My dog was very fearful before K9 Avengers. He was boarded for a week and is confident and much easier to work with. Very pleased.

We went onto do 3 levels of classes with him. Classes were hands down the best investment we made for him, and he went on to live a wonderful fear-free life. I attribute his high quality of life to his basic training classes and the time we put in when he was a puppy. He learned from a very young age how to settle and be calm in lots of different situations. He learned to trust our directions which kept him safe. Puppy social is in my opinion one of the best classes to put a young puppy in. They get to meet other dogs and people in a safe environment, and the puppies teach each other soft bite and learn how to be social. We recently brought a new puppy into our lives. I love the structure of Pjs classes where your puppy is with the same dogs for the 6-week duration. The happy little puppies can all see each other during the class at Pjs, no barriers (unless required to reduce stress of the pet). I like the scaffolding approach that PJs classes offer. You build the dogs' confidence and skills up in a logical way for them to learn. Plus, the puppies are all watching each other learn the same things. It's adorable. Our new puppy has done several levels of classes at Pjs' beautiful new facility in Sparks and HE LOVES IT. He just completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen, we can now consider therapy work down the road with him. He is so excited to get in the door for any play group I take him to and to his classes. We absolutely loved Rally O with Susie, she is amazing. We have referred Susie to friends with some rescues for consultations and they have been super happy. We will complete all the classes PJ dog training offers, because our dog just loves to learn, he really likes to use his brain. He exudes happiness when we get to class. Thank you, PJ and Susie, for helping us raise a happy confident dog yet again and offering such great classes. Highly recommend Pjs, they have so much experience and are CCPTD certified. They also give you time at the beginning of any class for a quick discussion on any "challenge areas". You learn so much to help you understand your dog's behavior. All classes use positive reinforcement. You learn to build a trusting relationship with your furry family members from a place of respect and love. The facility is always so clean, and they take excellent care in making sure your puppies are safe and not exposed to any bugs. We have never had any problems. 10 stars from us!!

They have all been very good to me and my boys. I have also always had their shots done, and was always prepared for that since they notify you by email in advance when their shots are expiring. They have extended my boys stays on short notice or were able to get them in on short notice as well. The only thing that has ever been required sooner than most places was kennel cough, and flu which is completely understandable! SO THANK YOU CHRISTOPHER RAYNOR , for pulling out so my pups could go in on short notice, especially since my boys shots were up to date. On another note Mr. Raynor, don't go trash talking my family. I consider The Bark House extended family since they have always taken care of my boys and have always notified me when my pups were due for their shots. I don't appreciate someone who trash talks my family when you sir, were not in compliance, and really dude...do you know that parvo can kill a dog? Again, The Bark House has always taken care of my boys, and if you give them enough heads up they will even bath them before you head in to taken them home! I recommend them to everyone and they are good supporters of military, police and I believe first responders as well. But being military and police, they have supported me and my boys since I discovered them! They are wonderful with my boys which always come home tired and happy from playing! Thank you my Bark House family! Always, Alpha & Grizzly's Mom

The good - the female facilitator and the other gentleman were very sweet. They gave a great tour, and were always happy to take calls or answer questions. I think this place is great for folks who work on USA Parkway, or folks who are content with quick exchanges with no feedback. The bad - Unfortunately most of my drop offs consisted of dealing with Thomas, the owner. He made it clear pretty early on that he thought me and my dog had "anxiety issues". When I picked my dog up each day I liked to ask how her day was, as I'm genuinely interested (I love my dog lol) and it's nice to make small talk. Thomas took this interaction as me thinking my dog had a problem, and would make comments about my dog having some type of issue. He constantly rubbed me the wrong way, saying it was incorrect for me to say goodbye to my dog as it would increase her anxiety, and mentioning that I shouldn't call in to check on her. The final straw was today, Thomas had made a comment to my husband yesterday that my dog was "nippy" with him, and I wanted to talk to Thomas about it directly as I was genuinely concerned about my dog showing potential signs of aggression. Upon me asking him about it, he immediately let me know I should probably find another daycare, as I'm the owner he deals with that has the most issues or concerns. I tried to amicably let him know I'm only trying to get more information on the situation, but he kept insisting I go somewhere else since I'm not happy. This was a totally unprofessional way to speak to me, and as a paying customer I think it's well within my right to ask second level questions about my dog's behavior. I will be taking his advice, and going to a different daycare that doesn't view me as a problem customer for checking in on my dog or asking about her at pickup. 2 stars because they helped us out during days we needed dog care, and I'm appreciative for that!

