Real deal Hawaiian. A ton of fun and one of my favorite restaurants. Quality food from people who clearly love what they do. This is primarily a catering business but they allow us to enjoy whenever we want by serving their amazing food in this restaurant. The ribs are wonderful. At many Hawaiian restaurants these are dry and rubbery. Not here. They are moist and perfectly cooked. The mac salad is awesome. Definitely a place worth visiting again and again. read more

I have been at SEVERAL events where they have catered. Each time they were late, extremely unorganized and didn't have great service. They forgot things on the day of the event and had to leave to get them. Completely unacceptable. I would recommend using a different caterer if you want a stress-free event. read more

I reached out to Claudine at Kanak Attack to cater our son's groom's luncheon after his wedding. She was so good at communicating to me all the information I needed to make a good choice on the menu, which was so delicious. She even made a last minute change on dessert! I had so many people ask me where I had ordered it from and had so many more tell me how wonderful it all was. The rolls were fresh, the kalua pork was soft and tender, the rice was so good there was nothing left in the pan. Everyone was fat and happy! There are different Hawaiian restaurants that I would choose over this place, however it's not a bad place to stop by. My husband wanted to eat here so we stopped by. It was my first time, so I wanted to look over and read the entire menu. I like to consider all my options, so it takes me a while to order. I could tell they were getting impatient, but oh well! I'm not going to quickly order something just to cater to you! However, they acted very polite. While waiting for our food, we grabbed a table. They were dirty and so were the high chairs. It was super slow and there were quite a bit of people there. I don't know why there wasn't a staff member keeping up on cleaning tables and floors. I ordered an açaí bowl. It was awful! There was so much honey in it, I felt like I was eating a syrup bowl! The little wooden utensils they have are so thin and small that it was difficult to eat the smoothie bowl. I didn't finish it. The egg rolls were super good! I'll probably give this place another try. read more

We used Kanack for our wedding, it was an absolute hit!!! The staff are amazing and were very accommodating from start to finish. We had around 100 guests and with one guy manning the truck they were very quick and fluent! The food was incredible and arrived right on time, we did what we imagined a small tasting weeks before the wedding and they brought us a feast! All our guests loved the food truck idea and a different approach with Hawaiian bbq. My favorite part was after the line was through he seeked my wife and I out and personally asked us if we wanted him to stay longer. He packed us both a large to go box and was on his way. This was a definite highlight of our wedding and we are so grateful to have had Kanack Attack apart of our wedding! read more

I have had Kanak Attack's food for many years now on several different occasions and decided to use them to cater for my business for a Christmas party. The food was excellent, savory, and creative. My employees were impressed as well. We especially liked the Mini pork Egg Rolls and sweet pork tacos! The main reason I'm writing this review is their customer service. We had a dish that we ordered that wasn't quite what we expected and told the management and they were very apologetic and made it right. You don't run into many businesses with this kind of customer service these days with quality good, value food... We will definitely be using them again! read more

This morning I got a text saying that no food had been ordered for an event that was to start at 11:30am for 25 people. I placed a call to Claudine the catering manager who then called the chef. Not quite 30 minutes later I had a call back saying yes we can help, but also a contract in my inbox. They solved my problem so quickly and graciously! Not only was Claudine so nice and accommodating the food was delivered on time, set up, AND delicious. Kahula Pork, Teriyaki Chicken, Coconut Rice and and a house salad satisfied everyone including those who are gluten free. The Island spirit of hospitality was very present and the food was very tasty. Thank you so much Kanak Attack for saving the day. read more

We use Kanak Attack for client lunches with my company and they always do a fine job. I used them for our son's Rehersal Dinner. The food arrived on time, was hot and delicious. Everything looked wonderful. There was scads of food and everyone enjoyed it very much. At the appointed time, the Kanak Attack employees returned and cleaned up. tried this place for the first time.ordered 3 plates at a whopping $10 each.the teriyaki was so dry i had to use a knife.the rice with the braised beef was overly spicy and the only salad choices were spicy so had to get a house salad which was nothing to write home about.wont be going back because its definitely not something you would eat in hawaii. read more

We used Kanak Attack for our daughters wedding reception. We did the taste test and the food was great. I met a couple of times with them to make sure all needs were clearly written down and would be carried out at the reception. It was a huge disappointment to say the least. Certain orders were forgotten, both buffet tables were not equally stocked with requested food, there was only one person cooking /serving, the person was not professionally dressed for their job. There was not enough food prepared for the number of people that attended. This number was agreed upon prior to the wedding. It is unfortunate because we can't do the event over. read more

I am shocked that I am even having to rate them a 1 star! I've always loved their food and services. I've referred friends, family, businesses and schools to use them because I was so impressed by them. Today, sadly, that image has been replaced by a not so great one. I contacted Tracey in regards to having Kanak Attack come out and be a vendor for a 10 year high school reunion. I contacted her the beginning of January and the event was set for June. We corresponded a few times regarding the event and what was needed. Tracey was going to talk with the manager/ owner in regards to the event and get back to me but never did. I am planning this thing on my own with one other person, there is a ton to do. While I waited for her to call me back, I finished up other things that needed finalized. Today, over a month later, I called Tracy to touch base about the event and she informed me that they booked the date we were discussing with somebody else. I was shocked! I was disappointed! I asked her why she would book another about on the date we were inquiring about and she told me that when clients don't keep in contact with her she cannot hold the date. At this point I am confused and upset because I had told her that kanak attack was our top choice and we for sure wanted them at our event. Somehow I did not understand why she would book someone else on our date, especially after talking to her multiple times about it. When I questioned why they booked another event, she got a real fake nice and somewhat catty tone so at that point I just washed my hands of it and hung up. I did not appreciate her trying to lay blame on me when she was the one who was supposed to call me back! I did not appreciate the fact that our event rated so low to her that we were easily looked over for the eagle rodeo. To me, that is not great customer service and then throw the fake nice cattiness on top of everything? Seriously? Little does Tracey know, I gave a lot of business via referrals to kanak attack and I plan on letting my clients, friends and family know about what happened. I'm the first person to over tip good servers and compliment good business men/ women but this truly disappointed and baffled me. I will not be bringing anymore business to them unfortunately and I hope they treat their future customers with more respect and appreciation than they showed me today. read more
