By far and away the best craft burger I have ever had in the State of Idaho. Sids, Wyld Child,…read moreHoly Cow used to be up there for Idaho, but no more. The burger and fries are the closest thing to heaven I've ever had, and you won't want to miss them right now. I honestly don't know how they do it. Note, that this means this is the best burger in the state, it is the best burger in comparison to any in California or any other surrounding state. There was not a bad bite. It is as if Jesus has blessed the chef and your taste buds, it is a literal masterpiece. Everything is made with care, you will experience euphoria and what a burger made with care actually tastes like. Juds, Big Bun, the new In N' Out Burger, are good in their own respect, but not even the same echelon as Hood Burger. Hood Burger is on top of the pyramid, everything else is just ok. Everything is made to perfection. I am not sure if it is because they are in a food truck and not an upscale restaurant, but these guys truly care about their product. If you want a cheap burger with the typical result go to one of the other local places, if you want the best burger for around $15 go now. Like get up and go, what are you doing still reading this, go.

The burger was oversized the bun got mushy fast, flavor sub par. Expecting a nice juicy burger, not as amazing as I was expecting. The fries were good. Good tasting beef and good ingredients at this place. Nothing beats smash alley thus far.

The menu has a few things you can order from burritos, tacos, tortas and other fun items. We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and it has rice, beans, meat of choice & lettuce and avocado it was pretty good. We got some tacos as well and not sure if she mixed up another ordered but we were short 3 tacos on our order and that was a bummer.. I was really looking forward to them. Their asada, carnitas, el pastor were all really good and authentic flavor and loved that the pastor had the pineapple chunks as well. One thing I did dislike was I asked about chips order and it said $5 when I asked her if I can just have a couple, she was a bit confused and asked the lead there. Apparently they didn't have chips in their truck and had to go find them. That should have been my no thank you but I figured ohh let's give them a try. Once we got to our house and saw the $5 chips I was honestly a bit upset they were store bought nacho chips. Tacos are $2.50 I don't understand why chips are $5 and they aren't even like your traditional Mexican chips or something along those lines. That was my only downfall to this place but those are just chips. Their food was honestly good no doubt about it when we were ordering they had a few people eating there and a few to go orders. Maybe take them off the menu or make little baggies and purchase chips from a Mexican store or make your own tostadas..

And, the dogs are allowed to meander around with us, which makes everything so much easier. You can bring a blanket and sit on the hill, listen to live music, pick your poison for lunch, and enjoy all the people. They have different food trucks come in every week, so there's always something different for lunch, or to snack on. And, let's not forget that it's just beautiful, and feels so good to be outside. Did I already mention it's on the Greenbelt....the river is right there! It doesn't really get much better than this in Boise. Stop for lunch, enjoy on the weekend, or just drop in for a break during your afternoon Greenbelt walk. Just do it.
