I have catered twice from this place and both times the food was freshly made and very delicious! Everyone who has eaten the catered food has complimented the food. I have catered both chicken and beef lula and rice trays. Very delicious! They give you enough peta bread and sautéed onions with the order. I highly recommend this place. I have always wanted to try this place as it has an old school diner vibe (those places are usually the best). However, I was a little let down. Maybe since it was a busy lunch hour? I can only hope. I ordered beef shish and chicken lula (#16 on the menu). My meat was cooked well but felt like the seasoning was a little bland. The grilled tomato was partially grilled so it was still raw on one side with no smokeyness and char flavor I crave for. The rice was okay but sad to say the best part of the meal was the the house salad dressing. It finally gave me some flavors I wanted with a kick. This recently remodeled this place and it looks great and the food is still amazing as ever! Love their chicken lula kabob combo, it's flavorful, healthy, fresh, and fulfilling. Parking may seem like an issue but it hasn't been one for me so far. There is more space to park in the back. Chicken kebab sandwich was delicious. Well marinaded not dried out, tasty soft bread with side salad! My order did take a while even though I placed via phone well ahead of time. It took most of my lunch break to get my order. But overall food was good and well prices. I did add avocado which took my delicious sandwich over the top. Most dishes were too salty. Tasty, but too salty. The beef sultani & lule combo $14.50 came with plenty of meat but the steak chunks were again too salty. The lentil soup $2.99 was also high in sodium. As was the moutabal or baba ganoush $2.99. The other dishes were fine: The chicken sultani & Lule combo $12.50 was ok as was the grilled whole trout compete w/head $11.99. Overall, I prefer Elenas across the street, but they're closed on Sundays. In that case this place is an alternative, but order carefully. One thing that is nicer than Elena's is the restaurant seating. They've remodeled here and it's a modern, open plan layout. If you're doing take out it doesn't matter. read more

Kabab Way is always my go-to for work when I want something healthy but still hearty. I usually get #27 which has the chicken breast, salad, taboole, hummus and pita. the chicken was always cooked well and their ranch sauce is really good with the humus! I always want a little bit of salad with my meat dish and I love how they have a variation of salad options I can pick to get my dish with they are also very friendly and the food comes out pretty quick which is perfect because lunch time is limited. this would be a good Mediterranean spot people could try out if they never had any and want to be a little bit adventurous but not too crazy. great lunch spot for sure! good price and good portion! read more

I'll keep it really simple here. The so-called "salad" is really a huge mound of iceberg lettuce with 5 pieces of chicken on top. Nothing else. Just iceberg, crudely chopped, and maybe three slivers of shredded carrot. Well, there is a side of tabbouleh and a scoop of hummus, but not worth what was charged). Also ordered their beef and chicken combo plate. Again, at $15, not worth it. It was more of the shredded, filler iceberg with a barely-charred side tomato and plain white rice. Condiments and sides were also missing from our order. Meat was fine. Hence, the 2 stars. The service was the icing on top of an overall yellow box-cake experience. Some customers got "rude" or "an attitude", I was lucky enough to receive "condescending sarcasm" by the woman at the register the night I went. I do not enjoy leaving reviews like this, but hoping that it will shed some light on the reality of the service and quality of food they offer, especially at the price they charge. The food here is actually pretty good and the prices are fairly cheap compared to other kabob places. The salad is simple and while it not may be for everyone, it works for me. Parking can be tricky in the small lot behind it, but there's street parking nearby. I recommend checking this place out. read more

