Get a great meal at a price lower than most establishments and help young people gain life skills. What could be a better combination? Check out the chicken sandwich and the Reuben that we had today. Both were delicious. The fries were perfect. The Reuben, while good was not better than Lindy's Lounge or Gil's K-9's. Coming back for the hamburger because from what i saw of the chicken sandwich, the burgers here must be special. This school/restaurant is in a beautiful building that was a Marie Callender's. Best of luck to the students. All day breakfast with service early in the morning. See the menus for all the normal favorites.

My boys and I went here this morning and had a great breakfast! Nicki was our waitress and she was so kind, cheerful (seriously a ball of sunshine!) and amazing with my boys! The food was delicious, minus by Eggs Benedict being a little on the cooler side, but it also had fresh tomato and avocado, so I'm assuming they were the culprits of it not being hot. I added ham to my Cali(?) Benedict and it was a big ole slab! I was impressed! My eggs were cooked to PERFECTION, which I can't say about most places cooking poached eggs. Their sausage patty's were incredible as well! Seriously a

Okay. I'm totally biased but this is my kind of place. It's a totally functional, full on - hands on training facility. "Serving second chances" is their byline. Practical skills and life skills. This is truly putting your money where your mouth is. The service has been good, not exceptional, good. The food has been very good, not exceptional but very good. The facility is spotless, parking is easy. I could overlook a host of errors to support this place, but I don't have to, they didn't exist. Will definitely be back, will definitely recommend to all.

When I read about this place and what they do, knew I had to go check it out. Located in an old Marie Callendar's franchise building, the space is clean and wide open. The seating area is limited and spaced out - flow felt off with so much open space. Not too many people there (at lunchtime on a Tuesday), but I was early. Ordered a reuben with fries and iced tea. Through overheard conservation with staff, I think my server was new. He did great, so did the hostess. Sandwich was okay. If it had a bit more corned beef and a lot more sauerkraut it would of been great. The small serving of fries in the little basket was cute and a portional serving. More customers came in while I was eating, but the environment still felt off and empty. Even though this experience didn't have a 'wow' factor, I'll still go back to support the kids.

Found this place on line by accident but it sure is a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the place is quiet. It's also good to know I help some young people by eating here. The only down side is the menu is limited, business hours is limited. As they are still learning, the service may be slower. Be patient, you will not be disappointed.

This is a great program. At-risk youth enroll for a 16-week program that teaches them culinary skills and life skills meant to help them find jobs and keep them. At the same time, they operate a lunchtime restaurant that serves between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Each week features a different menu. Today, I ordered a bowl of Vietnamese pho. It's the best in Boise, yet only available this week. Flavorful broth, rice noodles, beef and served with Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime wedges and sriracha sauce. Friendly service by the students and they really appreciate you coming in. The downside is that they're somewhat hidden across Capitol Boulevard from the Boise State campus. Look for the Boise police cars in the front of the building and Life's Kitchen is around the side on the north side of the building.

Always get great food and service here. The pumpkin rolls and pecan bars we purchased for Thanksgiving were the best.

We popped in here to ask about options and the woman working the counter, mom of this franchise owner I think, was so helpful in answering them. A very good introduction to the business. We will drop in again to try a small box for 2 as takeaway to pair with a glass of wine as casual picnic sometime at a local winery. But in general we are like that couple in Portlandia, you know the "Tell us a little bit about your chicken" people (if you don't know the bit I'll post a link below because when it first aired friends said "This is YOU" :-) ) and so we are more Olympia Provisions for charcuterie and local cheeses types. As example, we eat a mostly plant based diet and when we do eat animal proteins we buy them directly from local sustainable practice farmers. Which is no knock on this business,as they use good quality products, she brought some out to show us when we asked and these are better than you will likely get if you're picking up grocery store or big box store charcuterie trays. We also appreciated that as they can they use local veg and fruits here when those are on the trays. OPTIONS: Sizes range from a single serving "cup" ($8) to a box to feed two ($12) to boxes of other sizes and trays of multiple sizes with the top end of that designed to feed roughly 10 ($165). Photo boards in the shop show how the options are put together and a display over the counter shows prices. They offer Keto board options, Vegetarian Board options, Luxury options, Sweet Treat options that include fruit and chocolate and so on. You can also find general menu at the main company link here: https://www.grazecraze.com/menu CONVENIENT LOCATION: for picking up your order because they have a private parking lot associated with the strip mall in which they're location. For 'orientation', this is in the same complex as The Local. Also convenient location in Garden City as there are at least three, maybe as many as five, nearby winery tasting rooms where one can bring in their own eats and the grazing boxes would work well for that. ACCESSIBILITY: Parking lot has accessible (aka ADA compliant) parking which happy coincidence is just outside the door of this business. Shop is all on one level. "TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR CHICKEN..." BIT: His name is Colin. ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErRHJlE4PGI

Rooster's Eatery and Catering - Loving the roosters

My Rooster's bomb had amazing flavors, the sandwich was dripping with juice while eating it. Service was good. Food presentation wasn't nice, just plain but it isn't a high end restaurant. Restaurant environment was kinda plain, but clean. Bathrooms were clean, but the paper towel dispenser didn't work. We would go back 100%.

Roosters has been on my list of breakfast joints to check out. Since we were in the area we stopped…read morein today for breakfast. Walking in, the joint is very bright and big! There's a lot of tables and bar type seating at the window. I loved the country type decor and all the roosters everywhere. It's a really cute venue. If I had to describe this restaurant, I would compare it to a cafeteria. You place your order and everything from that point on is self serve. We placed our order at the front register. I got the 2 eggs combo with sausage. My husband got the ham breakfast sammy with sourdough. We grabbed a table and our drinks while our food was being worked on. They has one coffee dispenser for coffee. The coffee looked really dark so I added some hot water to it. Unfortunately, with the addition of the hot water, my coffee was still luke warm. It was drinkable but it would have been nice to have a hot cup of it. My husband grabbed his drink from the soda machine. All of the straws, coffee creamers and utensils were on the side to help yourself to. Food came out pretty fast. My eggs were fried nicely. The sausage was warm but not really hot. The hashbrowns were nicely golden but not really hot. They did give me a good portion of the country gravy. The only thing that was piping hot was the pancake syrup that I got for my sausage. My husband enjoyed his sammy. He did appreciate that the ham was sliced thin and it wasn't a huge chunk of ham. After you're done, they have you clear off your own plates, silverware and cups. Tipping throws me off at this point cause what are we tipping you for? They don't fill got drinks, remove any of your plates or even check up on you. It truly is like a cafeteria. I guess I had a different impression of this joint. I thought it would be like any other breakfast joint in town. Roosters is a easy going venue if you're looking for an easy place to eat at. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably won't be back.
