Wow! These negative reviews date back to how long?! These people aren't making this stuff up, listen like I should have! Despite reading all the negative comments I still took the hour and a half trip to go there because they were selling the car of my dreams, 2006 Saab convertible in Pearl White! Car was beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside. I took it to a mechanic in Irvine that specializes in volvo & Saab. I paid for a diagnostic inspection, and got back a 4 page list of what was wrong with the car, totaling over $8k in repairs!!! One of the things needed was a new transmission! Within 4 days I returned the car and got out of the contract but it wasn't easy. And I had to pay penalties for cancellation 2! What bullshit! I don't know how this place stays in business but keep in mind if u do buy and get stuck with a piece of shit there are lemon lawyers. One was very eager 2 take my case. read more

While they were able to get us financing which, given our recent circumstances, was fabulous I do have to say the experience was less than wonderful. Do not check out their website and think that what they are advertising is actually on the lot because it is NOT. Even sending an inquiry does not get you the answers you are looking for - a simple "is this vehicle still available?" is answered with give me a call and I will tell you about this and other vehicles available. Also the customer service is rather horrible. Don't get me wrong they are friendly and polite, but while you are waiting "5 minutes" which turns into 45+ minutes they ignore you! They have your ID which they refuse to return to you until you are walking out the door with a car so if you get fed up and want to leave good luck. Good selection of cars that are in decent shape but certainly not many in the lower price range if that is what you are wanting. Our salesman, after we were approved, just disappeared making everything just take longer. He was nowhere to be seen when we were ready to leave so someone else generously helped get the temp registration attached to the car so we could go home. I am happy with the car we were able to come home with and relieved that they could finance us,but would I ever grace their door again - no. read more

WORST dealer ever!! I bought a BMW grime these guys back in 2013 weeks later I started to have problems with the car mind you I never went back to complain I have fixed out of pocket $6900 worth in repairs, but besides that let me tell you the story so besides dealing with this car and all the expenses I decided that after 3 years I want a brand new truck so I go to keys Toyota where my friend works a close friend I've known since middle school, and tell him I want to trade my BMW he says ok let me check the car to make a long story short he comes back with the Carfax history and shows me that the cars was in an accident had 3 previous owners and has a number of recalls, I tell him listen the dealer showed me a the car history report and it says it's good and clean all around so I went back home faxes the paper work to my friend and showed him and he says that that history report isn't even valid it's not even real!! So besides me not being able to trade my car I go back to Kar Plus and show them the actual Carfax and the "Carfax" they supposedly claim to be original which they made me sign and gave me and they denied that to ever be given to me I'm going to take this to an attorney don't buy from these guys they are scammers and really honesty do you want to buy a car from a salesman that has a number of tattoos on his forehead and his breath smells like he ate out of shit bag come on I hadn't seen that guy ever but if I had seen him when I first walked in 3 years ago I would ha e walked right out Kat Plus are liers, scammers, fakes and they sell junk!!! I honestly would not give them a star but I have to give them atleast one so that my review can be posted pls pls pls I ask anyone hat reads this DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM KAR PLUS if credit or money is an issue let me tell you new car dealerships will always help you to get into a car no matter what your situation is there is always a way Kar plus is a dead end!!!! read more

Very pleased with the salesman that helped me Denny Esparza , wasn't pushy at all. When we did the test drive he was patient and nice. I've been to several dealers and haven't been as pleased as I was with him. Helpful and was able to accommodate all my questions and concerns, also his manager Lon helped me get some numbers even though I told him I wasn't buying the day I went. read more

We purchased a 2008 Jeep Liberty from these guys. When we arrived on the lot we were greeted immediately. We originally came to this place because we saw a car listed on craigslist we thought we wanted. But when we arrived it definitely was not in good shape and had a salvaged title. Our sales rep, AJ, was very forthcoming about this car and said it wasn't a good car for us (a small family) to buy. It was too big and used way too much gas. We then notice a Jeep next to it that looked interesting. AJ was great and got us all the info we needed to know about this vehicle. Through the negotiation process we felt as though WE were doing THEM a favor by purchasing this vehicle. It didn't really come from AJ but really his superiors. They ended up meeting us halfway with the price we wanted to pay so we agreed to purchase. Upon creating the contract to purchase there was a couple of things that they PROMISED to fix - clean the engine, interior and exterior of the car and fix the chip in the windshield. They also mentioned to us that every car goes though a safety inspection and needs to pass with 60% or above. Anything on the car that doesn't meet that 60% safety is fixed. After 2 days of having the vehicle home we came out and found a dead battery. When AAA showed up we discovered a very dirty engine and they said the battery was toast and needed to be replaced as it was dead and corroded. $120 later we had a new battery. When we took the vehicle back the following week to get the windshield fixed we received the worst customer service experience. Like I said we were doing them a favor by buying this car. I showed up 10 minutes late from the time they told me to be there and still waited 20 minutes for them to START on my car. No one knew what was going on. After waiting in the waiting area (with a small infant) I had to ask the manager on duty (the guy behind the counter) 3 times if my car was done. He finally said it was done and they would come get me. 15 minutes later no one came to get me so I walked out on my own to find my car done and sitting there in the parking lot and the manager outside on his cell phone on a personal call. i was so upset! I waited over an hour for something that should've taken 20 minutes AND I was never treated like a customer. Overall we received the worst customer service experience. No one knows what the hell is going on here. All three times of being there as a customer I was never talked to or asked if I wanted anything to drink. We originally came to this place because of the good reviews everyone was posting but when I came down to them performing they failed!! Their prices are fair but customer service needs a drastic improvement. read more

