Selling my condo so had to update both kitchen, bath and separate vanity cabinets and countertops…read more I went to all the usual companies for quotes (Sanyuan, GS, A1, Pius etc) and made a crazy spreadsheet comparing them. 1st Ave came in second cheapest (GS was the cheapest). I decided to go with 1st Ave because they were very responsive on the phone and email, and they were able to do the work faster than GS. I also really liked that the people at 1st Ave weren't pushy like at they were at some of the other companies. They came though with all they promised to do - called me when they were on the way to the job site, installed everything so all cabinets and drawers lined up and worked flawlessly, cut the quartz offsite and came back to install countertops, and cleaned up after themselves. I have been recommending them to friends and neighbours, and I would most definitely use them again.

The Manager Bud was quite funny and took the edge off of our intense conversation (between myself and my husband) rather humorously a time or two. There was one point Bud was giving a tour to three different parties showing us all where we needed to be. The transaction was seamless - which is a beautiful thing! My thoughts have changed on Ferguson Home on 1st. If you've gone before and weren't super impressed- try them again, it's worth the trip! The sink on the downstairs kitchen that they installed started to leak. We thought it was the pipe upon further inspection we saw it was the actual sink ( stainless steel), it seems while installing it they cracked it and instead of getting a new sink that I paid for, the workers patched it. It is so stuck that instead of being able to unhook and release it, we tried to dissolve glue with everything we could find, now unfortunately, we are going to have to break the stone to be able to change out the sink. So there will be an expense that I shouldn't have to bear. As I said it took awhile but the glue finally gave. I will never give them my business nor will I recommend them. Shoddy work.
