Had some amazing rolls at sushi shack! They have a little smaller of a variety. Not as many basic rules, but I will say that all of the specialty rolls we had were really great! My favorite was the holy Cali roll. If you're a fan of beer on top, they had 40 different varieties that my friends enjoyed the peaches and cream as well as the blueberry lemon Sauer. Had a great atmosphere and if the weather is nice, you can even go sit outside on the patio. Sushi shack has great reviews and an excellent rating on Yelp It's located inside Heritage Hop Haus There were quite a number of locals inside which was great. We looked at the menu then found the sushi menu. Everything was very well plated, the presentation was excellent but it did feel strange eating sushi in a pub. We finished and another couple sat at the bar and wanted sushi but apparently the sushi time was over at 5pm. We were appreciative of the happy hour pricing though. I'm glad weren't late. Perhaps we're just uneducated as to how the Sushi Stack works inside the Heritage shop Haus. I would go again and definitely have some adult beverages. read more

My son was visiting from San Diego. Over the holidays, my wife and I brought he and our daughter here for dinner based on the Google reviews. It was a Friday night about 5:30. Located in downtown Meridian, once you enter, you can upstairs, which was more crowded and open to people of all ages, or downstairs, for those 21 and older. We chose downstairs. There was a cool, cellar vibe, with a low ceiling and tables. We chose a large, round table at the bottom of the stairs. There is no table service; you go to the counter and order. They have a nice beer tap variety. My daughter and I ordered IPAs, mine with a unique, pistachio aftertaste. The bartender was nice. Our son and I ordered poke, my wife had the potstickers, spicy edamame, and miso soup, and our daughter had a roll and some nigiri. This is our favorite sushi in the valley, and we have tried a ton! We always get the Heavy Metal and Mango Dango, but we've tried a bunch of other rolls and they're all delicious. Just the spot that Meridian needs! What appears to be a hole in the wall is a lively bar with rolls and more. Our waiter was top notch, attentive and fast. The cocktails and sushi were great (outside the Idaho roll, skip that one). There is parking on the north side of the building and no reservations needed. read more

Sushi shack is a hidden gem of Meridian! The sushi here tastes great and has a great price point in my opinion. It isn't the best sushi I've ever had but for sushi in the Boise area, I would say it's pretty good! They have a variety of rolls to choose from including classic rolls and specialty rolls. My absolute favorite is the Philly roll, the smoked salmon is hard to beat! I also love their miso soup, it's the perfect starter! We also tried the spicy hoisin wings and really liked them! I will say for $1.50 a wing, they were very small, but they had good flavor. They share a space with a bar downstairs, which is a great spot to head after dinner for drinks! read more

My partner and I think the fingersteaks here are some of the best in the state - we order them off every menu if they're available and judge a restaurant based on them. We like the rotating beer list, and have had some decent (German) Pilsners here, too.
