I read all the reviews and was impressed with how many dogs he had trained. Different breeds and ages. I texted him and he provided me all the information and we confirmed a date. I saw a promotional price for Temple City, but since I am at another city, it is a different price. I did text him a day before our appointment to remind him just in case, per our agreement. My puppy is getting the "DOG OBEDIENCE TRAINING: Commands and Problem Behaviors, pulling on leash, dumpster diving, counter surfing, mild barking, potty training, jumping, digging, chewing, nipping, not listening. NOT FOR DOGS WITH AGGRESSION or FEAR!" A total of 5 sessions, once a week, 55 minutes per sessions. This training is done at my place and indoor. By the end of his training, he learned 18 commands in 5 weeks! Please note that it also depends on your effort and if you're training your dog daily with what was taught. Mike is great with our puppy! Turns out he owns the same breed as me. From my perspective, he trained my husband, me and my puppy altogether. If you're doing something wrong, he would tell you. He is patient, always on time, and so kind to my puppy. I especially love the graduation ceremony. I was holding in my tears. Overall, we are very happy with Mike and the result.

We are very happy with Michael's approach to training. He is effective and nurturing, but firm and very patient. We prefer his style of training as it is supportive and encouraging. When discipline is needed, we have firm commands that Michael taught us. He also provides tips for helpful products like corrector spray and developmental and age appropriate toys. His "graduation" ceremonies are so fun! We had a standing weekly appointment, but Michael was flexible when things came up and responds to any calls/texts in a timely manner. We plan to return for advanced training to continue our puppy's learning.

A…read moredear friend - whose name I'll withhold here - was diagnosed with glioblastoma tumors and was understandably struggling with the idea of giving up her sweet, three-year-old male dog. He'd never had formal training, but he's overflowing with love. At 88 pounds, he would have been incredibly difficult to place in a foster situation or new home. Lindy stepped in and took on finding a foster and the volunteer-training of this dog simply out of the goodness of her big heart. Not only did Lindy find a loving placement for our friend's pup who lets our friend visit him when she wants, she also offered free training to the new dog parent and took on additional responsibilities that are practically unheard of these days, especially from businesses focused almost solely on the bottom line. Lindy and her staff showed a level of genuine generosity and care that feels rare. I want to nominate " I Dig My Dog' for a Mayor's Day - so many hours quietly given in the service of our wonderful friend!

She went 3 days a week. You can pick how many days a week, and which days your puppy attends. You drop your puppy off between 8-9am and pickup between 4-5pm. This gave us free days to deal with the ramifications of the Eaton Fire. They exposed her to all kinds of sounds (fireworks, appliances, birds, etc.) and worked with her on loose leash walking, coming & staying, and being crated. The crating really worked! We thought we wouldn't be able to handle her crying, but after being in puppy pre-school she goes in quietly, hangs out and naps. We also as owners, learned the importance of sleep for a puppy! They sleep a LOT, and are much better pups when they are rested. We'd love the option of a few 1 on 1 classes with a trainer, since we have a lot to learn also!

We had tried what felt like everything and his separation anxiety was so bad that it got to the point that my partner and I basically gave up our social lives, had to coordinate with one another one of us would be going to the market or if it would be a trip where we both can go but someone sits in the car with our dog. We met the team at K9 Logic Dog Training and they assessed our dog and determined what kind of training program would be best for him to address his separation anxiety and the other skills we wanted to work on. Within a week we noticed progress. We finally were able to leave the house for an hour and go to the market together. Week by week the time has gradually gotten longer where we have been able to leave him alone for longer periods of time to reclaim our social life back. I was skeptical at first, but after that first week I became a believer. We are so happy with the results that for the purpose of just giving him structure and routine we signed him up for more classes and he LOVES being at school. We've also participated in the weekend group training sessions and they are so helpful to not only give our dog routine, but it's a great way to reinforce structure and keep him sharp with everything he learned at school. Signing up for training with K9 Logic Dog Training was the best decision we could made for our dog to set him up for success.

Comet spent one full day a week at the facility, and we worked on reinforcing everything at home in between sessions. We worked with Shea, who was amazing, knowledgeable, supportive, and great at explaining how to handle Comet's reactivity. The 30-minute sessions at pickup were especially helpful and really built our confidence. The pricing felt very reasonable for the value, and we also love the community they've created. Comet has made major progress, and we're excited to keep building on everything she's learned!

