This is the serving line. Very unappetizing.
Lawrence B.

I like Cava, I frequent the restaurant couple times a week. The service is generally good unless you run into a server being extra skimpy on portions. However, the more I go to not only this establishment but others in different states. I find the serving line a mess. Bits of food slung everywhere. Looks very unhealthy and sickening. Management has to do better before someone gets sick. This particular day I just ordered some chips and a drink.

Super quick pickup. Clean and not noisy inside. Food was bomb, but they were out of a few things. Portion size made up for it though. It's so much food and was very filling.

I was first introduced to Cava at their Gainesville location, and I'm such a fan of this spot for quick and healthy eats on the fly. They offer a variety of bowls, pitas, sides (mostly pita chips and dips), and desserts (cookies and brownies). I typically opt for a bowl. They have a variety of signature bowls, or you can customize them. I opted to customize their greens and grain bowl, which was fresh, fabulous, and just what I needed for a quick and healthy lunch. Get to it!

I ordered the harissa avocado bowl. I opted for brown rice instead of the saffron rice. I added fiery broccoli, double Persian cucumbers, and cabbage slaw--and avocado of course!. I got the yogurt dill and crazy feta on the side. Now I'm no longer a fan of feta cheese but it the crazy feta is so so good. It taste like cream cheese mixed with sour cream with a spicy Kick (maybe jalapeño) ! The harissa chicken is really good as well, if you don't like spicy I would suggest not getting it. Everything was fresh and it was clean inside. I first got the pineapple apple mint drink and I did not like it at all. I then went for the classic lemonade. Definitely one of the best lemonades I've tasted. It reminds me of the lemonade sold at the fair. Lastly, the pita chips are good. They wee salty with a hint of sweetness... a light crunch on the outside but ultimately chewy. I would likely just order the bowl in the future. Tip: even if the bowl is made a certain way (ex:with avocado) make sure they put it on there .

This place replaced Zoe's Kitchen, and the setup is like Chipotle but Mediterranean! You can get a grains bowl, salad, or pita. They have combinations assembled for you, or you can choose your own fillings based on the ingredients available. We got the sweet + spicy chicken pita, spicy chicken + avocado pita, pita chips, crazy feta dip, and harissa dip. Everything was scrumptious, but the star of the show was the pita chips! They were crunchy, chewy, and well seasoned. The dips were a nice touch. The crazy feta is whipped feta, jalepeno, onion, and olive oil. The pita's have interesting ingredients like pickled onions and balsamic date vinaigrette, and the tastes work together beautifully. Not sure when this location, opened, but the service was good. The guy making our order took $3 off my husband's pita because they had just run out of avocados. I was asked a substitute for romaine because it is in low supply. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Outdoor seating is available and the bathroom was clean. For the two of us to eat was $40. That included the drink, which was delicious. We had Blueberry Lavender and Lemonade, and there were some other unique drinks. Will return to try a grains bowl. Great option for healthy food. Vegetarian options available.

A must try!

Cava: Harissa Avocado Bowl. The food was fresh and delicious I ate the whole bowl. So many flavors i recommend you ditch Chipotle and give Cava a try for the same prize you get something much flavorful. Every bite has flavor. I went to the one on this location: 10296 Two Notch Rd Suit 1, Columbia SC 29229

Really good food and great service. The ambiance is clean and open. The doors could be wiped but overall good experience.

From the moment we stepped inside we were treated like family or close friends of the owner. The owner works in the kitchen but greeted us at the counter and helped answer all of our questions. He is extremely passionate about his food and you can tell he takes great pride in it through every delicious bite. Due to covid , they have limited staff and no servers but their dining room is still open. We thought we would be picking our food up at the counter. Nope, the owner graciously served us and would not accept anything less. The owner apologized for the way covid has impacted how they do business (which he did not need to do) and he was overall just a very genuine and pleasant guy. He even offered us complimentary damascus bread and baklava. Here's what we tried: -Damascus bread and hummus - the damascus bread was light and crisp with sesame seeds sprinkled on top and drizzled with olive oil. It was a perfect pairing with the hummus. The hummus was some of the best I have ever had. Creamy , with a hint of paprika. -Chicken, kufta and veggies special over yellow rice with a Greek salad. Flavorful, tender and delicious!! It was so good. The owner also brought us some tzatziki sauce and a spicy tobasco based sauce. Both sauces complimented the meats well . The owner asked us how we liked the spicy sauce to which we replied how great it was and he then brought us some to take home. It's delicious so definitely order some on the side! -Baklava - this heavenly Baklava combined honey-soaked layers of flaky phyllo pastry with chopped nuts. It was very good. You gotta try this place - you will not regret it. Everything about our dining experience was perfect and I will be back every time I am in Columbia!!

I've been a frequent diner…read moreof this place for years while I resided downtown, but now that I'm a little ways out, it's a treat to dine here, but still really enjoy their food nonetheless. I've always gone with and recommend the chicken kebab. It comes with about 4-5 pieces of grilled chicken, yellow rice, vegetables, and side of tzatziki sauce. The grilled flavor of the chicken just mixes so well with the rice, so having that clean "chicken & rice" meal while maintaining the awesome flavors. The menu is pretty diverse, despite Mediterranean being their speciality. They offer other American dishes like burgers or even pizza; never tried them though, but options are there to diversify. Right now due to Ramadan, their hours are adjusted for dining in, so they stop seating people around 7:30pm. To go orders are the only option; not a big deal for me though. I highly recommend people to try this place out if they haven't; seriously a solid 4 star dining establishment!

I was not too impressed with my trip to DiPratos, which was disappointing because it had been…read morerecommended to me by several different people, and I was excited to try it out. I came in a few minutes after 10:00 a.m., the time they open, and while I don't expect a restaurant to be in tip-top shape the second they open, they did not seem at all ready for the day or to accept customers. I stood at the front for a few awkward moments before asking one of the hostesses if I was supposed to seat myself, when she replied "oh no, I'll seat you", and then led me to one of the nearby tables. Somewhat grossly, the tablecloth on the table I was seated at was covered with coffee stains from previous guests, which was kind of unsettling. I then asked for a cup of coffee, and was told that there wasn't any ready, and that I would need to wait a few minutes. Again, not a huge deal, but I would expect a breakfast restaurant to have some coffee ready by the time that they open. Second, when perusing the menu, I was not particularly impressed by their "limited breakfast" options, nor anything on their regular menu. I decided to go with a simple hot dog, and substituted the offered sides with an order of French fries, which ridiculously cost me almost $4 extra. In addition, my hot dog was fine, but nothing exceptional, and definitely not better than one I could've gotten at Costco for a markedly cheaper price. The one (1) bright spot was that the fries were very good, and of higher quality than most other fries I've gotten at similar restaurants. Finally, my server was nice enough, but a little rough around the edges and not overly attentive. In addition, the ambiance was pretty basic, with nothing about it that really stuck out. All-in-all, I wouldn't be adverse to returning to DiPratos on a Saturday or Sunday to try their breakfast menu, but I won't be coming back during the week, and wouldn't really recommend that anybody else do so either.

I've only tasted their pimento cheese at the festival and the original is phenomenal! I'd purchase…read moreagain. Friendly staff! I'd definitely check out their restaurant/deli soon!
