Kairos is great! We were craving relatively healthy food and came across this Mediterranean place. It looks like Kairos is a chain local to the south Columbia/Southeast area as it looks like they have multiple locations. We went for the build your own bowl option and it tasted delicious. Fresh ingredients that all pair well together. I really like their selection of in house juices and got the strawberry one. We also got an order of the fries, honestly slapped. The food is served very similar to how Chipotle is setup. There are build-your-own meals as well as standard menu items to choose from. If you're new to Mediterranean food, the people working there are superb. They walk you through everything in a way that isn't condescending (some places haven't learned how to master that skill). My two friends and I all chose to build our own Kairos bowls. As you can see from the photos we each chose a wide range of protein, spreads, and toppings. All three of us cleared our bowls quickly, everything was just so delicious! The restaurant is exceptionally clean and tiny. The style is a modernistic feel of Greece, which felt very refreshing. I am not exaggerating when I say the restroom may have been the cleanest public restroom I've seen in a very, very long time. I used to be a regular at the location on Devine St when I worked nearby, but I've since moved jobs and homes, so I was really excited about the mew location. I wasn't disappointed! Great food, great service, nice atmosphere. Healthy, delicious and plentiful, this build-your-own pita/salad/bowl has fantastic flavors and toppings that will leave you full without feeling weighed down. You can get gyro/chicken/meatballs/spicy harissa chicken/falafel and put it in any configuration and add toppings like Kalamata olives, tomato cucumber salad, grilled onions, feta, taboulli, chickpeas, lettuce and more, and you can add spreads like hummus, baba ganoush, tzatziki and spicy harissa. Add dressings like vinaigrette or harissa creating a delicious and high end meal for a lower price. The sides are great too! Plain fries are my go-to, but you can also get chips and spread, feta fries or falafel. They have specialty drinks like Maine Root Soda, Mexicana soda, turmeric tea, lavender lemonade, cucumber water, and regular sweet/unsweetened tea. They have kid's meals too. read more

Admittedly, I purposefully drove out of the way to try out Kairos. I'm a huge Greek food fan, so this seemed like the perfect place to go. The ordering is simple and designed like a Subway or Chipotle where you can build your own bowl, salad, pita, etc. The workers were very helpful in crafting a gyro and also suggested I try the Feta Fries. The lamb in the gyro was so incredibly tender and savory. Their homemade tzatziki sauce along with the roasted red peppers and onions really tied in the whole dish. It was a perfect blend of flavors that seemed very authentic to the Mediterranean atmosphere. The Feta Fries were absolutely amazing! It's pretty much just fries with Greek salad dressing and feta cheese sprinkled on top, but it was fries like I've never experienced before! The dressing was a little overpowering, but the feta helped to cut through the bite of the dressing and rounded out the flavor quite well. It was served piping hot from the fryer, so that added a nice touch as well. read more

As far as chain restaurants go You cannot beat Karios . Always a good meal here but my favorite is the Minga salad . They make it anyway you like but I prefer them to make them way like the photo. Absolutely fantastic eats here . Friendly staff too. read more

I tried Kairos off Harbison a couple of days ago and was really impressed with falafel gyro and their food. Their homemade pickled onions are so good and the tzatziki sauce was great on their Gyros. I ordered a falafel pita with no regrets. It was delicious down to the last bite with quality ingredients and food prep. The staff was friendly and informative. The ambiance was adequate, nothing memorable, but the tables were far enough apart that you weren't on top of others while eating or talking. I rate this place higher than it's rival, Cava. We just moved to the area and stopped in here after working on moving in to our house. The staff was very helpful guiding us through ordering. I got the Street Pita and my wife got a platter that was loaded with samples of almost everything they had. We also got an order of feta fries to share. I will give Kairos a 10/10!! Food, service everything is pretty great. I've been to both locations on Harbsion and Devine St! I enjoy both the pita and the pita bowl and usually always build it myself... their spicy chicken and lamb is to die for and all those fresh toppings they offer are also a plus!! Only thing I would say is a con is the drink selection, they have a odd selection of drinks not the normal fountain beverages but I do love their lavender lemonade!! Definitely try Kairos if you love Mediterranean. read more