I couldn't be more pleased! Boris is a backyard bred corso I rescued and he has many of the temperament issues that go along with that such as overstimulation and reactivity. As he's gotten older they have come up and become hard for me to manage. Trevor assessed him and was immediately able to zero in on the behavior! When we went to pick up Boris Trevor spent over an hour working with us to teach us how to better manage the behavior as well as go over what Boris had learned. One of the issues we were having was keeping him focused if an off leash dog was around, using the skills we were taught as well as what Boris had learned, when a dog approached us Boris ignored the dog and we were able to continue peacefully. What a pleasure to be able to enjoy a walk without having to be on alert! Complete game changer to be able to enjoy your dog. Now Boris is ready to go for the advanced CGC and we will surely be involving Trevor in that process.

We checked out quite a few places and what set RWC apart is the emphasis on staff training and a carefully maintained staff-to-dog ratio. That means it does book up on busy weekdays and holidays, so reservations are required, which isn't as necessary at a lot of places. Our dog gets easily overwhelmed in new situations, and they've been brilliant at helping her cope and get enough downtime. We love that they have the treadmills, which helps our active dog calm down and focus. Their trainer Star introduced "wait" to her instead of "stay," and it's made a noticeable difference. We've had great chats (in person and by email) with Jodie, the RWC owner, and we love how committed she is to high standards and creating a healthy and safe environment for dogs. I'd say it's a bit pricier than some options, but RWC's commitment to fairly compensating and training their staff is a great thing to see in this industry and, of course, ultimately results in a better experience for the dogs as well.

My pup (5 month old Great Dane) came back with so much discipline but still very much her silly self. And Courtney is so willing to help correct behaviors and listen once your dog has come home! Even the trainer we had been seeing could not safely approach us when she was in our hands, despite having worked with her for months. Through Yelp and social media, I found another dog trainer who referred us to Courtney due to her experience owning and competing in French Ring with Belgian Malinois (if you don't know what French Ring is, look it up - it requires incredible skill and discipline). Honestly, I wish we had found her sooner! We would have saved ourselves a lot of time, money, and stress/anxiety about social situations. Courtney is an amazing trainer, and so incredibly patient. Our 1:1 lessons throughout the program were beyond helpful, and Courtney never once rushed us or made us feel silly for asking a million questions. The video updates we received throughout were also super useful to reference in order to transfer the skills and subtleties of movement and positioning to our own handling. Plus, she offers boarding services to program graduates, and hosts monthly group classes and group walks to help you maintain everything she's taught. Our maligator came back a completely different dog. We learned that her reactive behaviors were an expression of her insecurity that made her feel strong and powerful in uncomfortable situations, but that deep down, she's actually a very respectful dog - she just needed clearer communication and shown how to behave appropriately in uncomfortable scenarios. Handling her is so much easier and a lot more fun now, and on our group walk along the river, we were so impressed with how well she handled the crowded sidewalks and distractions! We also now have the peace of mind that she has a safe space for boarding where she won't lose her skills should we need to travel. I get it - dog training is expensive. But I believe every dog owner should either be committed to investing in quality dog training, or dedicating substantial time and effort to train their dog. You wouldn't have kids without sending them to school right? The same applies to dogs. And, like kids, you need to practice everyday to continually enforce the good habits and skills so that they become second nature. Of course, it's reassuring to know that Courtney is there every step of the way, and lifelong, for guidance! Owning a dog is an investment, and training is 100% worth it to establish the foundation for a fun, healthy, lifelong relationship. We cannot thank Courtney enough for helping us develop that bond with our pup. I would absolutely recommend her and Alyssa to anyone looking for quality dog training!
