I come here a lot for my pups and occasionally get feed (treats) for my daughter and son-in law's chickens. They have a lot to offer for your pets. Not only do they offer animal food they have plenty of toy options for your dog or cat, and supplements as well. A variety of food containers for horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and even hummingbirds can be found here as well. I have found useful necessities for my garden as well. Any pesky critters invading your garden you may find something here to remedy that issue. I have seen garden fertilizers here but have not used any of them as of yet. You can even find helpful needs at the register for yourself, such as a compact flashlight, hand care lotion etc.. I find the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable when ever I have a question about my garden or pet needs. Note: The business is not open on Sundays. For my wild bird feeders, Fallbrook Feed sold me poor quality sunflower seed and totally inedible nyjer seed. I spend $100+ and when I brought it back they shrugged their shoulders. This place sold me a bag of dog food that had been recalled. The staff refused to acknowledge it, despite me bringing in a list of the recalled bags when I came to return it. They made the return process difficult, and expressed no remorse for their mistake. The other recalled bags are still on the shelf. Be sure you're checking the codes for yourself because this establishment does not care about your dog. I added a photo of the email exchange I had with the food company that confirms the bag I got was recalled. They'll be in touch with you soon. I did not have the receipt, but I brought my bank statement that showed the exact amount of purchase and the date. Your staff chose to make it difficult & deny me a refund on a technicality. At the end of the day, I am a lot more concerned with the safety of the animals who could get sick from recalled food than I am about the money. read more

I went in here to look specifically for some K9 treats. The manufacture website stated that they were carried in this store. I looked all around, and I saw the same brand for horses, and I asked about it. I was informed that if I wanted to wait three weeks, they could order them in, but otherwise they would not carry them. This is understandable, as I realize that this is a fairly large equestrian town, and probably the horse supplies sell a lot better than the K9 supplies, HOWEVER, the way I was spoken down to by this woman was very unpleasing. If I were to say she were rude, that would be an understatement. However, I did notice the dog food I buy at Kahoots is about $20 cheaper here, and I will continue to pay the higher price because well, who wants to shop at a store where they are rude. We drive out there from Oceanside to buy poultry feed. We have always had decent service, they carry the large bags out to the car for us too. They don't always have the feed we need, but there is usually something that will work. They let us know when the shipment comes in. They carry a decent variety to meet most all needs. Employees are nice to chat with, but not always available to chat as they are busy doing something and that's fine too as we all want to get in and out to our chores. I recommend this store as they seem to be helpful and have a good variety. By the way, I'm in CA, not VA, and can't figure out how to change that. read more

Had a bad experience with an item priced at 3.97 and was charged 8.97. When I asked for an adjustment I was told that the correct price was 8.97. Same product was still on the shelf at 3.97. Two weeks later my dog was on his way to a speedy recovery. Not only do they have very competitve prcing, and a knowledgeable staff. I've been going here for a few years now. I wandered in looking for gopher killer and found great dog food prices by accident. Was kind of mindlessly going to Kahoots and Petco before this place. I love this store. I just moved to Fallbrook couple of years ago and this is going to be my only feed store. I think everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. I wanted them to order a special Layer chicken feed (Scratch and Peck) because they did not carry it. The one I wanted is GMO free and organic with no soy or corn and they finally were able to get it in for me and now carry it. I had tired other feed stores and they would not order it so I will be a customer for life now... I buy about 5 bags a month. Great service and that is what we want as customers right? read more

I think the problem you have is with the manufacturer that stated the treats were there, at least you know the brand dog food was carried there also .Besides didn't you say that the lady was going to order them for you? that was customer service for sure! I moved to Fallbrook 15 yrs. ago and have gone to this town feed store for ALL my animal;s needs and the employees there always had a friendly attitude and was very accommodating!! They are my #1 choice for everything I need to keep my animal's healthy. Maybe you should give it another shot, I am sure you will be satisfied especially if you can save money! read more
