    Vegetable Rolls

Quick walk from the ferry terminal we found this Filipino restaurant in a cool food hall. After walking around and looking at all the menus, this place stuck out to us! The service was pretty friendly as it was, what I assume, a father/son duo. They have about 8 chairs around the "kitchen" to serve you bar style but we also saw them bringing plates to other shared tables around the food hall. I went with the Pork Sisig completely based off the picture and what others were having. It looked delicious but I had no idea what it really was. They made it right in front of us on a hot skillet and the portion size was huge. I enjoyed the egg mixed up with the rice and stirring everything together. We also shared the veggie rolls which were pretty good but we just watched them pull them out of the freezer and drop them in a fryer. The sauce seemed like a vinegar base rather than a traditional sweet and sour style that you'd see in the US. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would definitely come back.

    Chicken Inasal

Kabisera just opened as part of the Gotham West Market food hall. I was super excited to try this Filipino spot. I ordered the chicken inasal sizzling plate and the portion was quite massive. It came with two large skewers of chicken thighs. I thought the flavor would be a bit sweet but instead it was very savory which I found a bit disappointing. I wish there was a sauce to go with the chicken. The plate also came with a fried egg, cucumbers, pickled radish, and pickled onions, and a hearty serving of garlic fried rice. Overall it was very filling but on the more expensive side for food hall food ($24 post tip and tax). However, the servers were really nice and brought the food out to me even though I was in a separate room for a comedy event.

My dining companion and I opted for the Family Meal which is only $45 a person. It's a great deal and so much food that we both had enough to take home for the following day. The shrimp and pork spring roll was really good and I like that it's served on a green leaf lettuce . The Chili Pan Mee noodles were so flavorful and I really l loved that it had crispy anchovies. Adds a little flair to it. As far as drinks, I highly recommend the cocktail tasting Every special curated cocktail that I had was strong and refreshing. I definitely will be coming back, the music was great, the employees were very nice and the service was impeccable . Great addition to LES.

You know when you're in the city, it's after work and you don't feel like cooking? Of course you…read moredo! When I feel like that, I go here. I just always know I'm going to get a great meal, I'm going to get a great vibe and feel relaxed. The music is everything here, my millennial heart is so happy when I'm eating dinner to nostalgic tunes. I think I've probably had everything on this menu. The flavors are incredible, the dishes have their own unique spin to them. 1. Food: you really can't go wrong with any of it. I typically order the sisig, Khao Soi (favorite) and ribs. 2. Environment: super cool, it feels very artsy and the music makes this place feel almost clubby but in a chill way? 3. Service: the staff is always helpful. They ask if you've been there every time. they make great suggestions and they are very quick and efficient. Definitely give this place a try! It's on the pricier end of things but it's worth it.
