Got #1 the Singapore Fried Rice and although the other ones are great options cause they come with salmon or pork chop etc, you can't go wrong with chinese sausage and dried shrimp! The whole dish was amazing. I'm writing this a few days after and I can still remember the taste in my mouth this very moment. My husband got the same thing, but said it's a bit dry. I said cause it's not soy sauce rice, it actual fried rice lol. He love the taste as well though. This place was inside Urban Hawk food court with plenty of seating. Service was quick. Tip is optional on the tablet.

I came very tired and hungry and the Fried Rice with Pork Chop immensely satisfied my hunger. It's cooked so well too. It's surprisingly authentic! Loved the flavor although a thicker pork chop would have been more satisfying. When traveling away from Vancouver, Canada, I never attempt to order Chinese or Asian as it almost always is disappointing. But boy am I impressed with this. I highly recommend this. Kudos to you!

Date: Saturday, May 4th, 2014 Time: around 7:15pm Meal: Dinner *Singapore Signature Fried Rice *Shrimp Fried Rice My group played the divide and conquer game, so everyone went their separate ways and got food to share. One of my friends hit up the fried rice stall. I believe he got the rices above. I adored the texture of their rice. It wasn't too soft or mushy. Tho one in our party thought it was too hard and undercooked, so I think it depends on preference. I guess I'd compare this to al dente pasta which I prefer. The singapore fried rice was better as it had more flavor. I think the meat helped. Good option for fried rice. REVIEW #3404

My favorite place in urban hawker. I've had their pork chop fried rice, shrimp fried rice and most recently fried fish fried rice. The portions are huge and around $15-$18. Service is pretty fast. They give you a button that vibrates once your food is ready.

2nd visit here and 6th trip to Urban Hawker overall. Had the Porkchop with fried rice this time and that was another delicious dish. One small nitpick would be that the rice was a tad bit on the salty side but that's nothing a refreshing drink won't fix.

So they are located in Urban Hawker which is big food court in midtown right by Radio City Music Hall. There are entrances from both 50th St and 51st St. Mr Fried Rice is almost in the middle right by steps. They have about 6 or 7 options of fried rice. I don't recall which one I had but it was very good. You place your order and they give you a buzzer and when it's ready you'll know which allows you to maybe look around, grab seating(which is shared with everyone) or just wait. I plan on coming back to try each one.

Located inside the urban hawker food court. I got the teriyaki salmon fried rice for lunch and it tasted so-so. $20 for the rice seems pretty steep for its quality.

Mr. Fried Rice is a Singaporean restaurant located in the food hall Urbanhawker. This food hall is massive and very spacious! It's at Midtown West and I loved it there! I would say I saw over 12+ vendors. I got Homemade Pork Chop - Fried with Egg fried rice. It was incredible, especially that rice!!

I was looking for a kid-friendly meal that wasn't spicy and thought the teriyaki salmon was a good choice. You pay, get a pager and wait. For fried rice, it was a long wait. Portion size is big but for almost $20, I thought it would be more eye opening. Taste was just okay as the rice was harder than I liked. The piece of salmon was large but the accompanying greens was lackluster. I actually prefer the fried rice in the sushi spots more for a lower price. Glad I tried this stall but it was just okay for us.

I ordered the Egg Fried Rice and was a little disappointed with the flavor. It didn't taste too different from eating just white rice and the egg was mixed so finely/sparse that I nearly couldn't taste it at all. The texture of the rice was good and it's not like I disliked the rice, I just expected more from a place that specializes in it. The location itself is really nice. It's a small stand inside the Urban Hawker and even though we arrived right after work, the line was short and service was quick and friendly. I tried a few pieces of my partner's chicken that he ordered and enjoyed it, so I definitely recommend getting something with your rice so that it's not too plain.

I was excited and had high hopes for this place but the food I ordered which is the Signature Singapore Fried Rice was far from great. It was very basic, didn't have much flavor, rice was a little crunchy, and it didn't look anything like the photos they have on their menu. And it's also quite expensive. Definitely not worth it.

