We've been getting take-out from Kabab king for a few years now and have always enjoyed the food. But tonight's take-out was especially on point! Flavors were delicious and fresh. So glad we finally tried this place! We ordered online (super easy) and the food was awesome. We tried the kebab combo to sample a few different meats and went all out with some sides (samosas, falafel, babaganoush). All of it was extremely flavorful & cooked perfectly. My favorite of the night was the tandoori chicken (My husband was all about the samosas and gyro). Surprisingly, the hummus was my least favorite, but all was good. I recommend ordering extra pita/naan. Definitely adding Kebab King to our restaurant rotation. read more

Not my favorite gyro. The tzatziki sauce was strange - too tart. The wrap is 7$ or the gyro plate is 10$ and comes with rice and salad. Good size portion and good pita. The samosas (5/5$) were good; they are fried little pastries with pork inside and served with a green herb sauce. Clean interior, friendly service. read more

There's a really long comment somewhere on here. I mistakenly typed my review in the comment section, not sure how. But .... you're read the really good things in the comment section, here I'll give you the cons. The food is served fresh and pippin hot. However, it does not travel well nor does it reheat well. I'd go so far to say if you're unable go sit down and eat it there then don't order it. We had about a 30 minute drive to get home. I couldn't wait. I ate the side Greek salad in the car and 2 falafels. I didn't have much green lettuce in my bowl, mainly white, they probably could have throw this part of the lettuce away. It wasn't spoiled or anything just the very, very end of the head of lettuce. I took one big bite of the tandoori chicken wrap for good measures before we got home. It was good ... it great, lite on the flavor, heavy in the grill taste. By the time we got home the wrap was ruined, the bread was sooooo soggy. I ended up eating it with a fork like an open faced sandwich. I noticed sliced pickles on the wrap. I'm a fan of pickles, huge fan even, just wasn't expecting them on the wrap. They made it so dern soggy! I'd definitely try Kabab King again by next time I'm sticking with an original gyro and I'm eating in there. read more

I wish o could do a five star review but this place does not deserve it. We had been out and about and in a new area. Looked around and found Kabab King. Was very exited to try this place. Small little mom and pop place and we love to support the local people. Went in and the lady behind the counter was not happy at all. Very rude greeting. I can over look it. She had been making some to go orders up and they looked amazing. Was very excited to order. She did not acknowledge us or say she would be a minute. We waited. She finally took our order. I asked if she needed our name since we would be staying and eating and she looked so annoyed that I had asked the question. Maybe she did not want people eating there and wanted people to take things to go. I get it but we were staying. She then knocked on the window since we took an out side seat. She could not even bother to bring the food or come any day it was ready. Overall the food was good. Good seasoning on all the food. I would try this again but and yes a but...I do like to support locals but I can spend my almost $50 order somewhere else that appreciates the customers. read more

The food was really disappointing. The cashier was super rude too, and acted like I was inconveniencing her the entire time. Their falafels looked and tasted different then all of the other falafels I've had at other places, and to top it off they smelled really bad from the fryer oil. Like, reamed from the unopened box. I asked her for extra olives because I love the juicy, salty kalamata olives with the seed that I've always been served at any Greek restaurant I've visited, and they put extra sliced black olives.... First time visiting Kabab King and I have to say it is a bit underwhelming. For a place to call itself king of anything, I would assume it would offer the best food in town. However, the food here was okay at best. The fries were good, the gyro was lacking in flavor, and the gyro salad was mediocre. The staff was friendly, but the wait was long even though the restaurant was empty when we arrived. Staff also set the fries to the side while the rest of the food cooked. Personally, I think they should've served them fresh instead of allowing them to get cold. read more

Me and the lady stopped in here for to go lunch today. We both got the beef gyros with a side of basmati rice. This is hands-down one of the best gyros I have had. Everything was on point from flavor, texture and freshness. the taziki sauce was fantastically vibrant with flavor. The pita bread with the softest I have ever had. The rice was cooked perfect not oily at all and was seasoned very well. We will be absolutely be returning to explore the other options on the menu. I had the Tandoori plate. Can hardly go wrong with chicken. It was very tasty. I wished it had a little bit of hummus and a little more bread. I spoke with the manager and he said he was still working on the arrangement of the plates to minimize waste. He said he would put a little bread and I think also some hummus at no extra charge. I'm going to take him up on that the next time. The price was reasonable. Definitely cheaper and more affordable than other places I've eaten in the valley. The usual places I eat range from $15-$20 a person. They are between $12-15 with a can drink. Definitely will visit them again a 3rd time. read more