The staff is always very helpful and often knowledgable, should you need advice for your putty-tat or woof-woof. This particular store got me hooked on the franchise back when I brought home a Vizsla. They offered me sound pet food advice, dog training classes, mobile vaccine clinics, and just about everything I've ever needed for my four-legged children.

I ordered two Duck Meat Vital Essentials and only one showed up. We leave for 2 weeks and I was counting on two orders to arrive. After adopting a 2 year old min pin mix from the humane society, I emailed Dave to set up a training session. I explained that she was already pretty good with walking on the leash, etc. but we wanted to definitely focus on some separation anxiety issues and just general command following. He showed up on time (a big plus in my book!) but did not acknowledge our dog at all when he came in. He said "she'll have to warm up to me." A little background - we'd had our pup for two weeks and she'd never barked. She just cuddled everyone who came over. The humane society had said they too had never heard her bark so we weren't even sure that she'd hadn't been de-barked previously. Well, Dave came upstairs, without acknowledging her, and with his big booming voice talking a mile a minute and the second he reached the top of the stairs, she barked. We should have listened to her. Dave immediately launched into telling us about training and giving us seemingly random information about how to train her to do this or that. He did not ask us about her background. He did not ask us what we wanted to accomplish, he just ran full steam ahead. It was a whirlwind but my Husband and I tried to keep up. He got out treats and commanded our dog to sit, which he did get her to do, but he did not tell us why or how he was getting her to react. Next, he said we should all go on a walk. He proceeded to ignore how she was walking on the leash and spent the whole 20 minute walk telling us stories about how he tamed giant aggressive dogs. Impressive, but that's not what we have nor what we were paying for. On the walk, he told us that we needed to get down to her eye level to show her our hand signals because she couldn't see if we did them high up. Okay, fair enough. However, back at home, he was getting her to sit some more and he said "you have to stand and give the hand signals, you're not always going to bend down for her." Literally contradicting what he had just told us on the walk. He never let us practice giving her commands so he could correct what we were doing wrong and he never seemed to take any interest in listening to us about our concerns. He also kept referring to her as a "he" and while we corrected him at least four times, he kept calling her a boy. I give him two stars and not one because my Husband and I do think he knows what he's talking about. However, he's probably much better with bigger, more aggressive dogs. When he left, my Husband and I looked at each other, exhausted from the high-energy that Dave puts out (he's loud and boisterous and constantly expelling anecdotes) and said "never again" at the same time. Dave wasn't for us and my suggestion would be to pay attention to your dog and your gut like we have. In the end, she knows all kinds of tricks now and is a great learner, but she needed a different approach.

However, I wished I knew the details on his work. Pros: ~Has shown results. My dog did, amazingly, behaved nicely and David was able to correct him if he wasn't. Wish there was more of that. ~He does let you practice with your dog and corrects you so you can do it when he's not around. ~Each session is at least 2 hours, he doesn't rush his work and take his time with the lesson. ~Uses his own well behaved dogs to train people's dogs. ~Has the energy to keep up with even the most hyper of dogs. ~Isn't afraid to get bit. ~My dog loves him (but that's probably not a big perk, my dog loves everyone, I have yet to see him NOT love someone instantly). Cons (with explanations): ~He uses prong collars. I understand my dog may bite him and thus the prong collar may curb his behavior. However, I am not comfortable with having to pinch my dog into behaving. David did say it doesn't hurt - he's placed it on his own leg and pulled as hard and he can and it doesn't hurt him. I did this at home to my own leg and it actually hurts me. I wouldn't want to think about how it hurts my dog. He's very adamant on the collar and I ended up having to purchase my own. Good thing my dog loves everyone cos he still loves me and David, even when he has to wear that darn collar. ~Talks a lot. Which is both good and bad. The explanations helped at first but he became very repetitive about them. He is also very passionate about some things and will rant on and on about them. He complained about how animal shelters give out dogs with behavioral issues because they don't care. I had to bite my tongue to not point out the animal shelter's purpose is population control and rehoming dogs, not perfecting dogs to adopt out. Seems to like bragging about his worst clients and seems proud of his bite scars. ~Communication skills leaves something to desire. Granted he has a older phone model but after a few weeks break (we had other things planned), he forgot who I was/my dog was when I texted him to confirm the next class. Maybe at least save your client's number and a brief description of their needs rather than having to ask 'who is this?'? ~Pricing varied. He quoted me a cheaper price for the next visits but since we skipped a few weeks, he must have forgotten and charged me the same price as the first time. But considering each lesson was more than 2 hours long, his hourly rates are still really cheap, I'm just a little annoyed he didn't keep his word. ~No follow ups? He didn't discuss a next session and just left me in the middle of a lesson to practice on my own at home. I don't know why I decided to do a second session (probably cos I didn't want to find another trainer and pay all over again) but at least his lack of interest in ensuring my dog actually learnt something made me not go with a third session. I felt weird about posting a less than 5 star review since every other review is a glowing 5 star but seeing someone else review him less than stellar made me realize I'm not the only one out there. I agree, maybe he's not the right trainer for smaller/medium sized breeds. I'm surprised none of the other reviews mention this - the prong collars, the rants, the repetitive anecdotes. I wished I have saved my money and gone with a different trainer with different methods because he wasn't the right trainer for me. (My dog has no say in this since he loves all his trainers and even his vet.)