We actually had a great experience here. I admit I was skeptical after reading the reviews and then on arrival, the car lot had a big easy up in the center and a few men were sitting on a riser underneath. Not the most usual greeting, but Eli hopped down right away and addressed us. My hubby had looked up the car in question on Barron's and he had called the lot the previous day and they had said they had the car. But like all skeptics, I thought it was a bait and hook deal. Lo and behold, Eli found the car in question. The 4 stars is for the car in question. The car did not start at all. When we popped the hood, the battery cables were corroded. Eli jumped the car and we took the car for a spin. My hubby took the papers inside expecting them to reject the promised deal. They Didn't! And although it took about an hour, we were able to get our credit approve, write a check for the car with Allen, and then Eli brings the car around with a changed battery and no corroded lead. That really was epic. The only thing is that the Internet social media guy AJ says we have to write a review on Yelp to get a gas card that was promised on Yelp, but he wouldn't honor unless the review was written. So we shall see if we get a gas card. We will let you know. read more

stay far away as possible !!!! whatever price you saw, add about $1400 to it (for antitheft and some other bs thing) + another $1000 for other fees(not including tax)....so that is a total of $2400 extrea you will be paying then if you were to buy from a different car dealership. the general manager (armen i belive was his name ) is a pathological liar, and i personally think he would make a great fictional author beause of al the stories he comes up with. i don't even know if the cars they sell are even good quality or not. read more

I was recommended by a family friend that bought a car there. I saw their cars online and saw a 330ci BMW I was interested in, as well as a couple of m35 infiniti sedans. When I pulled into the dealership I saw the bunch of salesmen under a pop up tent hanging out. Nobody greeted me, or acknowledged me. I know I don't look like their target audience (young, tattoos, t-shirt and shorts...). I am gainfully employed and would have been less of a hassle than your run of the mill customer. Anyways, the cars were marked up about 3-4k more on the lot than online, a lot of them had red salvage vehicle disclaimer stickers on the windshield, including the bmw I had my heart set on. (The title showed clean on the website). I walked around the lot, and then back to my car, without anyone approaching me, aside from sideways looks. The good thing is that my stepdad had come here to check out a Camry and was awaiting the check from the credit union, and after my experience he will buy a car elsewhere, so up yours karsplus! read more

I would like everyone to know this place is very shady and beware of this dealership I purchased a car on Nov 2015, service was great but I was never told the tags on the car were not current even though when I got the car it had 2016 tags on the plates. I did not find this out until I received my registration and tags for 2016. I immediately contacted DMV because there must be some mistake I already have 2016 tags on the vehicle thats when I was told the tags were not current and its a violation to drive a vehicle with expired tags but I told them the plates have 2016 tags, I told to bring the plates of the vehicle and filed a complaint against the dealership for deceptive practices read more

This place was nice and friendly enough in the beginning, but then after we purchased the vehicle which was $3000 more than the advertised price, we discovered that it needed an alignment. We brought the car back to get the alignment and it took all day long for them to realize that they needed to order a part which was broken. They agreed to fix it at no extra charge, but we were moving 2 hours away and had to wait several days for the part to be shipped. On the day of the appointment, after driving 2 hours to the shop they said it would take only a couple of hours, which ended up being several hours and when we got our car back the alignment was way off worse than when we brought it in. Because of our busy days and weeks, we cannot keep driving 2 hours to their shop and 2 hours back home just to get the car fixed and hope that they actually do the job right. So we asked if they can just credit us $100 to get the alignment done at a place closer to us. They have yet to respond. This is very frustrating. read more

