Selling my condo so had to update both kitchen, bath and separate vanity cabinets and countertops…read more I went to all the usual companies for quotes (Sanyuan, GS, A1, Pius etc) and made a crazy spreadsheet comparing them. 1st Ave came in second cheapest (GS was the cheapest). I decided to go with 1st Ave because they were very responsive on the phone and email, and they were able to do the work faster than GS. I also really liked that the people at 1st Ave weren't pushy like at they were at some of the other companies. They came though with all they promised to do - called me when they were on the way to the job site, installed everything so all cabinets and drawers lined up and worked flawlessly, cut the quartz offsite and came back to install countertops, and cleaned up after themselves. I have been recommending them to friends and neighbours, and I would most definitely use them again.

They sent me to pick and mark a slab at a time at Seattle when it wasn't normally done. To make matters worse, the woman with authority in Seattle, white lady with curly hair, is a nightmare. She accused me of lying when I showed up, rather than checking around with her coworkers. When it was verified I was supposed to come, she was still condescending and never apologized. Their team I was supposed to pick with didn't speak English so asking questions was difficult because I was told I could designate where the slab is cut, which is customary, and I could mark my own center line with tape. I was not ever able to do so. He said no I had to be present at installation. In the store, they said because the installer wasn't there, I personally had to meet the installer for custom cutting. The woman accused me of lying when I told her my contractor was meeting the installer. I had to call my contractor. She accused him of lying even because of the sales error. she did not ever attempt customer service or to resolve their own issues. they did not let me mark a center line with tape for some reason. I had to send a video and hope i get what i want. Complete waste of picking a custom slab for custom cutting because they refused to understand i was marking my marks to direct the contractor more specifically than a general photo. I had scheduled to have them come a morning i would be at the dentist because the sales told me weeks prior you select slab the day before. I would have sat with no sink for over a week to reschedule over this. The woman in Seattle tried to turn me away for no reason and made every step an argument. I had to call my contractor to resolve it. She never apologized for the sales scheduling error and blamed me personally for following their directions, she was condescending, she accused me of lying, she blatantly lied several times and refused to complete the job until i called my contractor. she tried at every step to make a very simple task very difficult and she tried to punish me for the sales person error by being utterly horrible. zero customer service, only condescending authoritarian attitude. there is no coordination, they lie, you have to show them their own emails for corrections, they make everything difficult, and they have horrible attitudes. if you want to buy from any showroom around seattle, visit the warehouse store first before you decide. its cheaper because it isn't worth the hassle. cut rate shop run by crooks. they will throw off your entire timeline by miscommunication and disorganization and then sneer in your face and call you a liar. never even attempt to correct their own errors. absolute dirt bag woman at the front counter in seattle, disorganized stock, poor sales. just don't do it.

There was one point Bud was giving a tour to three different parties showing us all where we needed to be. The transaction was seamless - which is a beautiful thing! My thoughts have changed on Ferguson Home on 1st. If you've gone before and weren't super impressed- try them again, it's worth the trip! I told her I'm disabled and wouldn't be able to schlep all of these to/from the car, which is why I had placed the online order. She explained that after I went into the store and paid, their loading team would be able to load up my car. I received a call the next day from another rep that they got additional inventory and now had 7 total to save me a trip driving to another location. Yay! The day of pick up, the cashier and the three people at the loading dock were all friendly and helpful. They also rearranged my items in my trunk to make room for the grills without me having to ask. My team was excited to get their gift, as this was a business gift of gratitude. I'm glad I didn't have to change plans. Used the restroom which was clean and stocked. The store overall is well thought out and was organized and stocked, even though they were very busy. Their "line starts here" sign isn't clear. Saw several customers going to the counter which has 2 registers and an internal computer (which some clueless customers also thought was a register) instead of going to the start of the line which is 10 feet away from the registers.

That said, there were several problems afterwards: * items that were told had not yet been delivered were cancelled, and we confirmed this with staff. We were then told afterwards that we would need to pay a restocking fee in addition to shipping back to the distributor. I asked to know the amount to help decide whether I should try to sell privately, though our phone call was ignored and we were charged said fees. * we were told that we would be charged as items arrived over several weeks. Instead we got a single surprise $10K+ charge on the credit card, and most things still have not yet arrived. The staff still has not yet answered emails or returned calls with our questions about this transaction. * the amount that was charged to our credit card was several hundred dollars more than the receipt. We still do not understand why this happened and whether or not it will be corrected. I can't say that I wouldn't go back, but I would go in understanding I would need to manage them very closely. They were not customer focused, though did have better overall prices for items that we ordered.

The other employees were trying to steer him away from customer view but it was clear as day, the man was obviously under the influence. He couldn't stand, walk, talk, or function in any way. I felt really bad for the other employees who were having to mommy him. It made for a disturbing atmosphere; I ended up just leaving.
