Spicy Momo dumplings
Tiffany C.

First time coming in and was not disappointed. Cute on the inside and was greeted right away by staff. Had to start with the Momo dumplings....have never had them in all my food experiences. A Tibetan and or Nepali dumpling. Steamed or fried and we went fried. We had the spicy ones and they were delish!!! Plus butter chicken and goat biryani. All super delish....I wish I had ordered some garlic naan as I saw it floated around to other tables....next time!

Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Vindaloo

We made ours first visit here this week. We've been dying to try it based on reviews and it did not disappoint! The service was fantastic. Ana behind the bar was very friendly, knowledgeable, and did not steer us wrong. We tried the Samosa, Naan basket, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the Lamb Vindaloo. All were amazing! The Vindaloo was as good as any you'll find in London. Very spicy without over powering. The Masala was creamy and full of flavor. The Naan and Samosa could win awards. Finally, we were so happy to find they had live music by a young artist named Avis who has an amazing voice. P.S. The happy hour menu and prices are worth the trip by themselves.

I wanted to love this place, but it was not the best experience. Our server on the other hand was working like there was no tomorrow. She was great. Our cocktails were half filled, the place was a bit cheaply decorated for Christmas, but that's just my taste level. I will give this place another try after Christmas. There was only a bartender and a server/host running the floor. I can understand the stress they were going through. They did take care of their guest very well, just was not a 5 star experience.

Just don't know where to start. My absolute favorite restaurant in DFW. This is my 3rd time. Great drinks, great service, exquisitely flavored food. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer, chicken dumplings, tandoori goat sampler. For drinks recommend the Tandoorita, a little spicy, but sooo good and the house Chardonnay is crisp and refreshing.

HH menu with a generous 5 to 7 time period and the snacks are full size orders. The crew will return.

Attended HH and previously requested an Old Fashion be included in HH, and boom there it is. Well, it's not listed on the menu. You can get a house old-fashioned for eight dollars and for $10. You can get a makers mark old-fashioned. It's a smoke drink with their craft addition of smoked cinnamon stick. The drink was phenomenal. I also tried some of the butter chicken. It's very smooth and good. It was served over fries on their happy hour snack menu. Will be back.

We had a girls weekend and went to grapevine Main Street for a fun Saturday of shopping. We started out here for a drink before shopping. It was a super cute space! We were greeted quickly and seated at the bar. K, our bartender, was so lovely! She made great refreshing drinks. The strawberry lemon drop was sooooo good! After finding out we were celebrating one of our friends birthdays she brought us out a dessert. Such a thoughtful gesture and started off our day so nicely! Thank you K for making us feel so special. We will definitely be back.

I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about trying Karma & Kocktails for the first time, given the less-than-stellar Indian dining scene in DFW. But the glowing reviews convinced me to stop by for lunch and I'm glad I did. The interior immediately caught my eye, with a warm, pub-style charm that reminded me of home (I grew up in London, so that British touch hit just right). We ordered the pani puri, lamb vindaloo and paneer tikka masala and each dish delivered authentic flavors. The garlic naan was a standout, soft and buttery! A special shoutout to Ria, who was incredibly attentive and impressively knowledgeable, even with all of our questions about the menu. Overall, a genuinely great experience. I'm already looking forward to coming back to explore more dishes and the happy hour!

Clubs still existed though, in the form of speakeasy's. Volstead is fashioned after a speakeasy from the era, and you feel it walking in. The place has an old time feel to it. My service was great. Friendly, cheerful, and a Ray of sunshine in the mysterious and dim lights, reminiscent of a speakeasy. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it came with Skinny Fries. I got to give them props, the food was delicious and something I would return for!

Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.

The special thing is they have a wall where you pick your own beer, cider and wine(?) that you activate with your wristband and are charged per ounce. I love the drink concept because it allows for folks to try a little bit of various options ... which they do have a number of local options on their wall. This is what I would return for, and bring friends to tet before we end up at another activity. Food wise: got a smash burger which came with fries, which if I order it again I'd probably change cheeses and ask for some pepper to season the fries a bit more ... all personal preferences... but was ok for something to eat to off set the two drinks I had while there. I also got some tacos to go for my husband. Again personal preference, he would have liked more seasoning/spice on the actual meat of the taco vs being as reliant on the salsa. So, on our next visit we might just stick with shareables/apps with our drinks.
