This place is shady but so are many dealers right? Many cars are over priced the only reason I went there was for a car I saw online and the first time I went they could not locate it If it was not for a saleman AJ I would not have gone back He's great and did his best to earn my business if you go look at cars here don't deal with anyone else read more

Im giving them a 3-star rating because the buying experience was ok but since then I have had a few issues that have to be dealt with. Customer service is the MOST IMPORTANT thing in ANY business so lets see how they handle themselves AFTER they make the sale and have their money....Afterall, we are STILL your customers!!! read more

Yes, believe all the other reviews, these guys are scam artists. I'm two hours away in Ventura and found the car I've been looking for online and called them up. I spoke with someone named Yoshi on the phone. He appeared nice and I didn't want to waste time driving out there so I did their credit check online and filled out the forms. Yoshi called me back and told me I'm approved and everything looks good. All I need to do is come by, test drive the car, and fill out some paper work. I drove two hours, they didn't have the car (they told me that car didn't exist here after I spoke with Yoshi and he said he could see the car from his desk). Eventually I found another car that was even cheaper than the one I was looking at and then spoke with a salesman named Juan. We sat down and grabbed my credit report and all other info. He was very rude and told me I had to put down $4,000 (the car was $10k). When I spoke with Yoshi, he had told me I should be fine with $700. I tried talking to Juan to see if there's any other options but he could care less. He got up tossed my license on the table and walked away. He didn't care to apologize for the inconvenience or anything like that. Just walked away and disappeared. I waited for 10 minutes until I saw him just standing around looking at me as if he was waiting for me to leave. Extremely rude. I saw the bad reviews but didn't believe it because I wanted that car. Bad experience. Only a couple people seemed nice there. Don't trust this place. I drove two hours just to get my time wasted and people not caring or knowing what customer service is. I felt scammed. read more

I was in here Saturday evening, by the time we finished haggling over the price and shook in it, then did all the paperwork, they stayed late for me to finish it all. Then they helped me load my bike into the bed of my new truck. Unfortunately I came back Monday to return the truck, but the reason i am giving them a high review is how amazing they have been in working with me Saturday to find a middle price, coming down thousands of dollars for me, and especially today returning the truck and cancelling the contract. I said I wanted to return it, and they said ok. No problems or arguing, they promptly brought out the paperwork and started filling it out. Incredible painless return. read more

Great choices in the car selections they have, hmmm after reading the reviews I was kinda skeptical, but then a few of my friends had gone there and actually referred me to go there. I purchased my 2009 Honda Accord there, they also let me take the car to my own mechanic and it turned out to be a great deal, my opinion is there is a chance you have to take when purchasing vehicles that had been Repo'ed, and/or purchased at an auction, 9 out of 10 you get a great vehicle, if you want a great car with no problems get a BRAND NEW one then.... Funny how people have the worst judgement, and turn around and blame the next person...... Whats done is done people, so like I said I GOT A GREAT DEAL ON MY CAR!!!! Keep up the good work KARPLUS WAREHOUSE!!! read more

I purchased my car from Karplus Warehouse in October of 2013. My experience from the beginning to the end of the transaction here at Karplus Warehouse could not have been more wonderful nor any less stress-free. I know people who go to car dealerships and spend the majority of their day (and night) in search of their dream car and walk out the door disappointed. Not so in my case, I had the keys to my car and was on my way home in less than 3 hours. To be truthful, I must say that I did not have high expectations after reading the reviews before I went, however, I understand that not everyone has the same experience and that review sites like this are mostly used to highlight the negative and not the positive situations. That being said, I went to the car dealership with low expectations, but with an open mind. I left a happy customer who has been referring others to the dealership since then. Yes, I am a fan and when I decide to upgrade my car, I will be going back here. Tips: Having my financing approval before hand helped me a great deal. I knew the type of car I wanted and I knew what I could afford. I didn't go in with unrealistic expectations. I was open to seeing the process from beginning to end for myself. Lastly, I was courteous and respectful and I was treated with courtesy and respect. read more