BEWARE buying a car from this dealership or any dealership affiliated with the Karplus name. You will regret it They sold me a car and one month later it was reposed because it still had a lien from the previous owner. I did not get the car back for 5 days and when I did it had a dead battery. All I got was sorry no compensation or nothing.Terrible experience. read more

Stopped by to look at some vans to add to our fleet. Their prices were $2000 - $4000 above retail Blue Book Value. When we asked about what kind of deal they could make, they asked if we would pay cash or finance and if we were ready to deal today. We told them cash and they pretty much said that there would be no discount and if we thought the price was too high then we should look elsewhere and not waste their time. With that, the salesman just walked away. Seems like this place only cares about selling a car if they can get someone who needs financing and charge them super high fees and interest rates. The quality of the vans was mediocre at best. read more

Wow what a place! I think the criteria to get hired here is you must have a RECORD and my RECORD I mean a prison sentence. You walk in and one guy has a tattoo on his head another has the same all over his neck and arms....what a place. I realize this isn't Galpin or another big name dealer, but they have nice cars on the lot. What they don't tell you and really try to hide the car fax until the last minute is that the majority of the cars have been hit/have damage to them. They are cheaper than other dealers, but they are sooooo unprofessional that it is a wonder who would purchase a vehicle here. read more

Im only giving 4 stars because I was unable to find a vehicle that worked for my budget and my taste. That is not to say that they didn't do their best to help me out. Ken was probably one of the nicest and most honest sales managers I've come across. Gus helped me out a lot out on the lot to find the right car for me. They definitely made a huge effort. The only reason I left without a vehicle is because Ken was honest about the potential issues with the car. After searching around the lot for other options, I just couldn't find a car I loved as much as my other choice. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! You will see a trend in the reviews of this place. This deserves a zero star!! Went to buy a car last week. They knew I was coming and the car wasn't even clean!! I can look past that and decided I wanted to buy it. So the night before I was going to get the car I started reading reviews. Wish I would have done that sooner. I decided to call them to get a final price on the vehicle before I drove all the way down. Sure enough they add $2100 to the price of the car for a gps system that they will not take out. You have no control over this system and whoever does has access to your vehicles location at all times!! So the car went from $37,992 to $44,136.36. To top it off when I confronted them about this the guy totally lied and said that all used cars get this system put on and he started calling me sweetheart and other very inappropriate words. Thankfully I found a way better car for less. Lesson learned. Always read reviews and stay away from this place. You will get scammed!! read more

Bought my first car here I love the car they gave me a great deal as well for a 20 years old and my first car with no co signers it's a great deal low monthly payments and low interest rate as well they couldn't have done better. Only thing I didn't like was that the guy checking my credit score was extremely rude to the salesman he was yelling at him telling him to hurry up and obviously I had to hurry up to. The finance guy or the person who had me sign the contract (Allan) didn't explain anything at all not helpful at all and of course I had questions I needed to be well informed it's my first car I didn't know anything and still left clueless was rushed through the whole process. I understand I went like 40 minutes before they closed but seriously I'm getting the dam car no need for bad customer service. Car had less than a quarter of a tank was dirty inside literally found weed in there. And they said they "clean it". Place was dirty too popcorn all over the place so overall I was lookin for a better experience as a first time buyer. Only good thing was the price and the salesman. read more

I'm at Karplus right now. I just purchased my third car from them, waiting for my wife to come see what I got her. I'm not sure why on reviewer called them "shady", I respect the manager Ken, he's a good man. He did me right for the third time. I first bought a van for my company, love it! Never had one problem, it just keeps on giving : ) Then I came and bought my wife a sweet Audi A-3. We like the car allot, again, zero problems with it. Today, I'm buying a sick ass Benz C-300. This car only has 20k miles on it, it looks perfect, like brand new. She's gonna trip when she gets here to drive this baby home. I guess I'll be happy when I get home, right?...you know what I'm talking about! My wife is sick hot too, so thumbs up for me ; ) These guys are straight up cool, and honest. To the person that called them shady, Hey, don't react to salesmen trying to sell you a car! You need a car, right? That's why you went in Einstein, their doing their job...trying to help you get happy, get what you need, or what makes you happier to wake up each day. Go easy, the salesmen need to make a living, right? They have bills like all of us. Put yourself in their place, they are humans doing their job. I don't think that's shady, that's life. So listen up peeps, this is a good company. It's run by a true gentleman, a guy that's beyond reproach. When you meet Ken, you will be singing his praises. He's creative too, hey don't worry you can probably get a great car, even if you didn't pay your cable for three months. You shouldn't be watching television anyway with that dumb ass car you drive! Just kidding, but for real, go get a great car from these guys, you'll be happy. This is my third great experience with this top notch company, see you there! read more

