Sweet Tangy Fried Chicken Meal Box
    Carlie H.

I ordered the Dakgangjeong (Sweet KFC) Meal Box, which came with sweet and tangy fried chicken, rice, corn, sesame seeds, and red cabbage slaw. The flavors were definitely bold--sweet and tangy just as advertised--but there was an unexpected spice to it that caught me off guard since I'm pretty spice-sensitive. Interestingly, others in my group didn't notice the heat, so it might just be me! To accommodate my spice sensitivity, I skipped the kimchi salad, but the meal box still felt generous and satisfying. We ordered as a group of 8 through Uber Eats, and everything arrived fresh and well-packaged. Most of us were first-timers, and the general consensus was very positive. I'd be curious to try something different next time, like their bulgogi, which I've heard good things about. Overall, K Station delivered a flavorful and filling meal that's worth revisiting, but I'd recommend checking spice levels if you're sensitive like me.

This place is simply awesome. A nice little spot that's perfect for takeout. Their menu is kind of limited, but they have numerous Korean classics and some great fusion dishes. I decided to try their Korean bulgogi steak burrito. It was spectacular. Way better than I had anticipated. The meat was tender and super flavorful. It's not too spicy, and has a hint of sweetness to it. All the vegetables were super fresh and crisp. They do use quite a bit of rice, but I was quite alright with that. Great flavorful sauce. The portion size itself wasn't too large, but the price was also quite low, so I think the deal is pretty good. All in all, I loved this place. Greta food for a very reasonable price. It's a pretty perfect lunch spot. I definitely recommend the bulgogi burrito.

Review for multiple orders via Postmates. Not sure if it's because of their recent opening, but they've got an awesome BOGO offer available. This place is awesome and the food travels well. Bulgogi Beef Burrito: Every bite is packed with meat, vegetables, and flavor. The rice was perfectly cooked. Ideal size for lunch. I bought extras and re-heated them perfectly fine as well. 4.5/5 Bulgogi Cheesesteak: Surprisingly rich, a bit salty, but packed with meat. If you are getting it delivered like I did, I recommend tossing the whole thing into an air fryer or convection oven to re-toast the bun since it may arrive a bit soggy. 4.5/5 Dakgangjeong (Sweet Korean Fried Chicken) Meal Box: Got two of these and they fed us for two meals. Great portions, chicken could be a bit more crispy but that's probably because it travelled. 4/5. Overall, 5/5 for the value, a quick tasty bite for a reasonable price.

    Soya BBQ Tofu Meal Box

Came here around noontime after a Korean class at the Main Oakland CLP library with some friends - was a quick walk over. Menu has a lot of options, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian - I ended up going with the vegetarian "Soya" (BBQ tofu) box. Tasted great and had a great portion size! The wait time was also very reasonable and there was ample seating nearby alongside Schenley plaza.

K-Station is an excellent opportunity to enjoy the sunshine over lunch in Oakland over the summer. This restaurant is located in the cluster of eateries at Schenley Park. I ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich and the pork belly buns. The sandwich was beautifully presented. The chicken was tender with covered in a flavorful sweet and spicy bbq sauce, Korean slaw and fresh pickles all on a brioche bun. Scrumptious. The pork belly sauce presented a little spicier and even more flavorful. The bun itself was delightful. The pork belly was good, but a pinch more...jiggly than I like, but still good. The ordering process is a convenient touchscreen system with text notifications when your order is ready.

Food is amazing!! I'll be going more often!! I can't wait to try more items on the menu. Great for outdoor eating when in Oakland. Order on the screen and wait a few minutes for perfection.

Quick and efficient ordering, and the food is pretty good. Good vegetarian options too.