If I could rate less then a 1 I would. This car company is one of the worst I've seen by far. First off the sales reps and finance team have huge attitude and are horrible at talking with people. They told me a down payment as well as a monthly payment to leave with a car that day. They expressed that I could put 1/2 down now and 1/2 in a week and have 45 days to make my first months payment. I came back 2 days later with 1/2 of the down payment and was told that it's an extra 1k for the down payment and my monthly went up about 60$. So I asked them what had happened and they said that this is what the deal is either take it or leave it. I then asked what would've happened if I had the car and the numbers had changed while the car was mine. They told me they would've called and asked me to return the car if I couldn't come up with everything. This company is Honestly one of the worst. Like who does this. read more

NEVER BUY A CAR HERE! These guys are HORRIBLE! If a deal is too good to be true it probably is especially if it's a deal at Karplus! I was in the market for a Ford Escape a few months back and they had an amazing deal on the 2009 Ltd which is exactly what I wanted so I called to make sure the listing was accurate and the car was still available, they said it was and I let them know I'd be coming by later that afternoon. Before I left my house I called again and they told me the car was still there and to come by so I drove up to Pacoima. Spent 20 minutes searching the lot only to find it wasn't there so my salesman went inside to make some calls (took another 20 minutes) and told me it was at their other lot and to follow him over there. We followed him across town and he went inside to chat while we searched the lot... No car in sight. Another 15 minutes later he comes out and says "the car's not here, the owner is driving it, why don't I show you some of the other Ford Escapes that we have on the lot." Absolutely ridiculous. They kept running the ad for that car for months after that, whether it ever existed or not I don't know but these guys are jerks. Save yourselves the time and effort. read more

first i wrote a great review based on the way the deal was going after the deal was done going over the contract this placed scammed me good ....off top they acted like they were gonna honor the online price which was around 3k under the sticker price after getting the deal dome i noticed they added all these extra charges to add back up to the 3k difference without talking to me about the charges they were adding they added a 1500$ navigation fee that i never approved off than added 2 more different charges for another couple hundred than they had the nerve to tell me "its written on the walls about the navigation"not one sign says THEY ARE TAKING 1500 OUT YOUR DOWN PAYMENT FOR A NAVIGATION SERVICE this place was a bunch of b.s than when i called them out on it and demanded a refund for adding charges to the contract without telling me they said there was nothing they can do cuz the car was already purchased but in fact they gave us the car without even getting us financed first than a week or so later they call us with the deal when we already told them we wanted a refund the whole deal was a mistake and ill never recommend or purchase from this place again i gave them one star for being SMOOTH TALKERS theyll finesse you be careful!! #crooks read more

This place is a joke. They lie to you just to get you there, then change the price. Dishonest! They need to learn proper etiquette.

I had to down load this app just to leave this review. ****TRUST ME when I say DO NOT go to this dealership. **** My husband and I are looking for an f250. He saw an 03 access cab there. We asked the price they said 10900 give or take a few bucks. I offered 7k otd. The sales manager laughed. Said they would be taking a loss. Half the price of the vehicle. ( Kelly blue book is about 6k I looked it up) besides that the vehicle has a lemon title on it. Like... Really?? I'm doing you guys a favor. He said it only had a warranty (manufacturer) for about a year. The vehicles car fax shows it was stolen before so who knows what happened to it, brought back to the dealership 3 times the last was on a lease not even 2 weeks after someone took it. THEN he says he can give me 1000 off the LISTED price(supposedly 10900). I say no thanks. Upon further investigation my significant other finds the vehicle on their website and behold! $8480. I text them again saying it's still on the table (my 7k otd) and I didn't appreciate them trying to up me on the price. The poor sales guy (because he's just the middle man) said whatever the price given yesterday was the final price. Well then. . . I'm really glad I'm dodging a bullet with this one because my significant other is the one who wanted it and I'm over here like sketchy much?... My significant other is just an innocent customer who almost got screwed on a price. Don't be that customer. read more

