Just made this restaurant one of my favorites. My husband and I both loved the delicious bowl of caldo de pollo we each ordered. It came with a leg quarter, cut up cubed vegetables like squash or zucchini, carrots, celery and cabbage. Plus accompanied by some nice thin and warm corn tortillas. I also added a side of avacado for our corn tortillas. For dessert we each ordered a most delicious cafe de olla. So delicious, we could distinctly taste the rich coffee mixed with warm cream and canela spice poured in a Mexican jarrito cup. For dessert my husband and I also ordered and shared a blue berry muffin that our waitress kindly ordered warned up and slightly toasted, just as we requested.. We've driven by this place several times and decided to give it a try. Food was great, my wife's Rueben was tasty and the bread was toasted just right. My Rooster's bomb had amazing flavors, the sandwich was dripping with juice while eating it. Service was good. Food presentation wasn't nice, just plain but it isn't a high end restaurant. Restaurant environment was kinda plain, but clean. Bathrooms were clean, but the paper towel dispenser didn't work. We would go back 100%. read more

Roosters has been on my list of breakfast joints to check out. Since we were in the area we stopped in today for breakfast. Walking in, the joint is very bright and big! There's a lot of tables and bar type seating at the window. I loved the country type decor and all the roosters everywhere. It's a really cute venue. If I had to describe this restaurant, I would compare it to a cafeteria. You place your order and everything from that point on is self serve. We placed our order at the front register. I got the 2 eggs combo with sausage. My husband got the ham breakfast sammy with sourdough. We grabbed a table and our drinks while our food was being worked on. They has one coffee dispenser for coffee. The coffee looked really dark so I added some hot water to it. Unfortunately, with the addition of the hot water, my coffee was still luke warm. It was drinkable but it would have been nice to have a hot cup of it. My husband grabbed his drink from the soda machine. All of the straws, coffee creamers and utensils were on the side to help yourself to. Food came out pretty fast. My eggs were fried nicely. The sausage was warm but not really hot. The hashbrowns were nicely golden but not really hot. They did give me a good portion of the country gravy. The only thing that was piping hot was the pancake syrup that I got for my sausage. My husband enjoyed his sammy. He did appreciate that the ham was sliced thin and it wasn't a huge chunk of ham. After you're done, they have you clear off your own plates, silverware and cups. Tipping throws me off at this point cause what are we tipping you for? They don't fill got drinks, remove any of your plates or even check up on you. It truly is like a cafeteria. I guess I had a different impression of this joint. I thought it would be like any other breakfast joint in town. Roosters is a easy going venue if you're looking for an easy place to eat at. Checked this place out a few weeks back. Buddy of mine used to teach a class at a gym not far from here. Ok, this is my old neighborhood. Until his class, I neverrrr went over here. So when he was teaching his class, I'd drive by this place every week and think...I really wanna try this place. So one morning, after we did a totally different class over there, a friend and I wanted to go eat and I mentioned this place. So finally...after a long time, I made my way into Roosters. Like always, I ordered a waffle. I like to find the best waffles at breakfast places. I'm a super picky eater, so I'm limited lol. Was this the best waffle? Nah. It was good tho. I don't put anything on there except butter. They sure did bring me like 3 or 4 balls of butter..basically frozen lol. Lawdy! When will restaurants learn to stopppp doing that with butter. Yes, I'm fully aware most meals that can have butter on them are served warm. Y'all know how hard it is tho to spread frozen butter on a fn waffle hahaha! Or worse...on pancakes lol. I still liked this place tho. My friend said her sandwich was good. She didn't rave about it or complain about it. So the both of us left satisfied. Would I go again? Sure, why not. I've definitely been to places a million times worse than this...and this place wasn't even bad. There was just something missing. I can't quite put my finger on it. Staff was so friendly. They really were all nice people. The most place itself is large. So unless it's like Saturday or Sunday morning and the place is crazy packed...you won't have a hard time finding a spot to sit. I imagine they do good business every day tho. I hope they do. I'm guessing this is a chain, too? Not sure. It's sure not a local mom and pop type of place. I usually prefer them over chains any day, but as mentioned, I've been wanting to try here. I thought too that it was like brand new. She was like..nah, we've been here for over 2 years. What a charming place to grab a quick breakfast. Lots of variety to choose from including breakfast burritos, breakfast pitas and avocado toast. I ordered the avocado toast and enjoy the flavor (how ever I was disappointed that there was no egg on my dish). The service was quick and friendly. They have "Online Ordering (for a fee) and never have the order ready nor even at the location. The now lie and say the printer is broken...THEN SHUT DOWN THE ONLINE ORDERING!!! it's a cash scam!!! My friend and I have had this happen over 20 times each. I no longer give away my $! read more

