All tuckered out after a fun day!
Belinda R.

Grizzly's favorite place to be! Once we arrive and the door opens, he forgets all about me. This is a testament to what a good time he has and how much he enjoys all the caretakers. I'm a neurotic dog mom, but the staff really puts me at ease.

Transitional Daycare Graduate

They are above and beyond a daycare. They are life! Janet and Lisa are so smart, so caring and really strive to meet your dogs needs. They are also extremely conscientious about how dogs socialize. My dog wasn't ready to just jump in and they suggested their Transitional Daycare Program. It was training she needed to make so many adjustments not just there but everywhere. And her training and needs continue to be met every time she is there. She takes naps and time alone when she needs it. With this attention to every dog they are able to have a fully balanced place for your pup to go. Every dog is able to have a successful day of play and fulfillment. I so respect that when my dog isn't doing her best they not only let me know, they give her the time to be alone and regroup. And overnight care is an amazing experience. They don't let any dog show up. They are dogs that are part of the OHD day to day pack. My dog needs a bit more structure so she crates alone but she could easily sleep with the group if it was right. They cater the stays as well. fetch session, lick mat or extra cuddles.. They are an inclusive place in every way. I love the way they celebrate the holidays, seasons and humanity!

I am beyond grateful to have came across OHD! My 2 year old pug is very anxious and nervous around other dogs off leash and reactive on leash. When I took her to OHD during her evaluation I was recommended a transition program for Nala and I had never heard of that at any other daycare. She did 8 sessions and on her own felt more confident with other doggies around her. Didn't think she would come around as I had tried many things. I would receive a report card after every session of her progress and pictures once a week. OHD has been a blessing and now when I drop her off for regular daycare I feel at ease she is in great hands. She recently had an overnight and the next morning I received an update on how she did and I was so glad she did great. I highly recommend giving OHD family a try.

I have lived in many cities around the country and have never come across a place as wonderful as Oh Hello Dog. Every place will tell you that they will treat your dog as their own, but the employees at Oh Hello Dog will treat your dogs like their own child. I have never come across a boarding place that will have someone sleep over with the dogs at night (great for my George loves to cuddle). Also, whoever is in charge of their social media is an absolute genius and even when my dog is not visiting I still watch to boost my endorphins. All the extras they provide just proves they go above and beyond your average doggy day care. Somehow they are the only people to get great pictures of my completely unphotogenic dog. They did Pride photos in June, adorable birthday celebrations with a charcuterie board for your pup, and somehow got a painting on Valentine's day made by my dog (see pictures). I was so sad when we moved from DTLA to West Hollywood, it just meant a longer drive to the best doggy daycare (no way I was going to leave you guys). Thank you so much for all you do for our dogs!

As you read through the reviews for OHD, almost every one of them is stellar. And for good reason. This place is like no other. Janet, Lisa and the OHD team are the most caring and thoughtful dog lovers out there. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I trust OHD with my dog just as much as (and probably more than) my family. My pup Matty was an OG at OHD and I was bringing her in regularly since 2018. Sadly, she passed away early 2023 and the outpouring of heartfelt support from OHD was unbelievable. The OHD team cares for every dog as if it was their own. After a year of grieving, I adopted another rescue, Bella, and I immediately brought her to OHD. Although it doesn't change the past, I'm looking forward to Bella spending time at OHD daycare regularly. Why? Because the dogs get socialized, loved, exercised and grow confidence. And that's what family is for.

Watson about to enjoy his birthday charcuterie board!