I've never felt the need to leave a review for anything, but I feel the need because of my experience. It started by them advertising a truck way underpriced that I fell in love with. I checked the car fax and everything looked good. I called and asked if the truck was available. They said yes and asked when I would be able to come in and see it. I explained to them that I live 4 hours away and I would be going in the next day. Knowing the process would take long, I booked a hotel to stay in LA for the weekend. They called me later that day and said the truck had sold but they had another one on the lot that was similar. He said the price was 25,000. I told him that is over my budget since I was only approved for 26,500 and fees would push it over. He said "oh that's no problem, come right in and we will make it work." Well even though the deal was not as good, I went anyway on that promise that I would leave with that truck without going over my limit. When I showed up, I liked the truck, but seen the sticker price said about 28,000. I told the sales guy that I had loved the other truck that gad sold and he stated "oh the one from a while back". So obviously the truck had sold a while back and they told me they had sold it the day prior. When we sat down to do the paperwork, the manager said the best thing he could do is 29,500 out the door. I told them that I had spoken to his employee and he said he would make my limit of 26,500 work. He stated that he was going to lose money so he couldn't do it. Although I do understand that he can't lose money, I was not demanding that price, I only went because I was promised that they would make it work. And 29,500 is nowhere near 26,500. So they are ok with me losing money on gas, time = 8 hours of driving, and a hotel. This could have been avoided by them not promising to make my limit work. By the way the first truck they had "Sold Yesterday" the same one from "a while back," Is still posted on their website and has been there for 126 days. read more

I am soooo happy I was referred to come here by my friend who also bought her car from here!! I had been searching for a car for over two months and I just couldn't find a car with a good price that would fit my budget. Its a upscale car and the people and dealers that I found that had it didn't care to help me, they just want to sell, sell and sell. I was just going to give up on just finding the perfect car I wanted as I was played with by all the car dealers wasting my time and giving me the run around. The feeling I got from Karplus is that they care about their clients and they will work with a person's budget and credit. Im very happy with my car and the deal they got me here, I would highly recommend Karplus to anyone who is looking for a good deal. read more

Bought my dark blue 2006 Infinity M35 from this place in August of 2014 and it was great. Although the car had 84k miles it still worked wonderfully and looked brand new. All the sales people were wonderful and guaranteed me that if anything went wrong, I could depend on them. Would definitely recommend this dealer if you're looking for a bargain and a great car. Sam was the gentlemen who helped me with all my paperwork and my understanding of how things would work when it came to the warranty. I would recommend asking for him if purchasing a vehicle. read more

About 6 years ago, I visited Karplus to possibly purchase a used Mercedes R350 but the dealership would not budge to our asking price. I do not know if this is common practice but the salesman asked for our driver's license before looking at cars or talking about price. Realizing we left our driver license at Karplus after we left, my wife and I immediately turned around and headed back to the dealership. We were barely gone 20 minutes. Karplus could not 'find' our Drivers licenses, even though they had dozens of licenses posted on their wall. We had to spend $25 each for replacement and time off from work to replace our licenses. Karplus disgusts me!!! read more