So disappointed. My husband and I I use to come get sausage breakfast burritos ALL the time here a couple years ago and it was our fave place for it. I live farther now and have been dying to get the sausage breakfast burrito again and swung by to get it today.. I bit into and the whole entire burrito was HASHBROWNS. I didn't taste more than 3 little pieces of sausage in my burrito (not exaggerating) there was NO EGGS.. it was all effing hashbrowns! I couldn't believe it. I was beyond disappointed and would have went in to bring it back if I didn't have a dr appt to be at. Kept eating it figuring maybe all the eggs and sausage was in the second half but it was hashbrowns only all the way down to the bottom. This was enough for me to not ever come back. It's a simple place, no waitress, you order with a person at front. The food was fresh and well prepared. Husband had the veggie burrito (it was large) and I had one egg, sausage, hash-browns and sourdough toast. It was all prepared perfectly. No decaf coffee though! Bill was $20. The food is decent, not anything super special. The automatic charging of "tips" is out of line. The customer decides if they are going to tip, not the business. Absolutely out of line. They don't tell you they charged a tip until you get your receipt. You also can not place an online order for pick up WITHOUT putting in a tip. read more

This was a mixed bag for me. My sandwich was just so-so (a bit dry). It's possible I just ordered the wrong thing. From a presentation perspective, it poked fine, and the chips were good, but there was nothing that popped out to me as unique or compelling enough to make me revisit. This place is great..... If you like great drip coffee, it's good Dawson Taylor (if they don't run out, it's happened the two times we've come here). Other than that the food is tiny portioned, with big portion prices. That said, this place has huge potential, food is good, lobby is mostly nice but is missing something to make it pop. I ordered 2 eggs, and oatmeal. The oatmeal was $8 and some change... it is hospital quality food. I'm upset I paid that much for awful oatmeal. I was in a bind though, couldn't eat at home I was on the go. $8 for oatmeal? What? For what? I appreciate higher end prices for a quality meal but this was bad. I'm actually upset about it. Yes I wanted to go home to make myself oatmeal but I couldn't. This eatery is easily accessible with a large parking lot and has a ton of seating inside. The restaurant was super clean and the staff were friendly. Upon entering, you will need to look towards the ceiling to find three display screens that clearly show the menu. I did feel the display screens were too high and uncomfortable to read if at the counter as you must step back to read the menu. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch style food. I stopped in for lunch this time. I ordered the Bomb sandwich and asked for homemade chips for lunch. The food is made fresh upon order and took about 5 minutes. The sandwich arrived nice and hot with very fresh bread. The sandwich was full of meat as described with a good amount of cheese. The sandwich had great taste with the nice addition of grilled onions. The homemade chips were crispy but were lacking greatly in seasoning. Bummed about the chips. This was my first visit to this new local business and I was very pleased. An excellent menu selection that is very reasonably priced. My order of biscuits and gravy was awesome! Lots of sausage with a creamy gravy for the tasty biscuits to soak up. My bacon was cooked to order and just how I requested - not crispy. The Dawson Taylor coffee capped off a great breakfast. We used Rooster's catering service for a business meeting. We liked the idea of their box lunches as it would make it easy for the employees traveling to grab their meal and hit the road. When I placed my order, I advised them that we needed it delivered by 11:45 would that be a problem, no, we can make it at 11:45. Noon rolls around, no food. I call and was advised that they had three other deliveries so they are a little behind. Not my problem. They will call driver to find out ETA and get back to me with update. I advise that we have employees that have to leave and catch their flights. 12:15, I call them back because no one called me back with an update. Advised he's not answering his phone because he must be driving however, he should be there really soon. 12:30 he finally shows up. While the meals were all pretty good, the bread to go with the salads were cold and hard. Several employee had to leave without their lunch. My issue is when you advise a customer that you will have the food to them by 11:45, then keep to your word. If you knew that you had too many deliveries for one person, advise the customer when taking their order that it may be later than specified time. If I was told that information, I would have taken my business elsewhere. 5-10 minutes late, understandable. 45-minutes late, not acceptable. read more

Stopped here today. Heard it was good sandwich shop. I got the carved turkey sandwich on sourdough. It was dry and needed more mayo or something. Meat was fine but expensive for a 1/2 sandwich. The other party I was with got the hot chicken club and said it was fairly good. I also had pasta salad which I would say was ok as well. Fry's were just bag fries.