Food is good, get the kimchi fries even if your cardiologist would scowl, but the service is not just charmless, but offputting

Unlike some other hot pot places I've been to, this place only charges for one pot and not for the food you get. I ordered everything that was available and it was all better then the last. I would especially recommend the pork, it was delicious! I had 3 orders of it. As I mentioned before, the food is delicious! While I couldn't get a photo, there was also a sauce bar. You had the option to get a premade one or get your own. I chose to make a teriyaki sauce and it was amazing! Definitely recommend checking it out while waiting for food to arrive. The waiter was so nice, I didn't catch his name but rest assured all of the staff is so nice and kind! They are very informative and know what dishes are good and bad. Now for the part that is hardest to nail down, the restaurant ambiance. I normally don't write about ambiance because to describe an amazing place to someone with just a few words is hard to do, but I felt I had to do it for this one. The restaurant looks very authentic and it is clear that they respect the culture that they represent.

The fried chicken was so crisp and the sauce on top, I would go back just for those! The beef bulgogi was still sizzling when we got it. So rich and full of flavors!! We tried the bibimbap with chicken and this was good, but if I were to go back I would skip this and get something else. My absolute favorite was the RA-POKEE. This has so many flavors and was filled with seafood, rice cakes and ramen. Such a generous portion for the price. We left satisfied and full as possible with so many leftovers. The staff is kind and attentive and care about if you enjoy the food or not. There is also a variety of different drinks and lots of open seating. There's two side of the restaurant and lots of tables. Highly recommend this spot!

The food comes out relatively quickly and the service is very good. I've come here a couple of times. My favorites are the steak short ribs (Galbi), bulgogi, and the Korean fried chicken (you can split the flavors half and half). My friends and I wanted to try something new and so we got the pork ribs (they were ehh); also, the chicken dinner dish was also very average. There was only one mishap once where the fried chicken we got was cold. However, once the waitress knew about this she got us a new dish which was very kind. This place can hold a lot of people and has a lot seating!

From the moment I looked at the menu, my instincts told me this place would outshine many of the nearby Korean restaurants and I was right! The first bite of the fresh and flavorful banchan (side dishes) immediately proved it. This small family-owned restaurant delivers genuine hospitality and warm service, if not efficient. We tried the seafood pancake, marinated kalbi(beef), tofu/seafood spicy stew, dolsot bibimbap w/chicken(mixed rice with vegetables in a clay pot), grilled mackerel, and pork bossam( lettuce wrap with braised pig's feet). Everything was absolutely delicious except for the bossam, which was a bit too fatty for our taste. Still, my family of five thoroughly enjoyed the experience of dining at this authentic Korean spot. It's a wonderful place for family gatherings, dinner with friends, or even dining solo. They do not have a liquor license, and while walk-ins are welcome, reservations are recommended for larger parties. Definitely worth a visit!

The server was really kind and checked up on us multiple times throughout the night. We ordered so many things from the menu and the portion sizes were generous to say the least. My favorite was the Japchae glass noodles. I've been to restaurants in the past where the noodles end up being too sticky but these had the perfect consistency and delicious sesame flavor. I will note that it was a little warm in the restaurant so in the summer combined spiciness would be an experience, but the food was worth it in my opinion.

I wouldn't really call this a supper club to be honest but the place definitely carries a house music bar vibe and the back bar area and seating is very dimly lit, perfect for cozying up and enjoying a drink late night. The ladies' room was so dark, I mistook it for a storage area because I could only make out a white ladder in the corner that was being used as cute shelving. The place is seat yourself. Our waiter was not super friendly and didn't offer to give us napkins or anything when our wobbly table caused our drinks to splash all over the place. The cook served our chicken with a big smile and happy interaction and we really loved his personality. The bartender also stopped by to bus our table and he was very pleasant as well. We enjoyed the perfectly fried small plate cauliflower with the plum sauce and the fried cheese/garlic wonton bites with the sriracha mayo spicy dipping sauce. The fried chicken breast on the large plate was slightly overcooked with a maple gochuchang sauce that was very bland. We were so thankful that the large plate fried chicken came with a side salad to offer some respite from the heaviness of the fried dishes. It would have been great to have some side acidic or fresh vegetable options like Kimchi or something. Maybe we tried the wrong dishes and there are other not fried things that are delicious? The dirty martini cocktail was just so-so, not really much flavor at all, but the mojito was very good and refreshing. It's probably a good late-night place for a bite and drink.