During the process of selling my old car and looking for a new car I came here. The minute I walked onto the lot it was as if I was a fresh piece of meat for the lions den. I knew what exactly I wanted and needed to work for my everyday life. I don't remember the name of the man I dealt with but immediately I felt like he was just trying to rush me into something I could not afford nor wanted. I asked him what was around $3,000 to $6,000 and at that time he said nothing currently. At that point I really wanted to try and go to another lot since this was already not something that was going to work with my budget. He then tried to fulfill my request on the type of car I said I needed, and had me follow. We ended up at a subaru outback and a vw tourag, the sticker price on both cars were worth more than what my honda cr-v was bought for from the dealership. He asked if I wanted to test drive and I did agree since this was towards what I was looking for in my next car. First up was the subaru, the minute I got in the car it had lights on the dash, one of which was a caution light and the other a brake light. I made mental note of the tire tread and mentioned to him that the tread was pretty warn down to needing new tires shortly, he assured me we could work out a deal. I then asked about the lights and his demeanor changed, he told me they just got the car from an auction and the service center could check it out for me. We continued around the block when I mention to him the car does not feel right, it was shaking and the engine sounded like something wasn't right, so we brought the car back and that's when we tried the vw. I did my once over on the car and everything was seemingly normal until we went around the block, the car had no pick up, and the transmission was slipping something I was familiar with when I had my honda. He then told me that I shouldn't think just every car is going to be as big as a problem as my honda was and I was fed up. We got back and he tried to get me to look at more cars as well as see if we could make a deal, I then had to stop him and remind him what I had said prior that I was going to go look at another car along with my mechanic and had to go on my way. He kind of huffed and puffed while trying to get me to return, he had asked if he could get my number in case there was anything in stock that fit my needs. This to me just convinced me of the whole sleeze ball sales person. Finally I was able to walk off the lot and breathe a sigh of relief that I knew I would no longer come to this lot again with my experience and knowledge. I guarantee the cars they buy from auction they get them dirt cheap and throw a dealership sticker price on them. Never again will I walk on their lot. read more

I started a yelp account to let people know to stay the F away from this place. All the employees here are shady snakes that lie to you. I found the car online while browsing an ended up on their website inventory. When I called to see if the car I liked was available, they said yes. I told the guy Juan my budget and he said that he could deffinatley get it to me for that price or cheaper. Keep in mind I was purchasing the car cash. I told Juan I was going to come down to get it because I live 90 miles away, he said he would be waiting for me. When I got there they looked for him and said "he had an emergency and had to go" so they introduced me to another guy Mario who I couldn't understand because he didnt speak English very well at all. When I told him what Juan had quoted me he was very surprised to hear that needless to say I ended up being charged a whole lot more. After an hour of awkward back and forth negotiating we found a price close to what I was first quoted but still higher. After all the paper work I drive it off the lot and literally as I pulled out of the dealership drive way the check engine light turned on and as I was half way home the car started to shake from the engine. I could feel the pistons misfiring, I felt like it wasnt even going to get me back home. The next morning I took it to my trust worthy mechanic to do a diagnostic and he said that four out of the eight of the pistons were misfiring and it would cost about 4,000 to get the car running just up to par again. That to me is so shady, to sell a car to someone that doesn't run well. I called the dealership and got the run around all day long, talking to so many different people trying to speak with a manager. They acted like I was lying to them or something. They said I had 72 hours to return it no questions asked, Luckily the car didnt break down when i took it back the next day. At first they tried to tell me that it just needed a tune up, and that it was going to take all day long to get me a company check so I might want to consider just trading my car for another one there and pay the difference. I said "no ill wait right here and take my full refund" I felt like I was going to get jumped by some thugs on my way out go back home. they just have a sketchy vibe to them. And they run you around and around talking to so many different people so no one knows whats going on. I seriously worked with 8 different people to buy this that car that was about to breakdown. Just go somewhere else. Buying a used car is never easy, but this hell hole makes it even harder and dangerous! read more

