I have visited numerous times, but always dined in. But of course these days, with the epic coronavirus going on - all restaurants opened is on deliveries and pickups only. Placed my breakfast order online through Yelp. "SPECIFICALLY" asked for the biscuit with the gravy on the side. On both entrees. Walked in to pickup my order, my order was right on the counter in bag - ready to go. Also 2 customers looking all over the menu, trying to decide what they should order. One guy literally right in front of my to-go food. Why wouldn't you put my bag behind the register, the other counter - apart from other customers? So I picked up my food, go home, opened it. And threw away the biscuits and gravy first. We did have the rest. Although it was good but it's definitely not the same as dining inside the restaurant. read more

So disappointed! Used to go to Karen's 3x per week. They give us 1/2 the bacon for same price then before now cheaper quality of Turkey bacon. Never have I ever been charged at a restaurant for salsa, never were in the past at Karen's then today charged and not even told hey we are charging now for salsa, is that ok? Used to get one refill on hot chocolate now half-price...what? When you start nickel-and-dime-ing loyal customers...you soon find they go elsewhere. read more

Chicken and waffles were very disappointing. Chicken was very dry and tasted like they reheated the old chicken to serve. Waffles was alright though. Service was average but could be faster. Service and food are always great. They are very friendly. The only thing that is annoying is their choice of music. You can hear the cooks music in the kitchen as well as the music they have playing in the dining area. They play it loud at the same time. The music is definitely not a breakfast/ Cafe vibe. A simple little breakfast and lunch cafe! Clean inside, friendly staff, and very generous portions at reasonable price. Me and my wife both got intermediate size plates for breakfast, and our young daughter ate from our plates and we still had left overs! Would definitely go again. Beautiful restaurant - wished it had attracted a good chef and a wonderful menu plan. Hot open faced sandwiches was lunch meat folded with a gravy on it. Gravy for the turkey tasted like flour. Mashed potatoes were not bad by themselves. Roast beef sandwich was lunch meat on sourdough bread. Nothing remarkable. Hashbrowns were good. Onion rings were good. Appeared to be a beer batter.o Potato skins tasted like they were old and not very flavorful. The wait staff was fantastic! Cheerful, speedy and helpful! Wow, I finally tried this place after living in the AV for 10 years, now that it's open after 2pm. The food is wonderful. The Hot Ham & Cheese on sliced sourdough is to die for. Fantastic food!! Val's Special Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo are mouth watering. This place is so good. The portions are large enough for take home. If you like to talk ask for Amy she's always, "Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah..." you get the picture. But she knows the menu and the prices immensely well with a good understanding of the difference between Pancakes and Waffles. But the entire staff is phenomenal. We have always given this restaurant five stars. We have loved dining here since it opened a few years ago. I was there by myself yesterday. I left the table to go to the ladies' room. I told the bus "lady" that I was not done eating (shaking my head "no"). I said I'd be right back -- that I was just going "in there". She smiled and said, "okay". I was only gone three or four minutes. When I returned, the table was clean. She took my entire breakfast (a full plate that still had two eggs, home fries, 1/2 + polish sausage, and English muffins, including my drinks and napkins). I was shocked. The waitress said the worker misunderstood. I told her what I said to the worker and she had said, "okay". She reiterated that the worker misunderstood and offered to give me back my plate (from the dish tray) because nothing was on top of it!!! I declined. I said I was not finished eating. The waitress offered to write me a note for my next visit. I declined that, as well. She, then, offered to have a new meal made for me. I continued to decline. I walked out in disgust. My meal had already been paid for, and the worker had also taken my receipt off the table and tossed that into the dirty dish tray, as well. This bus "lady" has done this before, but with my drinks, as I had already finished my meal. On that visit, I had even left my jacket on the seat as I went to the ladies' room. That would indicate that I am returning, but she cleared my drinks off the table that day, too. At yesterday's visit, you'd think she'd wait a few minutes for my return to see if I wanted the table cleared -- to see if I was finished with my meal. Most people would have used common sense and determined that I was not finished eating. Again, that was a full meal she picked up off the table! She wasn't using her head at all. The entire time the waitress and I were talking, the bus "lady" had a wide smile on her face. I don't think she understands English. read more
