The soondoobu was very typical, slightly sweet, slightly spicy. I would like if there was a bit more soup and less things so I could put my rice in more. The galbi gui was very yummy and had a nice bbq flavor. I would say the portions are SMALL for the prices. I was very suprised when it came and the galbi was the side of my hand. The bowl for the tofu soup was also very small. For $26 and $18 respectively I thought it should be at least a little bigger. I honestly thought it was a cheaper lunch portion. The food here was a pleasant surprise and the other customer seem to know the owner very well!

I love the amazingly sweet and savory topping that is encrusted on the breading outside. They also serve kimbap, Korean fried chicken and dumplings. The Bulgogi mandoo dumplings are also amazing. They're filled with marinated beef, carrots, garlic, cabbage, and noodles. Overall, I would totally visit the Boonseek again!