Initial impressions were that the staff took immense pride in their job and that the animals were very well cared for. The neat and organized board of visuals of the the up-for-adoption pets (dogs / cats / critters) was a unique touch I had never seen at another shelter. As the person in the relationship who has never owned a cat, I felt as though I was at a huge disadvantage in both advocating on behalf of our Aussie but also facilitating a compatible future partner in crime. Given that we were understandably unable to facilitate a meet and greet with both pets, I am very appreiciative of Christine, who helped us as she was both incredibly kind and patient with me, taking the time to provide thoughtful answers to all the questions and concerns I had. it was very reassuring being able to lean into Christine.

I cannot recommend ANYONE go here as long as these two people are here. Dr. Zieve needs to take "small mammals" off her list of creatures she treats. She knew absolutely nothing about hamsters and yet pretended she knew more than me and even argued with me about what I knew to be true. We came in after my Syrian hamster hadn't come out of his burrow for two days. We got an emergency appointment for $230 and they for some god forsaken reason assigned Dr. Zieve and her team to my case. My first immediate red flags that I wish I listened to were that after examining him she came in talking about the two spots on his sides telling me how she thought they were cancerous masses and wanted us to test them for a couple hundred dollars. WHEN IS CANCER EVER SYMMETRICAL?? I then proceeded to tell her that those were his SCENT GLANDS and she ARGUED with me saying that no his scent glands were in a different spot. IT TAKES ONE QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE TYPICAL SYRIAN HAMSTER SCENT GLANDS. After that she also said she was concerned that he had a heart problem because she heard clicking. He MAKES those sounds whenever he's handled because he is VOCALIZING his ANNOYANCE. I knew that the clicking she heard was probably just that so once again we did not pay $425 for an X-ray of his heart. The next thing she said was that he had discharge coming from his penis. I never saw any discharge there, but we thought maybe she looked in deeper and we agreed to put him on antibiotics and painkillers, as well as start syringe feeding him. They also gave him an IV for $75. He was struggling with his feedings and looked like he was in pain after. We brought him in for his check up and told them everything that was going on and they told us to increase his feeding. Even though I had told them it was hurting his stomach. They also still wanted to biopsy his "cancerous masses" we told them to please look at his penis again to check if the antibiotics were even doing anything and they didn't bother, they just gave us a new painkiller that wouldn't bother his stomach as much as they thought that was why he was having pain even though he was still showing these signs after we stopped giving him the painkiller. He continued to lose weight and we found a lump on his face after he had lost a significant amount of hair and thought we finally found the cause. We scheduled an appointment, this time with Dr. Kanfer as we found from their virus of a website (by the way their website acts as a virus, don't open it. we managed to get information about the doctors out of it through breaking down the code for it) that she was the only one specialized in rodents and abscesses. Dr. Kanfer could immediately tell what was going on. I felt like he was FINALLY looked at properly. But it was too late. Dr. Kanfer didn't want to do a bunch of unnecessary tests like Dr. Zieve did which I was grateful for. We did an ultrasound for $105 and they found a tumor but he started gasping for air and they put him on oxygen. He passed after an hour. After grieving him for awhile the nurse with the Spanish accent came in and left the door wide open. We asked for paw prints to be taken and she picked him up like he was some object and used way too much force on his paws, it looked like she was crushing him and the prints didn't even come out good. She then put him in his "coffin" (as the very nice receptionist called it) and shoved it to us like it was some package, saying "here's your box". Very cold and matter of factly. She lacked so much empathy and professionalism that is required of this job she should honestly be fired. Thank you Dr. Kanfer and the team that helped on the last day. F everyone else. The one star is for Dr. Kanfer who I would give five to.

