I was casually strolling down the street in my neighborhood when I noticed a bright orange food truck so I made my way over and low and behold it was Mr.Bulgogi truck From Ktown Pitt(restaurant in Oakland) I've always wanted to try Korean bbq so I did and (THEY HAVE THE BEST KOREAN SHORT RIBS) 10/10 MUST TRY AGAIN the Ramen is great as well but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Bulgogi..service is always good they are polite and efficient.! They also offer a variety of Korean corn dogs and other Korean dishes.!

The tteokbokki is delicious! Worth stopping by if you are near the Peterson event center.

Came here on a gorgeous day and was able to get one of their outdoor tables. The portion to price ratio was good. The tofu was a little too sweet for me but the rice, salad, sauce, and noodles were all delicious. I appreciate that the dumpling they gave was vegetarian (even my friend's meat dish had the same one) but it only has noodles in it so it was a lot of carbs on carbs.

    Inside chocolate goldfish

I just tried a few items from this place and thought the food was very average and a tad disappointing based on the reviews. I think maybe their entrees are better, but I just got 2 of the fish desserts. I got a gold fish with custard and a gold fish with chocolate. The chocolate was way tastier than the custard, and I am usually a custard fan. The portion was pretty decent. The breading tastes very similar to a waffle, so it's not too sweet. The sweetness really comes from the filling. The chocolate inside was delicious, and was similar to Nutella. Adequate amount of stuffing. This was quite good. However, the custard goldfish was a disappointment. First, the custard was almost dry. There was not too much stuffing as well. And, the custard itself was not that flavorful. So, I would not recommend this goldfish. Overall, a decent snack shop. Maybe the meat and entrees are better, but the goldfish were just okay. I'd definitely take the chocolate over the custard.

I'm personally a fan of sweet bulgogi so I really like the food here. I wish the bungeoppang had a skinnier crust and more filling. You order at the front and thr wait time is less than 5 min usually. They play Korean music! Very cute decor! If you pay with venmo you get 5% discount

New Korean Snack restaurant in the heart of Oakland Pittsburgh! I was excited to hear that the food truck owners of Mr. Bulgogi opened this storefront, and happy to see more Asian representation in the Pittsburgh food scene. I ordered the bulgogi cup-bap on their second day of their soft opening! The bowl was filled with white rice, an iceberg salad, japchae noodles and fresh bulgogi. I liked how the meat was tender and flavorful. The portion size was fair for the price of $9.50. Looking forward to trying more snack items on the menu, like Korean corndogs, ramen and custard filled fish-shaped pastries. Not my place for a Korean food craving, but glad to have supported this business on its early opening days. tldr; food 4/5 service 4/5 interior 4/5

Excited to welcome this Korean snack bar to Oakland! I have not tried the owners Mr. Bulgogi food truck before so I was excited to see what this snack bar had to offer. They have a good variety of food options. If you are hungry, they have the cup bab or ramen. There are also snack foods like the gold fish, corndog, and tteokbokki. It is nice that they offer different add ins for the ramen and tteokbokki so you can customize your dish! They also have the ramen maker/ water boiler out so you can watch the machine work or do it yourself. So far I have only tried the gold fish. It was tasty but I wish there was more custard filling inside. I am interested in going back to try more soon! My friend tried the cup bab and said it was good but the portion was a little small, not filling enough to be a full meal. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is several tables for both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall a great spot for a bit of Korean food!

New Korean snack bar right by Pitt campus. We tried out rice bowl (pork and tofu, respectively) and were really happy with both. Good flavor, sauces and happy with portions too. I would say it is not a heaping bowl of food but definitely fits for a linsmaller dinner. Snacks are also pretty tasty! Only tried the goldfish so far but it is tasty, flaky and has plenty of filling. Definitely recommend

I would especially recommend the pork, it was delicious! I had 3 orders of it. As I mentioned before, the food is delicious! While I couldn't get a photo, there was also a sauce bar. You had the option to get a premade one or get your own. I chose to make a teriyaki sauce and it was amazing! Definitely recommend checking it out while waiting for food to arrive. The waiter was so nice, I didn't catch his name but rest assured all of the staff is so nice and kind! They are very informative and know what dishes are good and bad. Now for the part that is hardest to nail down, the restaurant ambiance. I normally don't write about ambiance because to describe an amazing place to someone with just a few words is hard to do, but I felt I had to do it for this one. The restaurant looks very authentic and it is clear that they respect the culture that they represent.

The galbi gui was very yummy and had a nice bbq flavor. I would say the portions are SMALL for the prices. I was very suprised when it came and the galbi was the side of my hand. The only constructive criticism I have is that the chive pancake wasn't what I expected - i was thinking it was going to be a flat crispy pancake and it came out as a big roll essentially. From the moment I looked at the menu, my instincts told me this place would outshine many of the nearby Korean restaurants and I was right! We tried the seafood pancake, marinated kalbi(beef), tofu/seafood spicy stew, dolsot bibimbap w/chicken(mixed rice with vegetables in a clay pot), grilled mackerel, and pork bossam( lettuce wrap with braised pig's feet). Everything was absolutely delicious except for the bossam, which was a bit too fatty for our taste. Still, my family of five thoroughly enjoyed the experience of dining at this authentic Korean spot. Novo Asian Food Hall is a collection of Asian food, drinks, and desserts in the Strip District, specifically located in the Terminal building. There are individual restaurants and businesses serving their specific cuisine. There is a bar in the center of the floor, a non-alcoholic drink place, a bakery, and several restaurants. At the time of this visit, there were 4 different food stands, 1 tea/drink stand, 1 bakery stand, and the bar area. There is not specific designated parking for the Food Hall, but there is paid parking all around the Terminal building. Additionally, there are other options for street and paid lot parking throughout the Strip. There are several entrances to Novo - from the Terminal side on Smallman Street, from the back side of the building, and also a side entrance if you are already in the Terminal. The Food Hall is very large, and is easily identified with the signage. We stopped in on this night a little before 8 PM, and it was not too crowded. There were patrons for the restaurants and at the bar, but there were still plenty of seats all around the place. There are high and low top tables all around the dining room, and there is even bar seating in the center. You can sit wherever you please, as it is open seating. There are water pitchers and cups placed near the trash cans that are available for use by anyone in the Hall. On this trip, we purchased food from KungFu Chicken and Tan Vac Lien 2. Everything we had was good! It is nice to be able to mix and match different foods from the various stands to create a meal. I like to try new items from the different stands each time I visit the Food Hall. However, I have found some favorites that I find myself going back to each time (Fishcake Corn Dog!) The prices throughout Novo vary depending on which stand you are at. Some items can be a little pricy, but overall I believe the pricing is fair. A plus of being able to get such a variety of items is that you can share with a group, which may help to keep the cost manageable. Novo has good hours, but not all the stands are always all open at the same time. So, I would double check the place you wish to go will be open during your visit. Overall, I really like Novo Asian Food Hall, both conceptually and in practice. This has been a fun addition to the Strip, and I have enjoyed getting to try lots of different foods and cuisine during my visits. My only critique/note is that I hope that the vacancy of one of the stands can be filled quickly to add even more options and variety. I would recommend stopping here if you are looking for authentic Asian cuisine with a fun, social atmosphere. I look forward to trying even more of the options here during my future visits!

The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.