In Glendale there seems to be a kabab shop on every corner...and there is nothing wrong with that. The food here was cooked fresh to order, the portion sizes were on point, the prices were low and the service was friendly. We stopped by Kabab Way for a to-go order. The casual fast-food type restaurant is right across the street from my fav Armenian restaurant, Elena's. Since Elena's is closed on Sundays, we thought we'd give Kabab Way a try. You order at the counter and a server will bring your food to your table. We walked in and Elvira took our order....I felt the cold chill as she was answering our questions, lol. I believe she was absent on the training day on customer service. Our take out order was: (1) #7 Chicken Shish Kabab - $6.50 Boneless, skinless marinated chicken thigh pieces served with basmati rice, green salad, broiled tomato, sliced onion and a pita bread. My chicken was surprisingly moist but needed a lil more seasoning. The sides were fresh and just fine. Sonny boy ordered the same entree and he said it was ok. (2) #5 Chicken Breast Kabab Special- $5.99 The grilled chicken breast is served with hummus, pickled turnip, and 2 slices of pita bread. Hubby said the chicken was dry and didn't really care for his entree selection. I tried the hummus which was pretty standard. Kabab Way offers a pretty good chicken shish kabab, a casual atmosphere, cheap prices, and their open on Sundays. The only negative was the nonchalant service we received. Their slogan is "No heartburn" and so far I haven't had heartburn eating their food. The place isn't exactly modern. It's a local place that takes pride in their food if anything. They actually have remodeled the place. Before it used to be this non modern place with non decorated walls and ceiling. They've upgraded so it's not that bad inside anymore. There's outdoor as well as indoor seating too. It's cheap unlike those other bougie expensive middle eastern restaurants that attract primarily Caucasian people because it's healthy and it makes them feel ethnic. Just kidding. Sorry if I've already offended you. No but really, their food is cheap. Lula kabobs are really good and juicy. Shish kabobs are a little more expensive and are actual pieces of meat. The lula kabobs are like meatloaf/sausage things shaped into a kabob but so much better than meatloaf. They serve every sort of combo you can think of. Want your meat with rice? Got it. Want your meat with pita? Got it. Want your meat in a loaf of bread like a sandwich? Got it. Want your meat on top of lettuce like a salad? Got it. Want both lula and shish because you can't decide? Got it. The combos are endless. Roasted tomato is good. Rice is good. What isn't good? Hummus. Too watery or too acidic. I don't know exactly what it is but I remember trying their hummus a few years ago and being so eh about it. At the time I had a couple of Jordanian friends that would always serve me homemade hummus from their moms when I'd go to their houses so that's my source for comparison. Go there for the kabobs. Sheeeesh....kabob! Wow. This place is fantastic. I happened upon this restaurant over the weekend while driving around looking for something new and yummy for lunch. I randomly picked this place after the scent of amazing grilling lured me in. Lucky me! I've had kabobs in Westwood (aka "Little Tehran") but these kabobs beat those by a mile. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and served with tasty hummus, the kabobs I ordered (beef) were probably the best I've ever had. And, at $6.99, I'd consider them a steal. In addition to the hummus, I also received pickled turnips and two pita breads. Service was friendly but not that fast, which is probably a good thing, because it means that they don't start cooking your kabobs until you order them. Parking in their private lot or on the street. Like this Mediterranean restaurant in Glendale. The prices was reasonable and the food was delicious. Their portions were generous. I got the beef and chicken kabob and it was filling. Came here with my family and infant daughter tonight. Ordered about $50 worth of food about 30 minutes before closing time and ate it there at the restaurant. As the restaurant starts closing up and turning new customers away a couple of the staff members start talking smack about us in Armenian about why we are taking so long to finish and how we must be "dense and stupid" for not knowing they're closing up. After hearing these comments several times my wife speaks up and says that we can hear them. We leave our unfinished plates on the table and walk out the door. Not 10 seconds later, their manager (about 30 years old) runs out the door towards us yelling at the top of his lungs. He motions to me to come over and screams at me in Armenian "You are going to go back in there and throw your food away." He says this with his chest heaving, FISTS CLENCHED and right arm partially cocked, and without a doubt in either my mind or his, he is seconds away from striking me if I do not oblige. My wife who is holding my 7 month old infant 10 feet behind me is frantically calling 911 and my 72 year old father in law comes over to calm this guy down. Never in my life has any restaurant employee ever threatened to physically assault me. Say what you want about a restaurant's food being bad or their service being lousy but no patron should ever fear for their safety or their family's safety like this. read more

I thought the food here was very good. I love kabobs and the chicken and beef were so flavorful and tender. I also really enjoyed the rice. It was so fluffy and also flavorful. Overall, you'll get a lot of good food and a very reasonable price. Our cashier was very patient with us as we were also changing our orders a bit. I think the only downside might be that parking is a little awkward in the back and they don't have printed menus, so you're having to look at their electronic menu on the screen. It's not a big deal, but the pictures rotate really fast so if you're not familiar with what you want, you might have to go through the pictures a few times to figure out what is what. I take it this location has changed hands a few times. From Glendale Grill, to Kebab Way, and now Kabab Way. O how tricky kebab kabab. Whatever the case. I never ate at the prior places but Kabab Way has yummy kebabs! Since Royal Chickens closing, I am still on the pursuit for something that measures up to them. This place is close. The decor is maybe alittle confusing with all the multi colored walls, and the shabby chic painted ceiling. Maybe it was 'The Little Chef' statue in a Mediterranean place that threw me off. I dunno! Whatever the case, the food was good. I ordered the chicken kebabs and my buddy ordered the beef. The beef, was....well....a beef kebab. Nothing too special about it. It was good, just not exceptional. The chicken however, that's a different story! Usually when I order chicken kebabs they end up being dry and not seasoned very well. So I was alittle reluctant to try them here. But trying to stay somewhat healthy I caved. And I am glad I did! They were, juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Loved every bite of it. The rice was....rice. Who knew. And the salad was fresh. No complaints there. God knows I hate limp lettuce. I think it's location is unfortunate, not close enough to the down town area maybe. The chicken luleh kebabs here are outstanding. It was made to order, hot off the grill, tender, juicy, and flavorful. It laid across a bed of steamy, perfectly cooked jasmine rice which sopped up all of the kebabs juicy goodness. Accompanied with a roasted tomato, side salad, and pita.. it was the perfect lunch. The interior of the place is well kept and I doubt this place ever gets really busy. Sandwiches also looked very delicious and seemed like a popular choice with the other customers.
