It's been a while since I last visit. I do love Cantonese cuisine a lot but my partner is pescatarians so it is sometimes hard for us to decide on the restaurants. It's his first time here and I'm glad they have many options for him. Their fish is delicious and the service is great. People there are super nice. The environment is also quiet during lunch time on Sunday. We are very happy with the experience and will come back again.

I got the shrimp lo main after buffet hours everything tasted fresh and as you can see look fresh but they are pretty pricey but I guess your paying for the freshness of the food

Quick and Cute buffet place. Not as big of a buffet as i was expecting, but enough. I went during the lunch hour special and it was honestly a really good price for being an all you can eat. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to grab a quick bite to eat. The food was pretty good, not the best i have had, but still satisfying, hot and fresh. The service was also good and attentive even though it was mostly self service they were still super nice and responsive.

I think this place is actually quite underrated! They specialize in Cantonese food, and some of the menu items are truly unique. I have tried a few of their dinners, and everything has been pretty satisfactory. A few days ago, I went and just got a little snack from them. I tried the flowing egg sugar buns. They were actually very tasty as well. Not incredibly sweet, but still very flavorful. Filled with a ton of the sweet paste on the inside. I've had this from a few places, and this has been one of my favorite versions. Tons of filling too! Solid portions, okay prices. All in all, I think this place is often overlooked, but it's quite good! Very solid deal for the portions and unique items. I would recommend it!

This is a good place for some Cantonese dishes. The char siu combo plate is very generous portion wise. You do have to wait a little for the clay pot so we didn't order it this time. We definitely will next time. The steamed pomfret fish was very tender and yummy. It has a buttery and flakey texture with very few bones. It was steamed perfectly with bean sauce. I will definitely be coming back again. Pittsburgh is a bit limited on good quality Cantonese food but this place is a great find!

I stayed at a nearby hotel while visiting Pittsburgh. This restaurant serves Hong Kong style claypot rice. I ordered the spareribs claypot rice, one of my favorites when I was growing up in HK. I liked it.

Was looking for a new dim sum option in the city so we popped over to Golden Palace on Sunday. It was pretty empty inside and I wonder if it's cause it's summer for students. The inside did seem pretty updated. We wanted to get a sampler of dim sum items so we opted for the dim sum platter for 4. I wasn't a big fan on the options included and the food wasn't hot which was concerning to me. Next time I think we'll order a la carte and try other items like chicken feet or short ribs. The mini soup dumplings were okay, but I was not a fan of the other ones. However, we did really enjoy the pork and egg congee. It reminded me of congee my grandma would make and the ones in NYC. The char sui was decent, and I would order it again as well. Would definitely recommend trying some congee options and the Cantonese bbq char sui!

This is one of the few places in Pittsburgh that has Cantonese dimsum! They're really authentic, and the flavors are great! My only complaint is their shrimps are a bit small. They have a buffet, but you can also order from their menu. We got catering from them a few times, and their food is always really yummy. The owner is super friendly. Now that they have dimsum, they might just be my go to Chinese restaurant!

I've come here pretty often for their buffet. They don't have a huge selection, but they have all the basics (lo mein, crab rangoon, green beans, sesame chicken, etc.). And all of it tastes good and is seasoned well. They also have a student discount for the buffet which is lovely! I've also ordered the meat combo over noodles and it was SO GOOD! The chicken, charsiu, and duck were all so good. The chicken was so soft and juicy. The charsiu was seasoned extremely well and not overly fatty. And the duck was so flavorful and oily in the best way! I know I'll be coming back.

I went with my wife and daughter who both love the Golden Palace Buffet. I am not a huge fan of Chinese food to start with. When you walk in you pay at the cashier. The price for dinner is a very reasonable 9.50. The cashier was extremely friendly. Then we all sat down and then immediately started into the buffet. The selection was ok for me not great. I would have liked to of seen more of a selection especially vegetable dishes. Al in all I do have to say that the Golden Palace is defiantly worth the 9.50 for dinner. I would go again and I would recommend The Golden Palace Buffet to anyone who wants and inexpensive descent chines food dinner.

Excellent! Everything tasted fresh and seemed authentic. Hot and sour soup was the best I've had, spring rolls were amazing and my Bendon was delicious.