The car need a tune up badly and so they told me to go to there auto shop I went and the people were rude unprofessional and how me waiting for 3 hours? They also wanted me to come another time to finish minor things that someone could fix in a few minutes. They were just lazy. Buyer beware. This place is a scam. They are the reason people hate buying cars and the reason places like CarMax and Carvana exist. I wish I had read the reviews before driving 1.5 hrs with my family to this shithole. I came by to look at an EV which was listed online for a good price. Despite having a appointment, the car wasn't ready, and the sales manager handed me the key said to me "it's somewhere over there" and pointed me to one corner of the lot. During the test drive the car had a "check oil" warning and the 12v battery light was on. This is a low mileage car and likely just needs a routine checkup. These are things you would expect a legit dealer to get in place before trying to sell a car. Despite the red flags nothing yet was a deal breaker until the pricing discussion. They had a great deal listed online and then tacked on a $2200 theft protection system that nobody needs or wants and they won't remove. The salesman couldn't clearly explain why the system was in the car and, after further questioning, admitted the dealership installs it in all their cars. The sales manager tries to explain to me that I should have known about this because it's on their website. Well it's buried in the fine print in such a way that they obviously don't want you to know about it. For a dealer to install after market equipment on a car and to not disclose it in the price is SHADY and DISHONEST. I came there cash-in-hand ready to pay for a car I saw online but left disappointed in the shady business and sleazy sales tactics. Based on the other customers they seem to prey on immigrants and people with poor credit. Don't let this happen to you or your family. Stay Away. read more

OK so the first car we got from karrplus was a mini cooper. Now as were taking a test drive I notice a coolant smell, AC doesnt work, and a screeching coming from the brakes. The guy on the lot in the backseat reassures me that the AC will be refilled by them and that he doesn't smell a coolant smell and that the brakes are just screeching cause of how clean they keep the car and everything. Did they refill the AC? No and when I checked the radiator to see what that coolant smell was i noticed that the entire coolant resevouir, radiator, etc was filled with water and no coolant. Which is awesome because I forgot the mini was a steam engine and has a rust free thermostat that never rusts! Not... And get this- the first night I take it home I see this dim light coming from my instrument cluster and after I look closer the indicator light for the BRAKES was blacked out with magic marker sharpie. Can you believe these guys. Of course Ken denied that this was done by the in house shop but even if it was not done by them it was noticed by them when doing a safety inspection check? Your lot does do those right? Cause when I took the car to a mini cooper dealership they found 4 unsafe things that indicate this car should have never been sold. Eventually I had to trade in the mini Cooper because after the battery overheated and almost started a fire in the car, I had to replace the ECU, brake pads, flush and refill the radiator, change the thermostat, refill the AC, one of the spark plugs I changed out wasn't even in the engine air bag deployment light came on and the indicator for brakes never turned off so I understand now why they had to sharpie it and eventually the master cylinder went out on the car and I had no clutch. Its OK though cause just for a tad bit more I got a Dodge charger and have replaced every bit of the suspension repairs costing over just about $4000 on top of what we've been paying for the car and the warranty which only covers defective parts and not parts that had been worn over time. Oh yeah and if you do find a way to get it covered by the warranty you still have to pay a $100 deductible on top of it for every aspect and component you want fixed. In the end I'd highly recommend Karrplus to anybody that likes paying money for a good quality car.... ALOT.... Of money read more

Wow, who's writing reviews here that support this chop shop? Go look at the reviews on cars.com, because Yelp is pure fiction. This place is horrible, a classic high-pressure churn 'em and burn 'em operation. I came there to see a 2016 Maserati Ghibli. After inspecting the car on the outside, I asked the salesperson to get the keys. I ran it for a bit, then said, "I'd like to take it out." His immediate response was, "We have to run a credit check." No request to see a driver's license, no questions, he went straight to the old "credit check" chestnut. When I told him I was going to pay cash, his response was, "Are you ready to move on this car right now?" When I said I was still in the looking phase, he said, "I'm not going to put any miles on the car unless I have a firm committment." Don't waste your time here, damaged cars, high-pressure tactics. And, the car was damaged, had dents, missing trim, and when I asked if he knew the history, he replied, "It's not a salvage". What a waste of time there. Stay away! read more

