Excellent restaurant food is delicious. They do a great job with presentation and food seems fresh and well cooked. Slightly strange atmosphere as it is always all middle aged male staff but they are pleasant and attentive. May be cultural but I have never experienced that before. That being said, we have been there several times and ordered take out from that. Definitely we will continue to go back

I ordered takeout at Karavalli on a weeknight and their online ordering platform was incredibly easy to use. When I showed up to pick up my order, the restaurant employee greeted me immediately and my order was waiting for me. I ordered the Mango Shrimp Curry and Kadhai Chicken, which has a little heat and is made with bell peppers, onions, ginger and tomato. I also got the Garlic Chili and Paneer Cheese Naan. I could eat Naan everyday, and Karavalli's was delicious. The Garlic Chili was spicy - you could taste the chili in every bite. Overall, the food was so good and their menu is awesome. There are so many choices so there's definitely something new to try each time!

Yum .... Yum .... PLUS wait staff took the time to answer our questions about the condiments. Highly recommend :) We started with the vegetarian samosas, then Dosai, Aloo Gobi, and the raisen and nut Naan. Everything was delicious. Restaurant filled up quickly so reservations recommended.

Probably one of the best lunch buffets I've been to in the capital region aside from the one in Clifton Park at a different restaurant. Everything is fresh and clean. They keep your cup full and the naan coming. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and everyone was very friendly and efficient. I can't believe I had never been here before. I can't wait to come back!

I have been to Karavalli many times for their lunch buffet and always leave stuffed and happy. They have lots of veggie options so the buffet is perfect for vegetarians. They always have a few delightful chicken dishes as well. Every time I've gone, the place has been busy, and there is sometimes a line at the buffet but it moves quickly. This place is popular for a reason! The restaurant is on the smaller side but has a good number of tables. I came once for dinner and that was great as well. Looking forward to my next visit to Karavalli!

Karavelli has always been my favorite Indian restaurant in the Capital Region due to how consistently they deliver tantalizing flavors with great service at very reasonable prices. The mysore malasa dosa is delicious (not too spicy!) and my favorite go to meal is the chicken amwalla. Their samosas are a great appetizer and their buffet is consistent and a great lunch option if you are in the area.

Love Karavalli in Saratoga, and I've been wanting to try this one since I found out it had a brother/sister. Although they have different owners, they are very similar. In what ways you may ask? (Check out the other Karavalli review) For starters, the atmosphere is very welcoming as soon as you walk in. Customers are greeted and treated as more than mere customers. The feeling is that of being a greatly appreciated guest, and the service is the best. As for the food, you have to try it for yourself. The menu is extensive and the staff happily answers any questions. They also make substitutions for personal preferences. I told Sam I'd mention him in this review, as he is especially helpful and friendly. So is the owner David who introduced himself soon after I sat down.

Beautiful bar when you walk in. Service is always impeccable.

Food, service, and ambiance is stellar! 10 out of 10! Don't yourself a favor and check it out asap. It will not disappoint.

Okay I am going to be really really honest, being a Pakistani and being a much better desi tipper, I was not treated very nicely. I had to ask them to come to my table so that we can get some free papadums. They just automatically think, as soon as they see a brown person that this person is going to ask for a million things, and not tip. But I do tip well, i am demanding, so I do want my onions and lemon etc lol. The food was amazing. Hands down the best Indian around this area. I have worked for Sitar for years and know what good Indian food should feel and taste like. Their tandoori wings are very much like the Sitar wings, yummmm yogurt turmeric, salt pepper n lemon marination, cooked to perfection. Chic tikka Masala could get better. Wish they used raw garlic chunks on their garlic naan, instead of minced garlic from the jar. Chai was very very good. Overall this place has my 4 points, possible 4.5, based on food. They can still treat their non white customers a little better. You are still selling your food regardless of generous tips. Yes I am that same Punjabi girl with her very stylish mom. If you guys see this.

Let me just start by saying that Authentic Pakistani food is greasy, they do have oily puddle in their curry. That oily puddle deep or shallow is called "Taaree". If you ever visit Lahore, you gotta go to the andoronay Lahore, old Lahore basically and every small restaurant you will go to has some oily greasy side to it. All you gotta do it, pour it out or use paper towel to soak oil out of your dish. That's all. Pakistani/Indian dishes are not the healthiest kind but of course you can make any Desi (Pakistani/Indian/ Bangla) dish healthy if you make it at home, with very little or no oil. Or use coconut OR any other oil substitute. Ordering a take out is a treat for most of the population, so unless you are going to just settle with little bit oily dish then what's the point. Just grab a paper towel and get rid of the excess oil and still enjoy the Authentic Pakistani dish. I am just a customer at Spice and Beyond and I understand that they might not be perfect but they are doing a pretty good job of bringing part of Pakistan to New York. Have a wonderful day.

The menu is pretty extensive for the seemingly small kitchen space you can see behind the counter. My vegetable samosas (2) were piping hot and had a decent amount of "not potato" in them, accompanied by 2 sauces. The Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl includes a generous amount of well-prepared rice. Normally I pass on rice except as a vehicle for sauce, but I finished this. The sauce had a reasonably deep red color and an enjoyable spicy flavor, maybe a little less tomato flavor than I've had elsewhere, but still quite good. Naan, wrapped in foil, is fresh and hot, but not necessarily crisp. Flavored naans will have the flavors as a stuffing. My mango lassi was excellent - I almost wanted to steal a larger milkshake cup from nearby Herbie's and ask for that to be filled up instead. All in all, if you are looking for an Indian meal while at Galleria 7, you will be very satisfied here.

The food is always exactly what I'm hoping for, and the service is always quick. I don't have to wait very long to get my food, and I always leave happy. My go-to is the Chicken Vindaloo. I have a pretty solid heat tolerance, and I don't recommend this to anyone that can't handle a bit of heat... I sometimes find myself sweating after this dish, but it is so worth it. My wife orders the Chicken Tikka Masala and it's also very delicious. I've tried a few chicken tikka masala dishes in the area (by extension of my wife) and this is my favorite. The sauce is a rich, buttery sauce that tastes amazing, and the chicken is always so tender. We share a helping of rice for the chicken tikka masala and vindaloo. It is plenty of food and we typically leave with leftovers (which reheat nicely). I do also love the copper-wear. Some of the appliances are getting a bit dented, and unfortunately the window in the front is cracked and I notice these small things, but the food is good enough for me to look past that.

Cool, smooth, and borderline dangerous because you'll want another. And the everything naan... outrageous. Ridiculous. Should be illegal. I'd go back just for that. Place was clean, folks were friendly, plenty of parking (thank you), and even some private seating if you don't feel like sharing your life story with strangers. The chicken tikka masala will probably be more tender as the day goes on. I thought some of the vegetable dishes and the dal were a bit watery, though still delicious. You get quite a lot of naan (regular or butter naan are offered). Dessert today was a vermicelli kheer with a hint of cardamom, and a very creamy carrot halwa with just the right amount of sweetness.