When telling my friends and family that I wanted to buy my first car, I was always told to beware of the salesmen who may take advantage of me and rip me off because I'm so young. But thankfully I did not have that experience here. I went in with my dad, saw a car I liked, with a price I wasn't to crazy with, but Joel, our salesman, and Orlando the sales manager, got it down to a price I was more comfortable with and could afford. When I got to Allen Khasdae the finance manager, he was very patient and understanding to the fact that I was a first time buyer. Later on my mother came into the office with her guard up and asking many questions to understand EXACTLY what I was signing for. Allen patiently and kindly answered each question, waited for my mother or myself if we wanted to stop and read the fine print and everything. He gave me monthly payment (including GAP insurance and warranty) with a very affordable price. He even hooked me up with some floor mats for my new car. After I took my 2013 Toyota Corolla off the lot, I called my mom when I barely realized the next day that my car was at a quarter tank, and how I was kinda upset that I had to already fill up for a tank of gas that I didn't personally even use. She called my dad's friend Lon, another financial officer at the dealership, and they told me to come in and bring my gas receipt, and he was able to reimburse me in full. I recommend this place (especially to ask for Joel, Orlando, Lon, or Allen) if you want honest salesmen. read more

Around four months ago I purchased a 2007 Volvo C70 from this very location and it has just been a nightmare. I would never advise anyone to purchase a car here. I had seen this car listed online on car gurus for 7,500 at this dealership. When I arrived, the first red flag showed up. I was hesitant to go through with it because the price he was trying to sell me the car for was 4,000 dollars above what I had seen it listed on the website as. The total price he ran up initially came to 12,000. Of course, I told the salesman that the price he was trying to sell us the car for was outrageous and told him to check what Karplus' own website had the price of the car listed as. He ran in the back and pretended to check his computer and still insisted the price was 12,000. By this time, I had gone on my phone to the Karplus website to check once and for all what it was listed for. Just as I thought, it was listed for 7,500. I showed this to the salesman and he played completely dumb. He pretended to have no idea that he was overcharging 4,000 for a car. We were eventually able to talk him down to 9500. The extra 1500 included several unnecessary packages he insisted were mandatory such as theft protection for 1500 dollars. As if I don't already have insurance where as if my car is stolen it'll be insured. The car drove fine for a while. Despite a few persistent problems such as my right headlight repeatedly going out, the navigation system popping up out of nowhere, thermometer completely misreading temperatures, and constant screeching when the breaks were used, the car was running just fine. I had just had it serviced three weeks prior when the unbelievable happened. A light appeared on my dashboard that said my engine was overheating. So I pulled over to the nearest exit. As my car was pulling off the freeway to get to a safe place, I saw a puff of smoke come out of my hood. I quickly grabbed my belongings and got away from the car. Within minutes it was on fire. The police and fire department were called. By the time the fire fighters were able to extinguish it, there was nothing left. The wheels had melted onto the pavement and the interior was unrecognizable. Looking back, I feel robbed by that dealership and quite frankly lucky to be alive because I was sold a car that essentially turned out to be a bomb. I have already received money from insurance so I am not worried. But wow this place needs to step its game up. I could have died. read more

Do not buy from these guys!!! They are nothing but swindlers who will not explain to you the proper terms of Your loan. The only thing that they want is your money and if you are planning on a trade, you are screwed. They will take your car and money, then tell you that this will reflect on your total price; meaning that the total amount to be financed will be smaller since they're giving you some money towards it. And when you look at the total balance of your loan, the car, and the money you put in, doesn't make any difference; nor it reflects in a positive way on your APR percentage nor your monthly payments. They tell you that the cause of your high monthly payments is due to a shorter contract; which is not true. Then they will make you buy this warranty in case your car breaks down; which they already know will happen, because they do not make sure that the car that they're selling you is on top condition. When your car finally brakes, they send you to their mechanic (of course) Sheldon Auto parts, which are nothing but a bunch of unprofessional jerks. They will park your car so close to the other cars that your car will get scratched, then will make you feel like you are crazy. They will leave your car's windows down, so when you finally after a month get your car back, is all dirty, never mind all of the grease prints. Their finance company associates, On Time Financing, are also a bunch of unprofessionals that will treat you very disrespectfully and order you around when you call them for help. They will talk you down, yelling and treating you like if you were dumb, then click on you; huge lack of interpersonal skills and costumer service. This Financing company doesn't even let you make payments over the phone or the internet. My car shopping experience with this guys has been a royal nightmare. Please check out other car dealerships before making the mistake that I've made! And please check very meticulously your contract before signing it!!! read more
