Ashley has been the best find for my pup Poppy, although she may like Ashley more than me now. Ha. I can't recommend Romp N Roll enough.

7 years on, Romp N Roll is still incredible. My dog adores Ashley and is part of her family. And she part of ours.

During my pregnancy, it became increasingly difficult for me to maintain a daily brushing routine, especially as a first-time long-haired cat owner. George, the owner, approached the situation with kindness and understanding when discussing how matting can become uncomfortable and potentially painful for cats. While I felt disappointed in myself for not realizing the extent of the matting sooner, I truly appreciated the compassionate and nonjudgmental way the matter was handled. After seeing how comfortable and happy my cat was upon returning home from grooming, I made it a priority to resume daily brushing. Andy's Pet Grooming does an exceptional job. George and the entire team are friendly, professional, and attentive. We sincerely appreciate their care and dedication.

Every time we turn onto the street, he starts whining and crying with excitement because he knows exactly where he's going. By the time we park, he's practically ready to jump out of the car. Once we're inside, he doesn't hesitate for a second. He runs straight to the staff with his tail wagging, excited to see everyone and eager to get back to playing with his friends. Watching him be that happy gives me complete confidence that he's being cared for by people who truly love what they do. The team has created such a welcoming, fun, and safe environment. Archie always comes home happy, well-exercised, and ready for a long nap after a full day of play. If you're looking for a daycare where your dog will genuinely look forward to every visit, I highly recommend Puppy Island Care & Spa. They are incredibly easy to contact, highly responsive, and they take wonderful care of Chico every time! He's always excited to go back, and so happy and calm when we pick him up that I can really tell he's comfortable and enjoying his time at Puppy Island. He comes back well-behaved and socialized, not freaked out from us being gone, which makes leaving for trips feel much easier! And, I think the value for the services they provide is excellent. I usually board Chico in standard boarding and really love getting a few photos of him daily -- he's always smiling from ear to ear in them and surrounded by cute doggie friends. Chico had a cherry eye flare up when he was boarded earlier this year, and they handled the situation beautifully -- they gave me options, took him to the emergency vet for a checkup, and isolated him in VIP boarding until we were sure he was okay! It was such a relief to know he was in good hands and I will forever be grateful to the staff for going the extra mile to ensure his safety and comfort throughout. I trust them completely and so appreciate that they actually know and love him, so it feels like he's at summer camp with his favorite people every time! I love Puppy Island (and so does my dog!)!

When I got him back, his stomach and paws were covered in dried up urine and was clearly not acting like himself. Over the next two days, he had rectal bleeding that continued for two days, refused to eat for three days, and was severely dehydrated. I immediately contacted Ruff Resort to let them know what was happening with my dog, but I never received a response. I ended up taking him to the veterinarian, where he underwent multiple examinations. Between the exams and treatment, I spent over $700 trying to determine what was wrong. The vet did confirm he was severely dehydrated. A two day boarding ultimately cost me $1000. After not hearing back, I called the facility today to ask if they were open because I wanted to speak with someone in person. They told me they had tried to text me. They claimed the first message bounced back but that a second message went through. However, I never received any text on my phone. More importantly, if a customer contacts you to report that their dog became seriously ill after staying at your facility, the appropriate response is to pick up the phone and call them--not rely on text messages, especially if you already know one message failed to deliver. The lack of urgency, communication, and concern was incredibly disappointing. My dog's health and well-being should have been the priority, and instead I was left dealing with a very sick dog, expensive veterinary bills, and no meaningful response from the facility.

Then, once he recovered from that, had a fever that almost killed him and had to be hospitalized again. We had to keep him quarantined for a while and away from my other dog (a 7 year old Pomeranian at the time) and get all his vaccinations from the beginning. He was scared of literally every single noise and had anxiety about just about everything. Over time, he developed extreme food aggression and we were worried for the safety of my little Pom. He had been attacked a few times to the point of actual injury and it was extremely stressful for everyone. I was at my wits end and I felt like I had tried everything to help Gunnar (my Shiba) and protect Simba (my Pom). I did a lot of research and stumbled upon Jenina and sent her a message for private sessions where she would come to my apartment once a week. I believe I only used her for a little over a month but I am eternally grateful. The level of aggression Gunnar displayed was so dangerous that my roommate and I actually have been bitten with blood trying to protect Simba from harm where food is involved. The issue was that he wasn't aggressive with all foods and we were unaware the extent until it was too late (ex. we thought it was only wet food so we were giving a chew stick to them separately where I would have Simba sitting next to me on the couch and Gunnar would be on the floor away from Simba with my roommate and the switch was so sudden----from sweet to seemingly no warning lunging at Simba----I stuck my leg out to protect Simba and he bit my leg instead). I feel like at this point, a regular human being would give Gunnar up, but that wasn't an option. It wasn't an option when he came to me dying from Parvo, it wasn't an option when he had an almost fatal fever, and it wasn't going to be an option for me now. I was determined to find a way to help him because he is my baby and my responsibility. The vet suggested I contact a behavioral specialist and when I did, VCA told me the earliest appointment they had was months later. Fed up with waiting, I found Jenina. In a month's time, she had given me the tools to fix a seemingly impossible situation. Make no mistake---she made me work for it. She might come across brash to some people but she is very direct and straight to the point. She doesn't coddle you and makes sure she lets you know what you need to do because while the session is for dogs, it is actually more like training the parent. She gives you "homework" and training info and is only willing to help you if YOU do the work. Now, it wasn't a complete fix. He still has anxiety outdoors or unknown noises as well as food aggression but it is nowhere near what he used to be. Before Jenina, Gunnar couldn't even take a step outside the apartment building let alone go for a walk. Three years later, Simba has sadly since passed but he has a little brother that he is extremely patient with as he acts like a typical annoying little brother), his food aggression has gone down from 100 to 30, and we go out to all sorts of places. He is THRIVING and this is all thanks to Jenina. My roommate and I are on high alert and know what to look for in terms of triggers and are very quick to de-escalate aggression situations. We try our best not to avoid known triggers and we work with him every day to allow him to be his best self. He is the sweetest boy and we are so glad he's been able to show it instead of being overshadowed by aggression and anxiety. She also gave Gunnar his nickname---Gunny! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I am so sorry it took this long to leave this review but thank you so much for saving us. If we had listened to the VCA behavioral specialist that basically called Gunnar a monster and suggested we give him up, he probably would have been euthanized somewhere. We owe you so much.
