I came here just trying to catch up with a friend, but honestly? We both got distracted the second the food hit the table. The noodles were perfectly chewy, packed with flavor, and somehow got even better with every bite after mixing everything together.

Parking on Broadway can be a headache, especially on weekends, but i had no trouble finding street parking in the surrounding residential blocks during a weekday dinner time. The space itself is clean and well-designed with a comfortable waiting area for when the line gets long. The vibe is relaxed without being loud. There was no wait at 5:30 and i got seated right away! It started packing up around 6-6:30 :). Staff were warm, genuinely helpful, and patient as we took our time working through the menu. No hovering, no pressure. I went with the homura soba and it did not disappoint. The noodles were springy, chewy, and satisfying, and the ground pork and bamboo shoots were standouts. We also shared the chicken karaage with oroshi and the takoyaki, both solid. I also added a side of two-piece chashu pork for extra protein in my soba which was perfect, I'd do again in a heartbeat. The table condiments (chili oil, garlic flakes, sesame seeds, vinegar) are a nice touch for customizing your bowl, although i recommend being careful with how much you put in there as I got heavy-handed and it turned salty fast. Being right on Broadway also means plenty of dessert spots nearby to round out the meal. I went to salt n straw afterwards and ended the evening perfectly. I'm already eyeing the mushroom soba for my next visit.

Kajiken specializes in aburasoba, which for the uninitiated is like a ramen coated in a greasy sauce with toppings as opposed to a fatty broth. Went with some friends on a Saturday around 6PM and unlike the earlier reviews from when they just opened, there were plenty of tables available and no line. Agedashi Tofu (2.75/5): Really, really bland and the fry was a bit too short and there wasn't really a crisp at all. Homura Aburasoba (3/5): Noodles are solid enough and the fresh herbs are a nice touch. The ground pork was just okay though and generally the sauce was a bit too thin to really carry the flavor. Roast Beef Aburasoba (4/5): Surprisingly enjoyed this more than the signature. Roast beef is actually very tender and the yogurt adds a great bit of tang and creaminess on top of the seasoned egg yolk.

I've given dry ramen a try many times before and did not like it, but I was very pleasantly surprised by Kajiken! We ordered on an iPad and got seated after. It wasn't too crowded, especially compared to a lot of the restaurants in the area. I got the roast beef aburasoba. The sauce was incredible and had so much flavor and was so creamy and savory, especially when mixed in with the raw egg. The noodles were soft and paired nicely with the beef. I was so impressed and would definitely come back!

It was a refreshing experience to eat dry ramen instead of the normal soup ramen. We tried 4 different flavor and I enjoyed the spicy one the most. The beef one with white sauce and lots of green onion was interesting but the sauce was too thick for my liking. The ingredients seemed fresh. Service was quick and courteous. Parking on Friday night was super difficult, there is a little paid lot close to the shop so that can be an option.

Kajiken was seriously amazing. I got the Homura aburosoba and it absolutely hit. I just got back from Japan recently and this dish can honestly compete with the real deal. It tasted legit and did not feel like a watered down version at all. The noodles were perfectly cooked with great texture and sauce coverage. Definitely keep the raw egg in there because it makes everything richer and smoother once you mix it all together. They also have vinegar and chili oil at the table and I highly recommend adding vinegar. It boosts the flavor and balances everything out so well. Service was shockingly fast, like blink and your food is already on the table fast. The vibes were also great. Big glass windows looking out at the park across the street made the space feel open and lively, which is a nice change from cramped noodle spots. Prices are very fair for how good the food is, especially considering the quality and portion size. This is an easy recommend and a place I would happily come back to again when craving aburasoba that actually tastes authentic.

I went on a rainy weekday around 8 pm and we got seated right away! I tried the minced pork ramen which came out less than 5 minutes after I ordered. The egg was cooked perfectly and I liked the noodle texture and thickness. The restaurant is well lit and there was a fair amount of seating. Service is fast and good.

