Trevor has made it possible for our rescue to save dogs that we would otherwise be unable to help. We pull dogs off the euthanasia list, and rehabilitate them so they can go into new forever homes. Trevor did such an amazing job of helping me achieve my goal of getting my Corso Boris his CGC and AKC trick titles that I decided to send him for a two week board and train. I couldn't be more pleased! Boris is a backyard bred corso I rescued and he has many of the temperament issues that go along with that such as overstimulation and reactivity. As he's gotten older they have come up and become hard for me to manage. Trevor assessed him and was immediately able to zero in on the behavior! When we went to pick up Boris Trevor spent over an hour working with us to teach us how to better manage the behavior as well as go over what Boris had learned. One of the issues we were having was keeping him focused if an off leash dog was around, using the skills we were taught as well as what Boris had learned, when a dog approached us Boris ignored the dog and we were able to continue peacefully. To start off Luna was struggling with a few issues. She would pull on her walks, was very shy and extremely resistant to meeting new people, she would sometimes bark to get people to go away. After a two week board and train Luna is better with all of these things. She's been home for about a week now and we can go on a walk without her constantly pulling and I feel so much more at ease when people pass by. I'm so grateful we found Trevor. He is amazing. So I have a long story for a review. I rescued a German shepherd from a being left in a motorhome at my mother's RV park, he was left in there with no food and water after the owner was let go from his job from a failed drug test and left everything. My mom was walking by and heard a dog barking and knew that the owner had already moved away, well my mom went and opened the door too a 5 month old puppy. My mother called me and asked me if I could take him. I had no idea what I was in for he was an extremely insucure dog that barked at everything and I mean everything. I took him to board and train with Trevor and 2 weeks later I picked him up. The barking was not completely solved but it was 100% better. I can actually walk him through home Depot with no barking at all but every once in a while if we are in our neighborhood, where he calls his home, he will bark at people or dogs while we are walking but like I said nothing at all like he was before. He is so much better than he was. He listens to his commands very good he has turned out to be a very good dog still lots of training to go and can't wait to see how my boy ends up thanks to Trevor. I actually can take my boy into public without being embarrassed or scaring people because this big scared German shepherd is barking like crazy. Trevor is always there if I have questions, yes he sometimes takes a little bit to get back to me if he is busy but never more than a few hours, he always gets back to me. I have an amazing dog her name is Gwen that has so much potential but she needed that special person that understands her needs Trevor is gentle, and understanding with my girl. You may have heard of Trevor Wilson Dog Training...well, he's now called Evolved K9 Training. Trevor is, by far, the best dog trainer in the Reno/Sparks area. Don't let the fact that he's located in Stead detour you...yes, it's a bit out there, but well worth the (short) drive! His prices are extremely reasonable but his results are exceptional. My husband and I bought an Olde English Bulldogge from across the US, without knowing too much about the breed/breeder. Our bulldogge (which was supposed to be a great family dog, and mellow) was the exact opposite. Peppa, snapped at our faces (playfully a few time), but when she snapped at my daughter, that was the last straw. I told my husband that we need to get her trained or get rid of her. She was not my favorite dog, by far. I checked around with several groups and not for profit dog rescues, and Trevor's name kept coming up. So, I called him and got my dog in to see him within a week. We decided to do the two week board and train with Trevor. His prices are beyond reasonable. You don't feel like you're being raped, like you would at other Reno facilities. (On a side note, my dad took his dog to a board and train facility in Sparks, and was charged 3x's more than me a week for a dog that still is a bad dog). Anyways, Peppa was gone for two weeks, with Trevor. She went with him everywhere! She initially was dog aggressive, food possessive, a spaz (jumped on people), couldn't walk on a leash, etc. Literally, a 60-lb puppy that is a terror. Let me tell you, when she came back, she still had the loving side of her, but her attitude was in check! She went from being a hellion to an amazing dog. I love her more than any dog I've ever had now. She can sit, lay down, stay, off (get off the bed, stop what she's doing, etc) and will calm down a lot quicker than before. Trevor did wonders with our dog Mabel. She (we) struggled with leash reactivity with other dogs to the point that it was difficult to go on hikes, to parks, or even walk around the block at times. After three weeks and two sessions with the humans, Mabel is no longer the dog barking/lunging/causing scenes during walks. Mabel absolutely adored Trevor. Let me start by saying....Trevor SAVED my dog. I researched a TON of trainers for at least a year. Some made her worse, some just scared her. My dog Kaya has been seeing Trevor for about 9 months now and I cannot tell you the difference. We rescued Kaya from a pups on parole rescue and she was great! When we brought her home, we quickly realized that she was absolutely terrified of people and became reactive and nearly bit a few people. My husband and I were at our wits end. We couldn't bring her anywhere, we couldn't even hand over a leash without the other person getting bit! That's when we found Trevor and Evolved K9. We called him and got her to him right away for a first class. The first moment she saw him, she lunged to bite. I was embarrassed and terrified. By the end of the class, he was walking her on leash away from me. I was in tears I was so happy. That had never happened before. We went on vacation in April and we asked Trevor if we could do his board and train. (If you have never had a people-reactive dog, you wouldn't know how terrifying and dangerous it would be for her to go to a regular boarding kennel.) Trevor took her for two weeks and she even slept on a dog bed in his own home, not a kennel. He helped her trust him, as well as anyone that came in to his home. We were floored by not only how well did she did in that situation, but also by how happy she was after that. It was a fantastic experience for her, and we could not be more grateful to Trevor. Fast forward to 9 months later, we still bring Kaya, but not so much for her reactivity(as he's done wonders with that), but because he makes her a more confident and happy dog every time we go(as well as better at obedience training). My dog has nothing but kisses and love for him now. He is tremendous. Everything he does is through rewards and understanding with EVERY dog. If you have a dog that jumps, one that has bit someone, one that lunges at other dogs, BRING HIM/HER to Trevor. I never write reviews for things, but today I was reminded of how lucky I am, and realized that there probably is someone like me who is tired and scared that their dog could not be fixed and needs some help finding the right trainer. Trevor is amazing! You can tell right off the bat that he loves dogs! Our 1.5 year old labradoodle was struggling. She was very jumpy and would mouth and bark for attention. It got to the point that family didn't want to come over and I would dread my husband leaving her with me while on business trips. I kept 2 of the puppies from my dogs litter and they ended up not getting along, they kept getting in fights and I was about to have a baby. I had no other option but to get rid of one of them and my friend contacted Trevor and he took him in with in that week. He is now getting great training from Trevor as he is fostering him and advertising to adopt him out. He took so much stress off my shoulders and I didn't even know him! Defiantly the only trainer i would recommend. Witch i have done numerous times and each time he come through with one of my friends.