If you are craving Mediterranean cuisine- this is the spot to hit! Their Kabab combo is what I would start with if you're not too daring to try new things. The Tandoori is just the right spicyness throughout the nuggets of grilled white chicken breast. The beef Kabab is tender and full of flavor from sea salt, pepper and a hint of charbroil from grilling. I always ask for extra tazikki sauce (Yogurt, cucumber and saffron). All this on top of basmati rice with a side of Greek salad and flat bread. I love that they add a whole charbroiled Roma tomato to mix into the rice for additional flavor. They have chicken curry and lamb shank as well not to mention Gyros- all very satisfying to fulfill your taste for Mediterranean food! read more

When you walk in the place is still under construction. You order at the entrance by this kid (who is actually really cute and smart). The food took really long to come out. We waited almost an hour. Then when it came out there was no cutlery to eat the food... They served the food in a to go box, even though we were dining in... Umm...The koobideh was pretty good, rice could do a bit more saffron. Needs a lot of work with the service. But hopefully in the future it will improve. My sister received a flyer for this place at work and we decided to give it a try. We were not completely convinced at first, but happy we gave it a try! I ordered the combo plate and my sister ordered the chicken kabob plate. The beef was so tender and waaaaayyy tastier than other places (Persian room) the amount of food was ample and enough to share if need be. My sister loved her chicken plate. The chicken was just as flavorful. The owner was very nice and was happy to explain the menu and chat with us. We will def be giving them another try and adding them to our list of go to restaurants! I really like Mediterranean food and this is the closest place to us for gyros and such. We used to get tikki masala from a place off of 51st ave, but they closed so we tried kabob king. The gyros are always good. We also tried the falafel. It was a little dry for my liking. The fries are always fresh and hot, and the salad is fresh. They serve it with a delicious balsamic style dressing. Also tried the tandoori chicken. It was not as flavorful as i expected, and chicken was a little dry. The rice they serve it with is tasty though. I really like tzaziki sauce, but I wish this one was more flavorful like i have had at other places. Not quite sure what is different about theirs. Started off with Hummus with Pita bread and Sambosa both delicious and authentic tasting. No pics only because we devoured it before I thought about taking any. Unfortunately, the rest of our meal didn't live up to the great start. I really enjoyed this place. The owner is very friendly and since there weren't a lot of other customers in the restaurant when we were there (Thursday night) we had a little chat with him. I had the Gyro and my wife had the Tandori Chicken. We also got the three piece Samosa and a plate of five falafel balls. My favorite was the falafel balls, which were just wonderful. I've never eaten falafel that tasted so fresh (and I've eaten falafel straight off the street carts of Jerusalem). The Samosa's were also great, very tasty little triangles of pastry with chicken meat inside. My wife's tandori chicken tasted like it had been cooked right over a campfire. It was like you could close your eyes and pretend you were in the mountains of Afghanistan eating it. She at every single piece, and that is something she usually doesn't do. I think the weakest part of the meal was my Gyro. It wasn't bad, but it was fairly bland. Not much sauce and not a ton of taste. But it was only $6 and came with french fries so you can't complain too much. They have a meat dish that I will try when I go back. They also have a buffet on Sunday afternoons for $14 that is all you can eat of every different thing they make. This is a simple restaurant. They don't have a large menu at all, I think about ten items. This means it very easy to decide what you want and the food comes really quickly. I would recommend this place even if I didn't like it simply with the hope that we will get more novelty restaurants on this side of town (I love Mexican food, but it's nice to have a choice for something else, you know). If you, like me, have seen the sign for "Kebab King" as you drive down Baseline then I suggest you give it a try one of these days. It's worth the very modest prices. Total cost for my wife and I (including 15% tip) was $28 and we got two entrees and two appetizers. I think he might want to consider raising his prices a bit, I wouldn't want to see him go out of business because he didn't charge enough. Thanks for the great meal! read more

I'm sorry, I've been to several Greek restaurants in my time (large and small and family owned) in different states and I'm very disappointed in the meal I ordered. It was a simple Gyro Greek salad meal. But I received store bought oily sliced Gyro meat, bagged iceberg lettuce, black olives not Greek olives and runny Tzatziki sauce with no flavor. Usually one would get pita bread with their salad but the charge $.50 for a 1/2 sliced chewy pita bread . I guess I expected to much. You'll find a Chicago style Greek location in Avondale that is a small family owned business and it's great. I'll stick with them. I hope Kabab gets the message and does better. read more

He mentioned that they had a meal that included a drink. I got that and proceeded to wait a good 30 minutes for one chicken wrap and French fries.