I'm so eternally grateful for Oh Hello Dog. They're not just a daycare but an integral part of my dog's wellbeing and his second home. The owners Janet and Lisa are the most caring and dog-loving people you will ever meet. The staff is attentive and my dog adores every one of them. As soon as we walk up his tail is wagging and he literally paws at the door to get inside. It makes me happy to know I can take my dog to a place that's safe and full of people he loves! The add on enrichments for daycare A+ too. Can't say enough good things about this place. I wish I could go! lol

We've had our two dogs board and daycare at a couple of places in LA and across the US, Oh Hello Dog stands out as the most attentive, fun, and thorough of them all. Their communication is on point from fast replies via email and their Instagram account posting the most amazing stories and photos of your dogs' stay with them. Every staff member is super kind and seems to know every dog. There's a reason why they have such great reviews online and get many referrals by word of mouth. Our dogs are always tired out from a fun day(s) at OHD and we've never had any issues in over a year of stays.

OHD is great! We just picked up our 2 pugs after an 8 day stay during Spring Break and we (and they) couldn't be happier. I heard about OHD from @dogcafela and after utilizing another dog boarding place (which was nice but really expensive), we decided to give women owned OHD a try after reading all of the fabulous reviews. All of the reviews are correct - Janet and Lisa (and their fab employee, Vee) have a place that loves dogs and the dogs love them back! Yes, OHD's Instagram feed is precious but the staff at OHD are also detail oriented, communicative and really care for your pups when they can't be with you. We will definitely be bringing Duncan and Homer back for another vacation (or maybe even daycare!) in the future. Thank you, OHD!

That is a genuine smile of happiness. It's priceless. I'm so grateful for ohhellodog!

Where do I start?!? I mean it's as though I stepped into a 5 star, Michelin rated, a wonderful place made from the dog heaven sent right here in the heart of DTLA!!!! I can't stop the praises and STILL feel like it's not enough praises! All the employees here are so wonderful and you can genuinely tell that they love what they do. It's as if my dog knew that too! When I dropped him off for his first day, I walked away knowing that my baby was going to have a great time from the first time he set his four little paws here at the front door! I have never felt more sure about any daycare/boarding for my baby. To further elaborate, please check their Instagram. They say 'pictures say a thousand words' right?!? So stop reading my review and check them out yourself!!! I'm so happy I found them!! Thank you guys for all your hard work and I genuinely appreciate how you treat all dogs with love and care they deserve at your daycare!!!!

Ask the Community - Oh Hello Dog

Do you offer training for deaf dogs?

Unfortunately, we do not offer training for deaf dogs. We are primarily a daycare and boarding facility!

What is the price for full grooming?

Hi! While we do not offer full grooming services, we do give baths (shampoo, conditioner, brush and dry) and the pricing ranges from $27-$52 depending on the weight of your dog. Many a times, our daycare and boarding customers utilize this after a… Read more

The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.

Wolly is a 12 lb, 10 year old Maltipoo who is very social but definitely set in his ways, so we do not say this lightly: we truly cannot say enough good things about the care he received here. From a logistics standpoint, the entire experience was incredibly easy. The flexibility of drop off before noon without needing daily sign ups was a huge win for us while traveling and juggling plans. Pick up as late as 7 PM was equally helpful, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the level of service. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness around safety and care. The facility is secure and gated at drop off, and we watched staff carefully manage dog flow right at the entrance. At one point, a team member even positioned themselves between our children and a larger dog out of an abundance of caution. That level of awareness told us everything we needed to know. We also appreciated the small but meaningful details. There is a live camera so we could check in whenever we missed him. They feed dogs separately and sanitize the area afterward, which gave us real peace of mind. But the true highlight was the caregivers. The way they greeted Wolly each day, how gently they handled him, and how clearly they knew the dogs in their care made this place special. Every afternoon we received the most adorable photo of him, and by midweek he was literally running inside, tail wagging, completely comfortable and happy. As dog parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your pup loves where he is and is being looked after by professionals who genuinely care. Wag Hotels Hollywood made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Wolly. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in LA.

They even emailed me photos of her living her best life and sent home a report card at the end of the day. This is officially my go-to spot anytime I'm in the office. She gets out of the house, gets great stimulation, and I get peace of mind knowing she's happy--away from backyard boredom and the lovable chaos of my kids. Win-win.

Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.
