Beef Egg Noodles (Pancit Batil Patong)
    Huiwen C.

Great spot for flavorful Filipino food, perfect for groups or dates. I recommend ordering a couple dishes to share as the portions are a bit small. Some favorites were bbq pork belly, Kare kare, and pancit batil patong beef noodles. Every dish was full of umami and you will finish the dishes fast. The service was friendly and welcoming.

Got the pork rice bowl and the coconut crab. Both were yummy but so expensive. Coconut crab was not a large portion but the pork rice bowl was at least. Both were tasty but I wouldn't get again because of the price. Came on a Wednesday at 6:50pm and grabbed the last bar seats. It got extremely busy with a wait shortly after so make a reservation or get there early.

The food and drinks were delicious!!!! Staff was quick and helpful. Decor was lively and chic. Restrooms were nicely designed and clean. The Calamansi Spritz was so nice, lightly sweet and refreshing. Every thing I had was amazing, but my favorite parts of the meal this time (1st time) were the Kanton Fried Chicken (KFC), Pork Bbq and the grilled pampano. A new favorite spot!

    Pancit Kabute
    Vishnu G.

I had the pancit kabute, which is a noodle dish with an assortment of mushrooms and a sauce made from chili and garlic, emulsified with a runny egg yolk. The effect is almost like an Italian fusion dish. There's a bit of calamansi to add some brightness, I definitely could've used some more. The flavor is decent, but this ran up to almost $30 after tax and tip, which isn't really worth it. I would've liked to see a few more vegetarian options too, but I suppose it's nice to see any at all.

KFC Sandwich and the Crab Omelette

We went for their Brunch so if you were hoping to get their Ginataang Alimango like us, we recommend going for their dinner instead haha. Luckily the brunch menu has dinner variations so we did get to try their KFC and crab filling. If you're going to order the KFC sandwich, and you're not a huge fan of vinegar fries, we recommend just ordering the KFC separately and getting rice. Even though they said the wait time could be over an hour, we were seated within 30 minutes. (We walked in around 1245pm on a Saturday). The service was quick and friendly. Loved the open kitchen vibe!

Probably closer to like a 3.75. Probably better for their dinner menu? Walked in on a Saturday at around 12:35 and waited maybe 10 minutes for a table. Food: Vinegar fries were WAYY too vinegary The chicken itself was good. Woulda been bomb with rice and some gravy (in Filipino so I gotta have rice). Crab omelette was okay. Would've been better with rice too. Ube cheesecake was too salty for us. But it tasted better the more we ate as our taste buds got used to it. Is this a good thing? Ambiance: Its okay - nothing remarkable. Good music playlist though. Service: Good and prompt.

BRUNCH REVIEW ONLY Made a reservation for Saturday brunch with my group about a week before. Walked in and this place was packed! Our group ordered: - Salted Egg Pancakes - Platter with Chicken Adobo - Crab Omelette - Pancit Kabute Everything was absolutely delicious EXCEPT I found the chicken adobo very dry. Would probably skip the platter dish altogether. The crab omelette though was delicious and had a healthy amount of crab chunks. The pancit kabute was also great. Almost bordering a carbonara in texture/mouth feel, the noodles were absolutely perfect in my opinion. The pancakes were also really good. Not overly sweet with the salted egg yolk and the pancakes itself were fluffy. I do think we probably could've asked for that at the end instead of it all coming out at once. Also ordered the purple yummm which was a great drink choice if you like ube. Would recommend. Overall, even though I thought the platter was a bit of a miss, everything else was quite good and I'd definitely come back for dinner. The space is well decorated, but laidback. Service was also attentive with swapping plates out, cleaning up, water refills etc. Makes for a really good brunch option for when your friends or family are in town. Just make sure you go early or snag a reservation!

    Pancit batil patong

Definitely make a reservation if you can because this place fills up quick! And I can see why! I feel like I would probably recommend picking dinner over brunch just for the more extensive menu and the desserts like the ube cheesecake, but brunch was still delicious! My standouts were the crab omelette and the kfc. The crab omelette had so much crab and the egg was so soft. And the kfc was so juicy and crispy, and the spicy sauce added the perfect kick. The pancit batil patong was also really good, but it just didn't shine as bright. The salted egg pancake was also good in general, but it didn't taste like salted egg pancake, it just tasted like orange. There was some confusion with the ordering, ending in us not getting the chicken adobo platter, and the kfc coming out super late, but the staff was super helpful and they ended up giving us the peach please drink free of charge. It was good and really fruity, but also super strong.

Great Filipino food from a restaurant group that normally specializes in Indian food? Who would've thought? The food at Naks is delicious and unique. The kare-kare is a comforting slow braised beef cheeks dish topped with baby bok choy, delicious. The shrimp laing was my favorite dish, covered in a rich coconut stew/curry, it was delicious and unlike anything I've had. Service was great and food came out at a good pace. Naks is great and you should come here to check out great Filipino food.

    Vy T.

The appetizers were spicy! The tuna more so than the bbq pork. The spiciness only hits and lingers for a bit. The sauce of the pork carried! It was tangy and complemented the pork well. The adobo rice was great! I preferred the pork bites over the chicken. The crispy pork skin is so good. The braised beef cheeks were tender and cooked nicely, but the flavors weren't there for me. It was smothered in a mild peanut butter sauce and came with fermented shrimp on the side, which I liked but it didn't go well with the dish. I do think both of these dishes were fatty and can get palette fatiguing. The ube cheesecake was my favorite! It wasn't too sweet, and the ube cream is a bit salty. The flan was too sweet for me, even after I scraped off the sauce that it came with. We went for restaurant week and I think it's a really good deal. We left stuffed.

    Salted egg yolk pancake
    Emily G.

Went for brunch, now curious about dinner! The pancit, crab omelette and salted egg yolk pancakes were all hits. The pancit was creamy and flavorful, the crab omelette had a nice coconut curry flavor. The salted egg yolk flavor wasn't too strong, which might also be the reason why it didnt feel to heavy. We also got the platter with chicken adobo but i heard it was a bit dry (I personally did not try). The soup was nice if you like ginger. It was relatively easy to get a reservation. There's a decent amount of seating and 2 restrooms. Service was friendly and very attentive!

    Michael C.

Fantastic meal, great service, friendly staff. Got the adobo rice entree and the atchera side. Both were delicious and properly refueled me after I walked 43,000 steps that day hahaha. Definitely want to come back to try their other dishes and the Ube cheesecake!

Nice spot for filipino brunch! Interior was nice, but a little bit cramped. Kare kare omelette was definitely our favorite dish. It had great peanuty flavor in the sauce, and the beef was very tender. We enjoyed the shrimp paste that it came with as well. We were excited for the salted egg pancake, but it ended up tasting more like citrus. It was tasty, but a little too sweet and cake-like for my liking. Can be quite a long wait if you walk in, so I would recommend getting a reservation.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing.
