So the garlic French fries were the opening act for our meal, and were so incredibly delicious we inhaled them on the way home. The perfect level of seasoning with a kick of garlic! Hot, crispy, soft on the inside. My mouth is watering as I think about them. My husband had the chicken sandwich, their cluckin' good Sando, and he didn't breathe once while eating. He claims it was on par with the French fries, but I wouldn't know as he didn't share! I was afraid to break his concentration while eating, as I might have lost an arm. I had the Atlantic salmon cake sandwich, which was down right delicious. The cake was crispy and fresh. Matched with the cilantro lime slaw, it was a pair made in heaven. I shared a bite of mine, reluctantly I might add, and my husband wanted to steal another bite. Brussel sprouts were crispy and had a good kick of salt. We will forever be on the lookout for this food truck fishing delectable dishes. Highly recommend

Fried Artichoke Hearts w/ Buttermilk Herb Ranch and Lemon Wedge

Bistro Babe Tonight, I had a chance to visit one of my favorite food trucks in the Treasure Valley. I ordered the Reuben sandwich ($10) and the Crispy Artichoke Hearts with House Ranch ($5). I love a great Reuben sandwich and had been craving one for a couple of months now, so it was kismet finding it on tonight's menu. This Reuben is a classic with sliced pastrami, melted Swiss cheese, house thousand Island dressing and sauerkraut on Zeppole rye bread. It was delicious! The bread was perfectly grilled, with cheesy pastrami goodness oozing out the side. The Crispy Artichoke Hearts are the perfect appetizer. The slight tang of the artichoke goes perfectly with the salty crunch of the batter. Normally this is served with a wedge of lemon, which really enhances the flavor, but I think they forgot it on my order tonight. Even so, this appetizer has so much flavor that I didn't miss it much. I think this appetizer would go perfectly with an ice cold beer. Bistro Babe's menu changes frequently. They have begun posting their monthly menu on their Facebook page. The best way to keep track of Bistro Babe's whereabouts is to follow them on Facebook, Instagram and StreetFoodFinder, the free app for food trucks. Highly Recommended!!!

Wow wow wow! We grabbed the Italian Pressed sandwich, the El Jefe, and the fries. Without question, this is the best food truck we've eaten from in the entire state of Idaho, and we've lived here for 10+ years. I don't think there's another food truck like it that I know of. The fries are better than any other I've had, be that from a burger dive or high end steakhouse. I'd find this truck again just for the fries and fry sauce. The sandwiches are loaded with flavor (and portions). I could only eat half of my sandwich, but maybe that's because I gorged on the fries. The sandwiches coming out of this truck are some of the best I've had. On top of the food, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and very covid-conscientious. The service was relatively fast, especially considering the quality of the food. My only regret about this truck is not knowing about it sooner.

Last night at the Illumibrate we had the salmon and artichoke sandwich and grilled cheese sandwich that they won the award for with grilled onions and house made thousand island last night. We wanted the garlic fries but they had sold out. So we got the cauliflower. Every thing was FANTASTIC! I googled to see if they had a permanent bistro because I wanted to go again . I hope one day they get a store front.

I really wish I could have started my first experience with this donut joint off with he apple…read morefritter. I stopped in the next day to grab my pre ordered apple fritters. Honestly, at that moment in time, I wasn't even excited for the fritters after having such a dry donut the day before. I asked for 1 fritter to be in a box and the other 3 to be in another. The gal that helped me the day before opened the window, didn't greet me, stared at me which was an awkward interaction. I told her I was there to pick up my fritters and her response was "I know". Yes, you know but I didn't know if you remembered..... A sweet gal popped up with my boxes. Explained to me which box was what and sent me on my way. I got my goods and made my way home. When I was picking up the boxes, I noticed the warmth of the box and the weight. I can tell these were going to be heavy weight fritters. Opening the box, this baby was huge! Perfectly glazed from top to bottom. My husband took his first bite. He was very happy with the fritter. I took a chunk and was very delighted at how sweet, crunchy and delicious this fritter was. The middle was soft and airy. The exterior of the fritter was crispy and crunchy even though there was a glaze over it. The cinnamon and apple chunks were in every bite. It was a fantastic apple fritter! My husband was greedy and ate a majority of it. I'm happy I got a nice chunk of it to try out. The donut and fritter was night and day. I'm happy that I got to experience the hype of the apple fritter that everyone had raved about! Believe the hype! The apple fritters here were money. If I could do half stars, this visit would have been 4.5 but it's going to be a 4. My first initial interaction with the first gal wasn't the best. You deal with a ton of different people everyday, how was I to know you knew what I was there for if you don't say anything to me? A simple "we are grabbing your fritters" would have been cool but I got stared at. I'm assuming the gal that gave me my order was the person in charge. Professional, sweet and great line of communication. I don't know when I'll be back for another round of goodies but if someone asks where they could get some fabulous fritters, I'll be suggesting this joint for sure.

That's a Manna's donut. I've been having donuts here on a weekly basis since they opened and the donuts are just perfection. They never feel heavy, or greasy, or have that old fryer taste that some donuts have. The price, just $1.99 for the standards, is fair given the size and quality. I love this place. They have standard cake and raised, old-fashioned, fritters, and usually some fancy flavors. Please support this great family!
