A year ago I moved from Carlsbad to Fallbrook. Honestly I was assuming I'd still have to go to Carlsbad regularly to buy dog food (I refuse to buy it online) but finding Kahoots Pet Store has been the very best part of my move here. Liz, Mary, Trevor, Ash and Jonathan (sorry if I missed anyone) are incredible...knowledgeable and helpful always but also super supportive. In December my 14 yr old rescue got a 1st time ever health issue - she had literally never been to a vet. I was so worried and stressed and not trusting the suggested treatments from the vet here in town when I did take her out of desperation. I became 'The Customer from Hell'; for weeks on end I was going into Kahoots gathering information and even trying different products the staff had carefully screened, taken trainings about or used on their own pets. It took a few months but Chai did recover albeit the experience energetically wiped her (and me!) out. I've always fed my dogs part high end kibble and part raw but finally I felt convinced by the staff at Kahoots to go all raw. Also, I now totally get it: 'high end' and 'kibble' in the same sentence is oxymoronic. Just this last month we made the complete switch to Tucker's Raw...Chai loves it; she has never had a softer, shinier coat or brighter, clearer eyes. She has her energy back again and I expect her to be with me for a number of more healthy, happy years :-) Kahoots you rock. P.S. Just was in there with my 1 yr old puppy. Had a little accident which I immediately picked up with bags I had on had. Wanted to do a thoughtful and thorough job and approached the counter for paper towels and cleaning solution. Instantly was confronted by a female employee that was rude and dumbfounded that this could happen in a pet store. I made a light comment that she shouldn't be surprised. We purchased a pet cage for our growing puppy, toys and training treats. It's nice to know that there is a local pet store if we are in need of something. Purchased a flea cooler Seresto from here for about 80 dollars. This was the second time we had purchased one from this store. The collar worked the first time the dogs had no apparent fleas. This second time it was purchased the dogs were fresh from the groomers in town. We purchased the same collars as the first time & out them on the dogs, but we woke up with fleas in our bed. So the collar was clearly not working. We went back thinking they would understand this expensive collar was not working probably due to a manufacturing defect and simply exchange it for one that was working. They did not nor did they care! They asked if we still had the packaging?! Are you serious? Let me dig this trash that I no longer need out of my trash can so you can take this defective collar back! Most absurd thing I have ever heard. Who keeps trash like an empty tin canisters in their home? Sorry I am not a hoarder, once I take something out of the packaging the packaging is trash! So happy this pet store is located in fallbrook! This is where we get our food for our French bulldogs. I love their brand kibble - the salmon one is the bag we buy. Sometimes we like getting their canned food too. Our pups like the brown rice and chicken. I am also a fan of their bully sticks. Be sure to ask which ones are the less smelly ones if that's something you care about. They also carry Stella and chewy which is another favorite we feed our pups. Wow, I used to shop at Kahoots in Fallbrook quite a bit. The quality has definitely gone down since their manager, Lauren, left the store. Ever since the quality has gone down, I've stopped going there and decided to go to the Kahoots in Temecula, despite it being out of the way. The people there are nicer and welcoming. There's also an employee at the Fallbrook Kahoots that seems like he's high or drugged up the few times I've been in there. If I remember, his name is Steve. He was just acting really weird, and so I was grateful when he wasn't the one that rung me up. I'd recommend just shopping at a different Kahoots. Kahoots Fallbrook, I have been a customer since the fallbrook store opened. Those that know me know I'm like Dr. Doolittle as I have a zoo of animals in my home. Kahoots is NOT requiring customers to wear masks. I was recently there, the vaccine clinic tech was NOT wearing her mask, she walked around and went about her interactions with customers and staff with the mask protecting the bottom of her chin. Employees do wear masks and they disinfect the register area after every customer. Thank you Kahoots staff!! However customers are not required to wear them in the store. I will NO longer bring my business to your store for the ignorant disregard and lack of consideration. SHAME ON YOU!! read more

Went there without a clue on what to us for my new pups. Never really had dogs. Noah helped me and was so knowledgeable and honest. Told me things I did and didn't need. You have such a great employee having Noah working for you. I only knocked down 1 star due to when I first walked in the 2 girls were too busy discussing person conversation. Not really used to that in Fallbrook. I was getting frustrated an Noah came to help. I told him I would bring the pups to get the proper harness leader. So when I got back and asked for him they seemed very irritated. Should have knocked down another star for this and Noah is the only reason I won't. My friend lost her dog on 4th of July as many do. She put up a lost poster on their window and before she even walked away a female employee took it down. I understand if people can't post on shop windows without permission but they could have left it up for a day at least. There is a small old town community feel here in Fallbrook and this could have been avoided. read more