, Yummy I came after 6 PM and like I can use my fingers to count how many people on line ahead of me They got about 6 main rice dishes, BBQ Stingray, Shrimp, Crispy Fish, Salmon, Prawn paste Chicken, and like 4 different rice options for each one, egg, Thai, spicy mala, and XO, so you do the math I went for the Pork Chop rice dish with the Thai Tom Yum fried rice. The staff of 5 here have zero idle time and they are working like robots, and soabout 10 to 15 minutes later my order is ready. You get a big size scoop of the rice which had a lite mix of egg and veggies with a few thin pieces of pork chop no bone on top and some greens as garnish. it tasted good, the pork chop was lightly season and the Tom Yum rice was mildly spicy. The heat builds up with every bite but not by much. I ate it all , and for sure will come back to try the fish and maybe that Prawn paste Chicken to find out what that's about.

The chicken was very tender, well prepared, and so were the veggies. I think it has stiff competition by way of Lou Yau Kee but is definitely up there as top 5 southeast chicken rices in the city! I would def come back here and what's great is that you can feel healthy bc it's steamed/poached chicken, rice and veggies :) It's inside Urban Hawker, so you can get a variety of other things to go with your meal - might I recommend Kopi (malaysian coffee) at the nearby stand? The flavors were bold, authentic, and the chicken skin was silky smooth. The cucumbers had a nice crunch and the veggies as well. They give you two sauces, one of them is spicy and might be hotter than you expect so try it first.

The vendors represent essential cuisines like Malay, Peranakan, Chinese, Indian, Southeast Asian, and Asian-style Western favorites. The first time I went to Urban Hawker was in December 2022, so I was very happy to be back again. I went to Hainan Jones for the Singapore Hainanese Chicken Rice. The menu offers two chicken rice sets: poached or roasted Hainanese Chicken Rice, Chicken Porridge, or a salad. Hainanese Chicken Rice is considered one of Singapore's most celebrated local dishes and is the star at Hainan Jones. I ordered the Signature Poached Chicken Rice Set ($19). The rice set is served with very fragrant chicken rice and broth accompanied by oyster vegetables with fried shallots, cucumbers, a chili sauce, and dark soy sauce. It didn't take very long for the order to be ready. The poached chicken was very smooth, tender, and tasty. I enjoyed the flavor of the chicken by itself and dipping it in the dark soy sauce. It was a good portion and very filling. My husband got the roasted chicken and he enjoyed it. There are plenty of tables for seating at Urban Hawker. After eating, I bought the tray to the trash area and there were staff taking the tray and cleaning tables. I'm looking forward to the next time I can visit Urban Hawker.

Urban Hawker isn't a restaurant, but a food hall with lots of Singaporean and Malaysian food vendors. This means lots of different options to choose from. :) We split a Hainanese chicken rice plate and an order of chicken and lamb skewers, both of which tasted very yummy. While we also wanted to try a dessert, the dessert stall we were interested in was unmanned. We were also feeling pretty full from our main lunch items.

From my initial impression, I was honestly kind of underwhelmed. When I first entered, it seemed like a ghost town with so many of the tables empty like it had just opened minutes ago. Towards the later evening after 6:30-7pm, it started to get packed towards the back. This food hall consisted of several stalls mostly Singaporean & Indian cuisines - with some hint of Filipino, Chinese, Malaysian , etc. You order, find a table and pick up your food when it's ready. [Just note that some dishes come out in plastic containers as if you are taking it to-go even though you are dining in]. I opted for a Singaporean spot called Prawnaholic and opted for the #3 HOKKIEN MEE. Don't get me wrong, it was good. But I'm not sure that the dish was that good to equate the cost in terms of portion size or taste. Maybe if it was slightly cheaper, I could make sense of coming back, but otherwise, I think I would prefer buying other dishes elsewhere. Overall, I find that price are high (typical midtown prices for foods) for average tasting foods. I personally was okay with trying it once and would prefer other food options as opposed to this food hall.
