I love to grill my own, its relaxing and perfect. Came on opening day, sort of a soft opening. Sam, the delightful owner greeted us warmly. He had met us before when we wandered in during construction. Our waitstaff were wonderful, thank you! We ordered the mid range lunch, wowza! I went a few months ago with my friend, around 6:00 PM on a week night. The servers were fantastic, very friendly and attentive - something you don't always experience in the AV! This restaurant isn't Gen or Shabu or any of those fancy KBBQ restaurants. It's simple, you get banchan and/or rice from the buffet bar and you order what meat you want to cook, no bells and whistles. Also note, they do NOT serve bulgogi or japchae here. We usually order those at other spots but this wasn't a dealbreaker. My only gripe here was that the meats we ordered (beef and marinated chicken) would quickly gunk the grilltop up with stuff that would smoke and burn? Fat, maybe? I'm not sure, but I've never had that issue at Gen before. While the servers were more than happy to change our grilltop 3 times in the 40 minutes we spent there, I still wonder why the meat did that. Overall: 9/10! If you're looking for Korean BBQ, this is it! I find it VERY difficult to eat here. It doesn't open until 5pm and is closed on Mondays. The food is delicious and you can serve yourself as much miso soup and/or rice as you want! This place IS PRICEY, but I do love classy feel. Nice ambiance, I love the setup with the salad bar in the center. Salad bar doesn't have that many options for fruit, but is where the rice and miso soup are. They have All You Can Eat (AYCE) which each person sitting together must order the same option. They have the 'call button' when you are ready for your meats, so there's not much of a wait time. The grill change is also very quick and efficient. They also have sake if you want that with your food. I love grilling my own meats in order to have it as rare or well done as my liking! If you can find this place open, have the funds, and like KBBQ, I recommend checking this place out! read more

They don't make it clear upfront. If EVERYONE sitting at a table, will ALL be charged even if they didn't eat anything. So make sure to not bring anyone who won't eat, you'll get charged just to sit. I was starving all day and where in the area and we decided to come eat kbb. First off the setup is weird they have all sides setup as buffet in the middle and when you order it's either a all u can eat already cooked food menu for like 26$ or a all you can cook meat. But the wait is very long for every plate and every dish portion was the size of small appetizer dish . Every plate was very stingy each serving for like for a toddler. The teriyaki sauce was very watery and tangy like lemons gross and chicken was burnt. The beef was chewy like gum and didn't taste good either. Only thing I ate was white rice. party of 7 it took over 2 hours just to eat . And we were not full we left so Unsatisfied . I asked all our guest there take on the food and it was the same as mine. Shockingly good Korean BBQ for the Antelope Valley. The food here is top quality. The only drawback for me is you cook your own food... I prefer the wait staff cooking my food at the table. But the fact that this place is all you can eat with fair prices more than make up for the drawback when compared to top Korean BBQ places in Los Angeles Koreatown. And on top of that, plenty of folks prefer to cook their own food at these table grills, so that actually turns my 1 drawback into a positive for those people. Yes, this restaurant is actually comparable to Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong. Strictly from a table grill Korean BBQ aspect, this is #2 (right behind #1 Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong) in all of Los Angeles county. Antelope Valley, you don't know how lucky you are to have a restaurant like this located in Lancaster. The buffet of sides is not all that impressive, but they do cover all the basics. Simply based on the cleanliness of the dining room and the entryway I cannot imagine that this restaurant has a clean enough kitchen to be considered food safe. The towel of the entryway looked as though it rained yesterday and people with muddy shoes came walking in. The tile in the dining room was sticky the back of my chair was sticky in my shirt was sticking to it. We were there to celebrate a friend but I will never be back. They also applied 50% gratuity for service that was less active than what you would receive at Chili's or any other very busy restaurant on a normal day. read more