This place blew my mind!!! The ramen bowls were sooo flavorful, not dry at all, and they had a lot of great looking options. We ordered the minced pork and roast beef bowls- both highly rated for good reason. I love how the roast beef ramen bowl came with a yogurt sauce. I also recommend sticking with the raw egg (if ur comfortable!) Each table has various sauces and toppings, like sesame seeds and chili oil, that you can customize your bowl with. The service was quick and friendly, as well. I'll definitely be coming back and I totally recommend!!

While visiting Seattle, I came here for a quick cozy lunch. The seating and service were quick and attentive. While we were here, we ordered the number one bestselling Homura Aburasoba with chives, minced pork, bamboo shoots, curry powder, seaweed, and a bright egg yolk. These noodles were very chewy and well-balanced in terms of umami, acid, salt, and spice. The egg yolk adds a creamy texture to each bite too. We also tried the seasonal Unagi Aburasoba which was a light and delicate sweet and salty flavor. The Unagi and pickled radish were crunchy and flavor-packed. Absolutely recommend!

I was recommended this place by a person who absolutely adores Seattle. I came just in time for their lunch special. I've lived in Korea for a year and visited Japan several times, and I could vouch that this bowl is full of flavor. I ordered their: "HOMURA AURASOBA". HOMURA means like burning fire or intense and SOBA means noodles. So, in other words, it's a noodle dish with intense flavors, but, don't get me wrong, it's not spicy at all! Taste: This dish features spicy minced pork, green onions, bamboo shoots, seaweed, fish powder, chives, and a raw egg yolk (can be substituted with ajitama or a poached egg). I recommend doing the flavored egg. It's only half an egg but it's similar (or maybe the same?) as a ramen style egg with the yolk partially cooked. Super yummy! Parking: Available in front of the restaurant via the PayByPhone mobile app. Super easy to park (parallel not needed). It's $3 for 1 hour. Cost: The lunch special ended up being around $30 in the end. It's a bit pricey for a lunch, but I'm also coming from Korea, where this dish would be 1/2 the price.

Kajiken is known for its aburasoba, and I tried the Homura Aburasoba (spicy minced pork) with a poached egg. I liked it a lot: the sauce was creamy, flavorful, and not overly salty. The noodles had a great chewy texture, and all the toppings worked well together. I was surprised there wasn't a line when I went, since this place usually has one out the door. Service was quick and efficient, and the restaurant has plenty of seating with a warm wooden interior that makes the space feel cozy. Overall, it's a solid spot for a bowl of ramen, and it's still comforting despite being brothless.

There's a reason why we repeat golf here and that's the awesome aburasoba and not to mention their tasty appetizers too! Our go to is the Homura Aburasoba layered with spicy minced pork, bamboo shoots, green onions, fish powder and chives plus a raw or poached egg. I also add a ajitama seasoned egg on the side. For apps this time we got the chicken karaage and takoyaki. Our server was good and our food came out in no time. The interior is surrounded by large windows and mainly tables for two to four people with one large table in the center. It's one of our top eateries in Seattle!

Got there are peak dinner around 7/730pm on a Friday night. Tables were full but people finished quick. Waited a bit outside but waiter offered hot tea while we were in the cold. Ambiance is open, minimalist and bright. We got the top 2 options. The minced pork and bamboo shoots with spring onions were great. Needed more bamboo shoots to break up the texture. Flavor ran more black vinegar and soy sauce-y than the roasted beef one. Beef was think sliced and dry ramen was more creamy than the other one. For both, noodles and flavor were great. Loved the texture of the noodles. Just wish there was more substance to it. The protein felt more like garnish. Karaage was super juicy . I wish I got the regular cause the only regular didnt come through. There was grated ginger all over the top & it was light and airy, which wasn't my personal favorite. It lacked flavor. Needed something to accompany the karaage itself. Food was food, but didnt blow my mind.

I ordered a miso ramen and my parents ordered the tonkatsu ramen. As someone from the Bay Area, I was so surprised by the richness of the ramen and it definitely beats some of my usual spots. The broth wasn't very salty or over complicated itself with a burst of spices, but highlighted the simplicity of a good ramen, tasting the long simmer of the pork.
