehicle sooner. Take it car was advertised lower which I did notice and what they did was lower it to "add" the security feature which I've seen at other dealers do but they're advertised number was at blue book value already. For me I feel I paid bluebook with adding the security feature so it didn't bug me really. Should it be clearer maybe so but as consumer we should do our research too. Another dealer was charging me 24k plus the features and I got mine 20k plus features and came out to the 24k ultimately. I got my logins to track mt car so I'm good. If you're stating you don't like it because they can track it due to non payment then that's personally something you should even think about before buying one.. Finally thank you Steven for following up and making it happen. Ultimately I knew the car I wanted and I kept it simple. Get me the numbers I want and I'll take it if not I'll go elsewhere and don't waste time. And you did that. I saw a car online and I thought I'd go check it out since I was in the area. I drove in the karplus parking lot and got off. It was a hot day in the valley.I had no appointment because I was just thinking about buying a new car. I saw the jeep that I saw online and I went to look at it. It was just as advertised but looked better in person. As I was walking away an employee approached me and asked if I needed any help or have any questions. From that point on I was in good hands I was taking into the nice air conditioning office and started filling out an application then I test drove the vehicle I was interested in and before you know it all paperwork was finished. Unfortunately Since it was labor day all banks were closed so I have to come back with my funds to finalize the payment plan. So when I got home I ate dinner showered and went to bed earlier than normal and my fiancee asked me why am I going to bed earlier than normal. Since it was a surprise and she didn't know where I went I just told her I was tired. But the real reason was I was excited and wanted tomorrow to come faster so I thought if I went to sleep by the time I wake up tomorrow would be here. Well its now the next day. Paperwork has already been accepted, the loan was all approved the jeep was washed and ready but all that was needed to complete the deal was for me to show up with the rest of the money and I can drive off in my new car. I know it's a little early but I wanted to thank Antonio Sabat who first approached me and I'd like to thank the owner Ron, Javier, the manager and all the rest of the crew who had helped me and made me feel comfortable with my new purchase of my new vehicle. I'm about to go pick up and surprise my fiancee and daughters with our new jeep and go for a ride wherever the jeep can take us. Hopefully it's not to bumpy and I hope there's no drink or food on the floor since it's out new vehicle.
