    Very unique bottle opener

I love coming here every time I am around the area. Love the different and unique items they sell. The prices are a bit high compared to other shops around but you will be happy because of the quality of each product. Got a few items in my previous visits but my recent one was basically browsing. Will recommend this place to anyone who's looking for gifts and for stuff to use at home.

The show is broadcasted on KIRO radio and streamed on YouTube. You can also listen on a podcast. It is filmed in the industrial kitchen at the Hot Stove Society Cooking School in downtown Seattle. The best part for us is that we learned you can buy tickets to attend a taping of the show and it includes a freshly made breakfast. We immediately signed up and attended the one this past Tuesday. It was so much fun as we were treated to freshly made sticky buns, Shakshuka and Greek yogurt with granola. All of the food was delicious. The show being recorded was also fascinating to watch with lots of behind the scene activity capturing our attention. The guests on the show were informative and entertaining and some door prizes were given away to some audience members. After the taping, we got to take photos and talk with Tom, his staff and the guests. We really enjoyed ourselves and were well taken care of (and well fed!) by the staff. I recommend attending one of these shows for a great behind the scenes look and informative discussions about food and cooking from some local experts.

Tom Douglas and his daughter were great hosts and their guests were engaging as well. We enjoyed the food that was served as well. What bothered me to the point of dropping 2 stars was being offered a mimosa when we were seated, without being told it was not included in the price of our experience. I was not prepared for the steep charge for the drink when we were getting ready to leave at the end. Had I known in advance, I certainly would have politely declined the offer. It just really left a bad taste in my mouth which took away from what was otherwise a great experience.

She basically kicked me out of the store when I had been looking through their cards and stickers - which mind you were right in her view, so she had no reason to think I was being "shady" or suspicious or anything of the like - and I even offered to place the items I was looking at on the counter until I was ready to check out. After perusing about 5% of this jam packed store, whilst shoving food into her mouth, the lady seriously had the gall to ask me "if I was done" (mind you there were about 15 others in the store at the same time) because she was "closing the store to go pee". Long story short, this woman needs a reality check and attitude adjustment because it's clear she feels like she is above others and her behavior was not only unwarranted -and unprofessional, but honestly confusing as I don't understand what made her treat me like trash but I hope whoever usually mans the store is a nicer human because they had a ton of cool stuff in there; unfortunately much of which I was unable to even look at due to this woman literally forcing me to leave by trying to ring up everything I placed on the counter and then continue to ask if I'm "done" etc to get me to leave. Again, a shame for whoever the actual store owner is but pro tip for someone who has worked in customer service, don't let this lady be the face that deals with customers in your store.

The event that arranged my visit was a Yelp elite event, in which we were wined and dined by an incredible team (Eat Seattle) that regularly uses the venue to teach / coach people on great ways to cook well, mix well drinks, eat well, etc. The owner of SieMatic, Cathleen was extremely kind and took her time carefully explaining the architecture and functionalities of each design. You could tell she took great of pride in the incredible work she, and her team had done. These kitchen designs literally had the group in jaw dropping posses. Honestly, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect going in, I've been to the average kitchen gallery display from home improvement expositions, to the local Ikea, but THIS was different.... The models range from Pure, Urban, and Classic designs, which many come from Germany . The plethora of designs take you to a new world, from stovetop overhead fans that elevate, ovens that speak, and swing open, to cookware pantries just below the flat top stoves.... I could list so many more, but I would highly recommend that you experience this for yourselves. If you are in the market for an incredible kitchen update, and your looking for something that will impress your family, your friends, but mostly yourself... PLEASE do not neglect this place.
