My son and I stopped here on a Friday for dinner. It's located in the same spot where there used to be a Korean bbq restaurant- looks like they moved but glad the replacement is also good! Easy parking right out front lot, they seemed to be pretty busy for a newer restaurant & were pretty efficient in orders. Nice chill atmosphere and staff. Very flavorful & good portions. The kimchi rice IMO was enough for 2 meals, loved leftovers though. I would say the chicken seems a lot better quality than restaurants that could be comparable, and I appreciate no excessive breading than necessary, mostly juicy white meat.

Krunchy Bird is a local restaurant that serves Korean fried chicken--boneless, bone-in, wings, chicken bowls, and chicken sandwiches--as well as rices, noodles, spring rolls, beef dumplings, etcetera. My husband and I ate here one time. I felt surprised that the employees were white rather than Korean, but they kindly made recommendations and promptly took my order. The dining room had tables and a counter. I saw several Korean customers, and I wondered what they thought of the foods. I have eaten authentic foods in South Korea but am not an expert. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Fried Chicken Sandwich - 4 stars - This sandwich was a large size. The fried chicken was meaty and was covered in a thick, crunchy breading. It was topped with spicy gochujang mayo, Korean chili pickles, slaw, and my choice of sauce. The bottom bun was soggy. Seoul Krunch Bowl - 4 stars - This bowl contained crispy boneless chicken, white rice, peppers, onions, kimchi, slaw, edamame, and sesame seeds. The chunks of chicken were meaty. The total price for these two foods plus two sodas was $35 plus a tip.

Fast service and casual ambiance and yummy food. Their chicken and sauces are amazing. My husband tried their sandwich and was very satisfied. We all lived the crispiness of the chicken and the sauces were so flavorful and enhanced the taste of the chicken. Only complaint is their street noodles. Not my cup of tea. Their floor is unusually slippery so make sure you keep an eye out for your little ones not to fall. I highly recommend this place and will be picking chicken from this gem more often!

Really good food, I like how they fry/cook their fries and chicken in beef tallow, keeping it healthy. Service was good, everyone was friendly and helpful for my frist time there. The overall vibe of the restaurant was welcoming and nice. 10/10

Visited this place over the weekend for their soft launch and the food was delicious. We got the Seoul Krunch Bowl. This was good but would have been nice to have extra veggies or just a better appearance. We also got the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Honey Garlic Sauce and this was 10/10. They make everything fresh per order and I feel like are still getting the hang of things, so we waited around 25-30 minutes for our food. They gave us spring rolls for free while we were waiting which was nice and they were delicious as well. I will definitely be back!

Great service. The food was fast and hot not to mention such depth of flavor! The restaurant does have indoor dining and can do takeout. Crunchiest, most flavorful chicken in Pittsburgh.

Stopped by this new casual Korean chicken restaurant. When we ordered at the counter we were told it is made to order so about 20 minutes. The chicken sandwich was definitely krunchy. The sandwich comes with slaw and gochujang mayo. There are 5 sauces from very mild to hot. So had the sweet heat that was OK but would prefer more heat and spicy flavor, next time. The bun held up well with the chicken and slaw. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Great crispy chicken & kimchi rice with friendly service. Didn't take too long to receive my order while being busy. No complaints here

    FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH

This place has potential. Breakdown: - The bun was much larger than the chicken. As you can see in the photo.. When cut down the middle, only half of the bread had chicken in-between. Either size the chicken up or the buns down. - There was barely any slaw on the it. They do have extra slaw for an upcharge but with the amount I got, might as well hit that extra button 3x. A scoop over a pinch would be great and maybe more/thicker sauce to keep the slaw from just slipping out. - ADD PICKLES! Every fried chicken sandwich should have pickles on it. Maybe get creative and make Korean style house pickles with peppers or onions. Overall, it was a pretty good sandwich once I ripped off the excess bun and gathered my slaw. However, for the price and the quality, probably won't be back. But hopefully they improve with time because it has potential to be great.

Delicious food and superb service. We sampled everything and were not disappointed. We especially liked the street noodles (excellent), and the boneless chicken was crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside, and tasty all over.

My favorites are the steak short ribs (Galbi), bulgogi, and the Korean fried chicken (you can split the flavors half and half). My friends and I wanted to try something new and so we got the pork ribs (they were ehh); also, the chicken dinner dish was also very average. There was only one mishap once where the fried chicken we got was cold. However, once the waitress knew about this she got us a new dish which was very kind. The galbi gui was very yummy and had a nice bbq flavor. I would say the portions are SMALL for the prices. I was very suprised when it came and the galbi was the side of my hand. The bowl for the tofu soup was also very small. For $26 and $18 respectively I thought it should be at least a little bigger. I honestly thought it was a cheaper lunch portion.
