    Hot tea

I dined in recently on a Tuesday evening around 6 pm. When I walked in, I was the only customer in the restaurant. I was seated in a cozy booth by the window (which was perfect for people watching!) I started off with hot tea and then I ordered hunan chicken. My food came out quick and it was delicious! The sauce wasn't too hot but it had a subtle kick. The chicken and veggies were cooked perfectly. There were people coming in to pick up takeout orders at a pretty steady pace. Overall I really enjoy Sesame Garden and I will be back again!

Finally gave this spot a try after constantly passing by it on Shiloh St and I wish I hadn't waited so long! The crab rangoon and veggie fried rice were amazing. My friend had the chicken Thai basil, she said it wasn't exactly what she was expecting but it was still delicious! It was not busy at all and our food came out quickly.

Food was amazing, hot fresh, great service, quiet place, nice natural lighting with good evening lights, sat by a window to enjoy the view of Pittsburgh

I haven't had down in but have ordered take out a bunch of times. They are always very nice and have my order ready on time. The prices are reasonable and everything is delicious. Especially the Teriyaki Beef. Great presentation and full of flavor. Also, they have fantastic deals for lunch. You can get filled up for under $10.

I just want to start by saying that I am used to Chinese food from San Francisco and this was my first introduction to Chinese food here. I found it interesting that they had Chinese and Thai options at the same place. The service was good, the restaurant itself needs updating (It wasn't necessarily dirty but it disrepair for sure. ie-water spots all over ceiling, dingy carpet etc..) The Pork dumplings were really good. The sauce they give was delicious. The shredded pork dish was good but it doesn't mention in the menu which vegetables are cooked with it and I don't like some of the ones they included (celery, carrots). And I don't think it tasted very much like garlic. The lo mein was good too- but definitely not authentic. It tasted like buttered noodles and honestly had more garlic taste than my pork dish.

Ordered through Grub Hub. Calamari was a pitiful portion and super chewy. Teriyaki chicken once again pitiful portion for price. Actually tasted good. My General Tso chicken and shrimp only had shrimp and was way too sweet for a Tzso dish.

This is our go to for ordering in! We have never in the 3 years of ordering have had a bad experience. If we order elsewhere we always end up saying how its not nearly as good! The customer service is always so pleasant and the shrimp egg rolls are perfection! The portions are always very large which means we have lunch the next day!

My trusty sidekick and I were craving Chinese food and were in this part of town so we stopped for dinner on a Wednesday night. We were a little nervous because no one else was in there but wow were we impressed with the food! We ended up ordering a few appetizers -crab rangoon, bbq spareribs and salt and pepper calamari. Everything was so delicious and it was the perfect amount of food- more than enough for the 2 of us. We also ordered the shrimp in lobster sauce and I have to say it's some of the best I've ever had - the sauce was the perfect consistency and some places make it so bland - this was perfect! We'll definitely be back! Oh, by the way, while we were there a few more people showed up and the delivery car was super busy - must be a popular delivery place. Would definitely recommend!!

But lo and behold, tucked in between Forbes and Fifth, is a small little restaurant called Bao. My assumption was that a place called Bao would have bao. I assumed correctly; Bao indeed has bao. Bao bao bao bao bao. There, I got it all out of my system. I was slightly concerned with the pictures, as the bao looked on the smaller size, but was pleased to find that the bao was a nice plump size. I went for the steamed bao with braised pork. Tender and flavorful with a dumpling dough that wasn't too heavy or too light. There's five per order so they definitely work as a good lunch for one or a sharable for two or three. The dipping sauce was good too but the bao was so good it didn't even need it. This place is on the way back from a weekly appointment of mine so I'll definitely be back... and I won't scarf it down so fast I forget to take pics!

It seemed to attract a lot of nearby people on their lunch breaks as well as students. I went in late December so it wasn't too busy and I found parking around the corner. I was seated and browsed through the menu. I ended up ordering: - Warm HK milk tea: I found this overly sweet overwhelming the milk tea - Pork with egg: This was under the HK menu with the char siu, crispy duck, and chicken option. What I got was not what I was expecting (char siu and boiled egg). The plate was more egg drop soup with pork and peas. It also had a sweet flavor. - Dim sum for one: Sui mai was decent. Har gao was off. They must have put something meant for the dessert dumpling into it. Coconut didn't have the mochi consistency I was expecting. It was very soft, not at all sticky or chewy. Staff was really nice. I just didn't enjoy my meal, unfortunately.