Good selection, I got a very fair deal on a car in great condition. They had bought it at auction. I was able to bring it to a mechanic to check it out prior to purchasing. I highly recommend this dealership. My car was totaled and I unexpectedly had to get a car quickly. I wanted luxury on a budget. I went to dealerships from Brea to Simi Valley and met lots of salesman who didn't want to be bothered with my questions and who didn't seem to want to earn my business. Karplus was my last stop because I finally found quality vehicles and great customer service. I worked with David and was very impressed! He knew their inventory like the back of his hand. He answered any and all questions and was happy to help me test drive whatever I wanted. It started raining when I arrived, and David met me with an umbrella and walked me to the door of every car I wanted to checkout. Im not a paid yelper or actor..i am a hard working dude with 1.5 jobs and a full time student with reasonable credit. Me and my wife are first time car buyers/financee's, and we had been in search of a certain Lexus. We did thorough research and comparisons ALL WEEK. DO YOUR RESEARCH! !! And know the value of your car of interest. If you just peruse a car lot with uncertainty and doubts your gonna fall victim to a potential lemon. But i digress. We found the lexus of our dreams at karplus, for a VERY GOOD price. There are many stereo types about used car salesman and people often think they are con men, nothing could be further from the truth at karplus. My wife corosponded with alex via text about our lexus of interest, he answered all her questions about the car via text. We met with him the very next day, and he had the lexus ready with key in hand when we arrived. He was extremely personable and friendly, and gave us a good vibe, not pushy or aggressive at ALL. Me and my wife both took a test drive with the top down (convertible ) and were sold on the car by the time we circled the block. We had a screenshot of the online price of the car on our phone and showed it to alex because we noticed the sticker on the car was 3000$ higher than online price, he honored our online price with no problem. We then dealt with Lon in the pre approval/credit department. He ran both me/wife credit, keep in mind we have never purchased a big ticket item before and or a Car. We got a somewhat high apr of 12%.. :( but Lon worked with us and gave us a fair monthly payment. BUT THE REAL magic was with Allen K in finance. He liked me and my wife and saw we were both hard working people with decent enough credit. He got our apr to 8% and gave us an extended warranty for 2 years at a great price. I HIGHLY recommend extended warranty because we can now take our lexus to any lexus dealership and get ANY/ALL work repairs done for 75$....awesome! !!! There is a lot of paperwork to fill out, but me and my wife felt extremely satisfied with our purchase, the lexus we got with the low mileage went for double what we paid for at other locations. We got a great deal, and are very happy... karplus also provides Carfax on every vehicle which is very good and thorough. Highly recommended place.. read more

I even tried a dealership that had one with a little higher mileage than I wanted (see my review) only to be treated like crap. I searched auto trader and increased my distance and found Kar Plus had the Tahoe . I emailed them to verify stock, and promptly received a call from David. We talked and came to a conclusion that we would be likely to come close to the out the door price I proposed. I bought a plane ticket and flew out the next day. David kept in constant communication and was awesome, even made sure my flight was ok and if he needed to come pick me up at airport. When I arrived I met David and he was even nicer in person. After the test drive I met Lon (sales manager) and Orlando (finance). After figuring out fees and taxes and a few back and forth price negotiations we landed on a very solid price. Lon was fair and pleasant to negotiate with. Orlando was a wealth of information, and super patient with all my questions. Night and day difference from the other dealership. I would not hesitate spending the money on another plane ticket if I ever need to purchase another vehicle, as the price I paid was well worth the flight and drive back to AZ. Thank you gentleman!!! read more

Wow! These negative reviews date back to how long?! These people aren't making this stuff up, listen like I should have! Despite reading all the negative comments I still took the hour and a half trip to go there because they were selling the car of my dreams, 2006 Saab convertible in Pearl White! Car was beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside. I took it to a mechanic in Irvine that specializes in volvo & Saab. I paid for a diagnostic inspection, and got back a 4 page list of what was wrong with the car, totaling over $8k in repairs!!! One of the things needed was a new transmission! Within 4 days I returned the car and got out of the contract but it wasn't easy. And I had to pay penalties for cancellation 2! What bullshit! I don't know how this place stays in business but keep in mind if u do buy and get stuck with a piece of shit there are lemon lawyers. One was very eager 2 take my case. read more