I found Fine Feathered Friends on Facebook. Our 9 year old cockatiel was in need of a friend…read more Rather than purchase from a breeder or off a big-box store, my family wanted to adopt. We adopted our two other birds from local fosters and non-profits. After texting the number of the organization, I was immediately in touch with Marie, sweetest person-ever! We coordinated a date and time to come by and see the available cockatiels ready for adoption. I brought my partner and daughter along. As we got a review of the birds, Marie's hyacinth macaw Howard came over to greet us. Such a handsome, boy! We landed in adopting out a young male cockatiel (likely to be 1 year old due to the pearls still visible in his feathers) named "Patrick". He'd been saved from the elements, rescued after being dropped from the sky by a crow. Marie helped get him back in tip top shape, provided me the labs for his current health state (healthy!) and his DNA sexed paperwork. I appreciated the level of care and service Marie provided. She was professional, detailed, and super accommodating. I really loved her level of attention to understanding each and every bird's quirks, preferences, and history. Before we left, Marie provided a bit of food, snacks, and helped us pick a few perches and toys that "Patrick" would be happy with from his current cage. I was very grateful to be able to donate towards the foundation through Venmo. They also do cash or check, or Zelle. The feel the contribution/donation fee is minuscule compared to the value you give back to new member(s) of your flock. I understand only time will heal him from the trauma of his ordeal. We hope the love, care, and patience, our family can provide him with the right environment to help him heal at his own pace. If you're ever looking to adopt a bird in need, look no further than Fine Feathered Friends. Marie is wonderful and so dedicated, and it shows!

We arrived at 6pm when the event was supposed to start and person out front said they were still setting up and would be starting soon. They let us in the main area where the cats were a few minutes later but apparently they meant they were BARELY starting to set up. We had to awkwardly maneuver and wait around while they were getting tables and chairs set up and then we didn't get started til 645 which is pretty bad when your event is advertised as starting at 6. It was nice to walk around to see and pet the cats but that was not the primary point of the visit. What made this a pretty poor experience was the instructor and lack of organization. I've been to other paint events and you usually know what the inspo is ahead of time and the paint palette is provided with all the colors and right amounts you would need. They passed around the inspo pic and we had to wait while it was going around the room to take a picture and then we had to go up front to pick our own colors. The brushes were so overused and limp, floppy, and just in bad shape. The instructor said maybe 3 sentences to say she was going to outline the cat but there was no guidance whatsoever around how to shade, how to outline, how to do anything. It was not beginner friendly whatsoever and I think most of us were literally just winging it. The instructor also did not walk around the room or offer any assistance, feedback or help. I could tell some others were over painting and just got up to play with the cats. The concept is great but execution kind of failed. I'm sure they're not a trained paint instructor and maybe an employer or volunteer who likes to paint but that doesn't make for a good experience. We expected to have direction and instruction to paint. So essentially we paid $40 to be around cats and maybe $5-$10 worth of materials. Definitely would not recommend this event.

My Girlfriend and I signed up for the 7 week puppy kindergarten class for our 9 week old border collie corgi mix, Benton. Email communication was quick and easy and Jeffrey, the owner of Karma, gave us all the information we needed before and after a quick screening call and enrolled us into the appropriate class for where we were located. As a side note, with social distancing and the covid19 pandemic going on, Karma is offering virtual classes at the normal in-person time slot (Sundays). The benefit of these classes is that owners/puppies get to attend these classes to learn training techniques from the comfort of their own home, while STILL having the live, in person training/socialization classes once the social distancing restrictions are over. Currently, we've had one trial online class with Ryan, and my girlfriend and I loved it. I've had a dog prior for ~15 years, but have never raised a puppy before. Ryan had the zoom meeting up 10 minutes prior to the start time, and gave us his credentials at the start of the meeting and answered any initial questions we had. After our puppy classmate joined the meeting we started with our first lesson, sit and stay. Ryan gave us examples on how to train Benton, as well as helpful tips and the next steps to improve on (such as keeping your face close to your puppy and then gradually increasing the distance of your face and the treat). Throughout all this, he was attentive of both Benton and our classmate so he could give the best advice possible if he noticed either of us were struggling with something. The training lasted for about 30 minutes, or half of the allotted hour long lesson. The following 30 minutes was essentially us still practicing with our puppies and asking Ryan any questions that came up. Ryan mentioned that normally in the second half of the lesson, in live classes that would be when the puppies would get to socialize with each other. It's okay that we had all the free time after, though, as Benton was exhausted from all the treats/learning and passed out about 40 minutes into the lesson Overall our first online class was a great experience and my girlfriend and I truly believe we learned how to train Benton better. We immediately signed up for the 7 week puppy kindergarten after the trial class. Ryan was a great teacher, and we're looking forward to learning more from him so that Benton can grow up to be a well trained, happy, and healthy dog. Now we just have to wait for the live classes to resume so Benton can socialize with other puppies read more

