Chicken fried rice and a spring roll

Great small business with a variety of Chinese food on the menu. They also serve Boba Tea, which I need to come back here for that! Free parking in the lot, although the lot is quite small. There's also meter parking along the street.

Pretty good for a tiny Chinese spot located near a vape shop. There are lots of different more popular Chinese/Asian restaurants located near this place, but it's still got solid food. I ordered the fried dumplings, spring rolls, and brown sugar boba tea (also known as bubble tea). The dumplings here were just fine. They didn't stand out, and they weren't particularly flavorful, but they were pretty good. The restaurant didn't label them as pork dumplings, but I'm almost certain they are made with pork. Not much of a vegetable flavor, and pork quality isn't as great as you might get elsewhere, but they are enjoyable with that tasty dumpling sauce. The outer covering is somewhat flimsy. Decent portion. Boba tea was enjoyable and surprisingly cheap at only $5 for a large amount. The pearls were chewy, as they should be, and they put in a lot of these pearls (almost too many). Still, the tea itself was quite flavorful. It's difficult to describe the flavor; it was sweet, but didn't have much of a 'brown sugar' flavor in particular. Surprisingly, my favorite part of the meal were the spring rolls. Usually, they get somewhat soggy or stale when waiting and spending time in the car. But, when I arrived home, they were still crispy! The inside of the spring roll was packed with vegetables. It was all around near perfect. Plus, the price was super reasonable. All in all, is Red Dragon the best Asian food in the area? Probably not. But, they've got good spring rolls, and the food is pretty cheap. The food is still fairly good, too. If you do come here, be sure to try those spring rolls.

Steak ribs with black pepper sauce

This place has a new owner and they have more Taiwanese cuisine options. I think the foods are overall pretty tasty with reasonable prices. Spareribs pork with salty egg, steak ribs with black pepper sauce, and eggplant stuffed with porks are delicious. I think other dishes should be good to try for next time.

Their menu is separated between Chinese-American food and authentic Taiwanese food. I can't speak to the former but the latter( Taiwanese food) is extremely good! I really encourage everyone to try the Taiwanese food! This place has the most authentic Taiwanese food in Pittsburgh... and I've tried quite a few! Do yourselves a favor and try it out!

Their beef noodle (牛肉面)is sooo good! My friends and I would all say they have the best beef noodle in pittsburgh. The noodle seems to be handmade; beef is great tasted and soft; soup is great. Adding chilies is recommended, it will taste even better.

Smaller take-away containers? Very disappointing. Food was good. Just not worth the money anymore.

Slightly pricier than "cheap Chinese" but high quality taste and big portions. Service is quick and accurate.

But lo and behold, tucked in between Forbes and Fifth, is a small little restaurant called Bao. My assumption was that a place called Bao would have bao. I assumed correctly; Bao indeed has bao. Bao bao bao bao bao. There, I got it all out of my system. I was slightly concerned with the pictures, as the bao looked on the smaller size, but was pleased to find that the bao was a nice plump size. I went for the steamed bao with braised pork. Tender and flavorful with a dumpling dough that wasn't too heavy or too light. There's five per order so they definitely work as a good lunch for one or a sharable for two or three. The dipping sauce was good too but the bao was so good it didn't even need it. This place is on the way back from a weekly appointment of mine so I'll definitely be back... and I won't scarf it down so fast I forget to take pics!

It seemed to attract a lot of nearby people on their lunch breaks as well as students. I went in late December so it wasn't too busy and I found parking around the corner. I was seated and browsed through the menu. I ended up ordering: - Warm HK milk tea: I found this overly sweet overwhelming the milk tea - Pork with egg: This was under the HK menu with the char siu, crispy duck, and chicken option. What I got was not what I was expecting (char siu and boiled egg). The plate was more egg drop soup with pork and peas. It also had a sweet flavor. - Dim sum for one: Sui mai was decent. Har gao was off. They must have put something meant for the dessert dumpling into it. Coconut didn't have the mochi consistency I was expecting. It was very soft, not at all sticky or chewy. Staff was really nice. I just didn't enjoy my meal, unfortunately.

We stopped in for a quick & light lunch so I can't speak to the buffet or any of the chicken dishes I see being plated for takeout. Takeout boxes were being plated from buffet bar. Service was quick and friendly.
