    Chicken Inasal
    Ellen C.

Kabisera just opened as part of the Gotham West Market food hall. I was super excited to try this Filipino spot. I ordered the chicken inasal sizzling plate and the portion was quite massive. It came with two large skewers of chicken thighs. I thought the flavor would be a bit sweet but instead it was very savory which I found a bit disappointing. I wish there was a sauce to go with the chicken. The plate also came with a fried egg, cucumbers, pickled radish, and pickled onions, and a hearty serving of garlic fried rice. Overall it was very filling but on the more expensive side for food hall food ($24 post tip and tax). However, the servers were really nice and brought the food out to me even though I was in a separate room for a comedy event.

They were packed full of flavor and one if the best pork skewers I've ever had. We also had the pork sisig, which had a great mix of tender and crispy pork pieces. It was paired great with the garlic rice. And for dessert, we had the ube sipao, which came out warm and topped with coconut and filled with ube -- the perfect way to end a meal. They have a lot of small tables. Service was pretty quick and staff members were nice and answered all questions. It's a place I would definitely return to in the future.

It's not the biggest restaurant though, so we probably got lucky (you should definitely make a res). -- Pork BBQ skewers were so delicious! The BBQ sauce was just the right amount of sweet, and the pork was cooked so well (juicy and tender). Portion size did feel a bit small for the price point, though -- Pork sisig was good. I liked how the onions / sour flavouring complemented the savoury flavour of the pork. It was a bit too salty to eat by itself (and we didn't quite finish), but fortunately we had some rice on the side to mellow it out somewhat. -- Finally we had the bangus binalot, which was good too. Milkfish is not the most common to find in the US and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great dish here. It did not feel too oily/heavy from frying, and the fish paired excellently with the fragrant garlic rice. Overall, I had a very nice meal, and the price point was not unreasonable. I think overall the food felt a little salty, but otherwise everything was quite delicious. I think they've moved (nearby) since my visit and I'd love to re-visit and try some of their other dishes!

They were a little slow to open on Saturday morning, but when they did, the line moved smoothly and we were seated in the middle section. We ordered: KFC Sandwich $18 - includes golden fried chicken pieces with a, garlic aioli, and vinegar fries on the side. This was a little messy to eat, but the chicken was moist and cooked well. The fries were good, but a little inconsistent in texture. Some pieces were hard while other's soft. Salted Egg Pancake $16 - includes one large thick pancake with citrus butter, and salted egg cream. The pancake was good, but I did not really taste the salted eff flavor. Crab Omelette $28 - included slow simmered dungeness crab, aromatic coconut sauce, and garlic toast. There was a good amount of crab and the omelet reminded me of a light Thai curry flavor. Garlic toast is always a nice addition. Pancit Batil Patong $25 - included stir-fried egg noodles, seasoned ground beef, pork chicharron, and a fried egg. This was our favorite dish. Packed with flavor. I would come back just for this. Everything we ordered was great. Staff was friendly. There are 2 unisex bathrooms.

The entire meal was a delight! My favorites of the meal are the zesto, KFC, adobo rice, and ube cheesecake. The cocktails overall are so delicious, highly highly recommend getting the zesto. The Kanuo Fried Chicken tastes like what I wish the real KFC would: savory, tender, crispy. Some of the best fried chicken I've had in a while. From the crunchy pork rinds to the aromatic peppercorn, the adobo rice with its plethora of flavors and textures was an amazing journey soy and garlic. The ube cheesecake with its iconic ube squiggle on top of luscious cheesy base was a playful delicious of salty and sweet. Service: Service was great! Our waiter was informative, responsive, and positive. He gave some solid recommendations. Ambiance: Trendy but comforting is the best way to describe it. A great place for an intimate date or dinner party.

My dining companion and I opted for the Family Meal which is only $45 a person. It's a great deal and so much food that we both had enough to take home for the following day. The shrimp and pork spring roll was really good and I like that it's served on a green leaf lettuce . The Chili Pan Mee noodles were so flavorful and I really l loved that it had crispy anchovies. Adds a little flair to it. As far as drinks, I highly recommend the cocktail tasting Every special curated cocktail that I had was strong and refreshing. I definitely will be coming back, the music was great, the employees were very nice and the service was impeccable . Great addition to LES.