My pup and I enrolled in the Puppy Kindergarten and Socialization class in Hermosa Beach. I enrolled him within four-month window which is important for the learning process. The instructors, Melissa and Kayleigh, were great. My pup was shy and a barker. The first thing he learned was to play quietly. Though he has a pack at home, he was not socialized. After the first class, he learned to play quietly and by the end of our eight-week course, he was socialized. Oh, and, he learned to play quietly through positive reinforcement which is the philosophy and practice of Karma Dog Training. He had so much fun playing with his classmates and receiving treats from the other parents. The pet parents were so easy going and we shared our treats with all of the pups. This is not an exaggeration. I highly recommend that puppy parents start with the Socialization class. Melissa and Kayleigh will guide pup and parent through every command. They provide parents with several alternatives for one command and/or sign. If parents have a question that is not mentioned in the syllabus, it is not a problem. Melissa and Kayleigh will be more than happy to discuss any issue in hopes of resolution. They explain the thought process of a dog and why repeating certain words or using certain tones will not benefit parent or pup. Know when to use treats and at what frequency is important to the process as well. Parents will gain a wealth of information that will benefit them and their pup. I have read some unfavorable comments on YELP. Parents, please remember that you must be dedicated and work with your pup on a daily basis several time a day. Repetition is essential and your pup will be happy as his/her vocabulary increases and he/she is rewarded for obeying the parents' command. Dogs want to please and they are eager to learn. They deserve to be happy. My pup and I have moved on to the basic obedience class which is held outdoors. It is fortunate that we enrolled in the socialization first. Today was our first day with a private trainer from Karma Training and it was super helpful. We have a 4 year old German Shepard/Rottweiler mix female, Chloe, and just adopted an 8 week old German Shepard/Rottweiler mix male, Cash. Since I've never raised two dogs together or raised a puppy I was very anxious about the whole process. From the moment I reached out to Karma, I was impressed with their prompt customer service and aid in all my questions. Lexi invited me to call her and speak with her about how I should introduce the puppy into the home without upsetting our older dog. I followed her tips and we had a smooth first two days on our own with both dogs. Then today Lexi came and helped with training the puppy to learn his name, enforcing good habits and rewarding our older doggy for being good with the puppy as well. She even helped me start training our older dog in leash walking, since she tends to be a puller. Her calm demeanor and expertise were helpful for me in navigating this somewhat tricky time. I've since scheduled two more private training sessions with her for further help with both dogs and I plan on signing up our little guy for puppy kindergarten since it sounds like it'll be a great place for him to learn socializing and training as well. From the first interaction I had with Karma Dog Training and, specifically, Ashleigh I knew I was on the right track to find a good match for Max. Ashleigh's positive attitude and tips right off the bat made me feel at home. Oh and Max love's it over there. The positive reinforcement method used had a instant impact on the way Max behaved. Ashleigh made sure to send plenty of photos and gave me daily updates on the goings on... including what training techniques were being taught that day. When I went to pick up Max, I knew he had a blast while learning good behavior. Ashleigh made sure to send a fully detailed email on how I could continue the training at home, including plenty of helpful links to additional great techniques. Our experience with Karma Dog Training was fantastic! The puppy class was really helpful and engaging for both humans and puppy (and, side note, one of the cutest things ever!)- we made a lot of progress as a result. We also used their private training services and were matched with the amazing Anastasia- she could not have been better! She was as warm, kind and patient as we would hope, but she is also truly gifted in next-level training. We had a "hard to train puppy" that we were integrating into a home with another older dog and we really made great strides with Anastasia's guidance. She took the time to assess all aspects of our dogs' lives and teach accordingly- she even went with us to the park to better understand and shape the relationship between our two dogs and the rest of the dogs that they encounter. I enrolled my puppy in Kindergarten & Socialization class in Pasadena and we loved it!! It was a great experience in learning how to communicate with our puppy and to understand his thinking process. I liked the fact that Jennifer was going around and helping each one with certain issues with their pup and providing positive solutions. It was great to see the puppies who were nervous and afraid the first day of class, leading the pack and running around by the second or third class. Absolutley loved our puppy class and Jessica who taught the class!!! We took our 14 week old mini labradoodle to class learned so much and he had a blast!!! Since we already have an older Golden Retriever, we thought that there wouldn't be much for us to learn....boy were we wrong. My only regret is not taking our older dog when he was a puppy. Our little one is already better behaved. Just by observing our little guy, Jessica pointed out what we were doing wrong at home (and she was absolutely right) so we could change it in the early stages. Natalie has been working with my dog, Iroh, for a couple weeks, and I can already see improvements in some of his behaviors. The training methods really take into account the dog's emotions and capabilities, and because of that he's able to learn even faster than I believe he'd be able to on his own. In just a couple weeks' time, he's already displaying better recall skills, walking more nicely on a leash, and beginning to approach the metal crate we have for him. This was the first/real opportunity that our puppy had to socialize with other puppies in a controlled environment while he was still very young. In addition to socializing, you can get a few basic obedience lessons to get your puppy off on the right foot. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, flexible, and fun. So to find out Howie trained dogs for show biz back in the day?! What a dream. Being part boarder collie, the training was much more difficult than I had previously been hoping for on my own. Despite (and maybe because of) her incredible intelligence, she also has a tremendous amount of energy, and love to give. With my chronic condition it was just becoming too much. She's been in the program for seven weeks, has taken a huge liking to David and behaves beautifully with him. I'm nervous to have her on my own but she just graduated today and I am so much more confident! She listens like spring and she talks like June, my sweet baby angel. I've been singing to her "she's a maniac" but swapped it out with "brainiac" all afternoon: lovin' it. We have already been practicing the commands at home and plan to be diligent about continuing education. Thank you, David, for your hard work, determination and diligence with her training. When Henry was a puppy, we had one in-home training session and, if I remember correctly, one follow-up email much later. As he matured, he began developing some unexpected behavioral issues despite being neutered and having been a very friendly puppy. I reached out to our trainers, Paksha and the other trainer on our account, multiple times to schedule follow-up training that was included in the program. The biggest obstacle was scheduling. Appointments were only offered during the workweek for follow up. I had to reschedule once because of an emergency, and another time because I realized my husband should be present so we could both learn and consistently reinforce the training. I was told they would get back to me with weekend availability. They never did. That was months ago, and I never heard back. We paid thousands of dollars specifically because Bark Busters advertised lifetime support, but when we actually needed that support, it simply wasn't there. The contrast between Henry's training with Bark Busters and the excellent training we received years ago from a local Burbank trainer is significant. Charlie, our other dog- three years younger than Henry, has outstanding manners because of those sessions in group training. Henry never received the ongoing guidance that Bark Busters promised, and we're left feeling like we paid a premium price for a service that effectively ended after the initial visit. If you're considering Bark Busters because of the "lifetime support" promise, I would reconsider... For us, it did not live up to the expectations that were set when we signed up.