    They serve crab meat?

When we were there, they had lobster which was a special item not in their regular menu. Then we had sea bass on another visit which was on their regular menu there but which I don't see on their website menu; but I see "Blue Crab Congee".

This restaurant in Pittsburgh offers dining in, to-go, and catering. As of May 2026, the prices are $58 for a churrascaria dinner, $34 for a salad dinner, $37 for a churrascaria lunch, and $24 for a salad lunch. Desserts and beverages cost extra. For many years, Texas de Brazil has been one of our favorite chain restaurants, and my husband and I have eaten many meals here. For our most recent visit, we ate dinner. The gauchos brought meats to our table before we flipped our cards from red to green, and later they were slow in bringing other meats. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our favorite salad-bar foods--potatoes au gratin, jasmine rice, feijoada black beans, and lobster bisque--and our favorite meats--picanha, flank steak, filet mignon, and beef ribs--as well as the cheese bread. They also served chicken, lamb, pork, etcetera. I would prefer that we have been given more choice over how cooked the meats were. Money-saving advice: We purchased a $100 Texas de Brazil gift card off Costco for $80, and it covered much of the cost of our meal.

The waiter was so nice, I didn't catch his name but rest assured all of the staff is so nice and kind! They are very informative and know what dishes are good and bad. Now for the part that is hardest to nail down, the restaurant ambiance. I thought there were a good amount of choices, with a lot of variety so that anyone would be satisfied with their meal. The food was hot, and they were attentive to refilling things as they were emptied. My personal favorites were the various chickens, and the Crab Rangoons. There were some more unique items that were fun to try as well, such as the Seafood Salad and even some sushi offerings. The wait staff was quick and kind. Our drinks were refilled frequently, and they came to check our table multiple times. It is a small operation, as the wait staff was also refilling the buffet trays as they were emptied. Overall, I thought it was an acceptable buffet. It is not the largest I have ever been to, but is satisfactory and provides a lot of choices, For two for lunch, including drinks, it was a little over $30, and I thought the value was there for the price. A lot of the negative reviews of this place come around eating there for dinner, so the experience might be different if visiting at that time. Our server was excellent and the auxiliary staff were courteous and efficient. We started with a calamari appetizer which was a little spicy but delicious. Beware of the two Thai chilies in the mix! Next my husband had the lobster bisque. It was quite rich with a large chunk of lobster as a garnish. Our main courses were a 10 ounce filet, wild caught shrimp stuffed with crabmeat and Chilean sea bass. Everyone loved their entrees. Our son especially loved the filet, it was so tender. We ordered two side dishes for the table and they were plenty for the three of us. Decadent lobster mashed potatoes and crabmeat fried rice. We shared a dessert, creme brûlée which was topped with fresh berries and served with chewy cocoa snowflake cookies. Overall the food was excellent. Service started out a little rocky. I had made a reservation online and it would only let me choose a high top. We don't like high tops so I called the restaurant a few days before and they assured me they could accommodate us with a regular table, not to worry. Upon entering and giving my name for the reservation, the Maitre D'être said it's for a high top. I explained that I'd called and we didn't want a high top. He said he could only offer us a booth in the lounge, so we took it. The lounge had a jazz trio playing and the music was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation. The server had to talk above the music to be heard by us. Luckily they took a break and when they came back the volume was lower. As we were leaving I noticed there was a whole dining room with empty tables which were NOT high tops. So why did they seat us in the lounge? Our drink orders were pretty simple, however because they serve the cocktails from the shaker, the server mixed up the dinks and poured my husband's margarita into my 'dirty' martini glass. So I had a three blue cheese olive margarita! A margarita-tini! He realized what he did, apologized and ran off to get another margarita for my husband. I had eaten the olives and tasted the margarita, which was very good. When he returned, he asked if I still wanted the martini and I laughed and said, yes, that what I ordered. So my husband got the benefit of two Margaritas for the price of one and I got three extra blue cheese olives! That was the only goof up. The rest of the meal was flawlessly served. I felt that even though the prices are high, the portion size and the quality of the food provide a good value. You expect to pay more in a place like this. It was well worth it in my opinion. And if you are there during Happy Hour you can choose cocktails and appetizers from the Happy Hour menu which is quite reasonable.