I did not get everything I ordered due to receptionist not understanding the menu or even acknowledging what she is selling as a worker. Hire people that understand the menu atleast. Or have them memorize the menu. Instead of having your workers say I dont know korean. Your working for a korean quisene you should know what your selling. As a fellow korean it's very disappointing. I should have read the reviews about this establishment. Bunch of red flags about the owner being rude and disrespectful. This is not how you treat paying customers. I can not say enough good things about this place and it's owner. The meat is delicious and anyone who has actually eaten Korean BBQ knows you have to chill the meat (close to) freezing to make the razor thin slices. I've never seen brisket marbled as nicely. They go out of their way to make certain you have everything you need and your expectations you are met (Thank you Faith). They purchase a high end sesame oil that adds so much to the meat plus their salt with a little pepper is perfection. Their banchan is generous, diverse, fresh and well labelled. The large tables are kept sparkling clean. If you go, try the beef radish soup, it is the best I've ever had. Their stock is every bit as good as the best Pho I've had and I was born and raised in Little Saigon (Westminster). The owner came over and gave us a 10% discount without our even having to ask (paperwork snafu), what a sweet and hospitable gentleman. My husband, relatives, friends and I have eaten here once a week for awhile now and just having gotten home from another perfect meal I'm looking forward to my next visit. While this place is spacious n you can get your own banchan at the buffet, the service is quite spotty. It started out strong, with drinks n first round of meat/dish orders brought out (they only allow 3 orders at a time). Then they forgot about our big party seated at the back... we had to call several different servers who wasn't committed to anything having to do w our tables. It was terrible service, even though atmosphere was nice. All that waiting made us full off our drinks and banchans cuz nothing was on the grill for a while. Couple things I want to talk about this place. The place is absolutely filthy. The table was so sticky from all the grease and doesn't seem like they clean up well after customers leave. We also saw a dead roach on the carpet as soon as we walked in. So apparently they do last call at around 9 and we weren't informed of this before we sat down. We came in at around 8:30 and took a couple minutes to read over the menu and order, and after getting our first round we were told it was the last call... the wait staff didn't even bother to tell us that the last call was coming up when we first sat down. The hoods worked really well as I didn't smell like a barbecue pit afterwards. They offer various flavors of soju, though I would pass on the grapefruit flavor. Everyone in the party has to order the same offering. The only suggestion for improvement I would offer is to have 2 grills on tables for parties of 6 or more. We finally have a good KBBQ place in the AV! Hallelujah! The new management has done a great job with making the space more inviting. I didn't notice any renovations but it somehow looks more lively inside! The food is really good! Their AYCE packages are priced well and even the lowest package carries the KBBQ staples to fulfill your cravings! You can never go wrong with brisket and pork belly! Personally, my favorite here is the beef belly. The salad bar in the middle of the restaurant has a great selection of banchan (small side dishes). You can also order appetizers from a separate menu if you want even more (included in your AYCE meal). We were so impressed with the food and the service that we went twice in one week. I had K-Buffet, K-Buffet is all you can eat but they cook protein menus at their kitchen. You can get sides like salad, Kimchee and rice by yourself. I ordered Bulgogi and took FOREVER!! I was full with sides before they bring my first protein menu. May be that's their technique lol Their bulgogi was not tasty, taste like they didn't marinaded enough. As I said before I put one star because I have to in order to post a review.... This place started off okay. The staff was friendly. However, Staff left menu with us had no idea what to do didn't explain anything of how their place works. Waited 5 min until they explained what it was about and that there was a call button on the table. We ordered they brought all the sides, sauces and drinks pretty quick. They also almost forgot our appetizers. As for the meats we only order 3, I cant say the same the propane ran out on us is how long we waited they had to add a new one and still forgot to bring out the meats. They didn't bring the meats out for another 5 minutes after the 3rd time coming to our table. Once they did bring the meat it was good food just took so long our rice was cold. They came to check on us as we were almost done cooking last of the meats. We ordered another round of the same 3 meats. We ate and waited for the order, 5 min passed, 7 min passed, 10 min passed we finally pressed the call button to get refills on drink and asked about order this was a different waiter. We waited another 5 min our original waiter came and asked what we ordered (are you serious... mind you we were kind to them). We told them AGAIN. We waited another 5 min before we got or second order so at this point 20 min before we can get barley our second set of meats for an "ALL you Can eat over priced" place. We finally get our food and we weren't even hungry anymore. Im all about helping small business or struggling businesses but this I will never come back to and I would NOT suggest others to come. Great service. Tons of options for the meat portion. Side dishes such as the chicken katsu and fried kimchi rice very good. They have open salad bar along with soup and white rice.