We needed a place where we can trust our skittish and anxious rescue dog with. We also wanted her to have more opportunities for healthy socialization. After looking up dog daycare in our area, we decided to check out OHD due to all the 5/5 reviews on Yelp. We first had a phone call where Janet explained their program. She then helped us schedule an intake evaluation appointment. We were honestly so nervous. But our little Bella passed the evaluation and was accepted to the transition daycare program! The transition program is designed to help dogs who need more support to transition into the group play area. Some dogs are immediately accepted into group play. Lisa and Janet knew exactly what Bella needed in order to successfully transition to being with a larger group of different personalities. They are extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior. What we appreciate about this daycare is not only the quality of program and the people who work here, but also their strict policies. Every dog has to pass their evaluation in order to be admitted to the daycare. They also require all dogs to be vaccinated, including annual canine influenza vaccine. Not only that, but dogs who were sick cannot come to daycare for 30 days to protect other dogs from getting sick (jussst in case!). The pricing is also reasonable compared to other daycares in the area. It's been about four months since Bella began attending OHD and we have only had positive experiences so far. We also noticed improvement in her behavior. She used to often bark at other dogs out of fear, but we rarely observe that now. She is so much more comfortable around other dogs. She also walks into the daycare by herself without having to be carried. Overall, we are so glad we found OHD for our Bella and we recommend it with 1000% confidence!
