I ordered a Spam loco and it was delicious Spam perfectly fried the egg was yokie but had a nice little crispy edge, rice perfect and the gravy was delicious. Perfect breakfast. And then I ordered an Alaskan roll for me to eat at lunch, and even though it was put in the fridge for a few hours, it was still fresh and super delicious. Terrible customer service from start to finish. Over the phone, the cashier was extremely unprofessional -- she kept cutting me off and asking every minute if I was done ordering. It felt rushed and rude. When I went to pick up my order, she was just as blunt and kept interrupting me again. I asked a simple question about how much extra sauces cost, and she raised her voice saying she wouldn't charge for the first two but would charge if I wanted TEN -- when I never said I wanted ten. First time trying this place. It was hard to communicate when placing the phone order. Had to re place my order when I arrived. Bought a kids bbq chicken plate a Rib plate and a 3 meat combo plate. Absolutely unacceptable service! This used to be my go-to spot for Hawaiian BBQ, but after the blatant disrespect I just experienced, I will never be coming back. If I was able to give it a ZERO I would!!. I ordered two Thai teas with boba for my children, and the moment my daughter took a sip, she told me the boba was too hard to chew. I approached the cashier politely and asked if he could remake it, as my daughter couldn't even enjoy her drink. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he immediately got defensive and snapped, "I just made that boba four hours ago." That was irrelevant--I explained that the boba was still hard, and my daughters didn't like it. Rather than addressing the issue properly, he simply dumped the tea into a new cup with ice, which I let slide. But what really set me off was what happened next. He started speaking in his language to the other two cooks, and suddenly, they both turned around to glare at me and my daughters with an unwelcoming, hostile expression. That level of unprofessionalism and rudeness is unacceptable. When I picked up my order, I made it clear that I did not appreciate the attitude. This place has lost a loyal customer for good. I'll start by saying the lady at the front counter was very nice after that it was all downhill. I got the chicken combo plate and the chicken katsu was so thin I think they might have used a deli slicer in the back to make the pieces. The teriyaki chicken was better but still egregiously thin. Good food chill atmosphere. The Jalapeño Sushi was the bomb. Ribs and chicken are ok. They were served with white rice, macaroni salad with a mountain of shredded cabbage under the meat. I was hoping for steamed vegetables under the meat. Nope just half a box of shredded cabbage. The Macaroni Salad and Sushi were the stars of this show. I generally don't like spam but the Spam Musubi was good. The short ribs are hard to chew and the thin cuts of chicken lacked the Hawaiian Flavor. The dipping sauce was good, kind of a sweet soy teriyaki sauce mix. Had more of an Asian flavor. Was hoping for that Hawaiian flavor I got at their Palmdale Location years ago when I last went there. Our favorite place to get Hawaiian food in the AV the fried spam masubi 10/10 is my favorite i love spam masubi so having it tempura fried makes it even more intriguing definitely must give it a try if you've never had it! The crab rangoon is savory and sweet you get a good amount for the price 7/10 the seared salmon roll pretty good 8/10 rating and the bbq chicken with rice & mac will honestly never disappoint here lets be honest 10/10 for me there will always be different opinions but this place is great to us service is fast and the inside is also great! read more

This was one of my uncles favourite places to have Hawaiian BBQ and I can see why after just one time having it with him. I try to order at least once a month. The pleated are great and always come with macaroni salad and rice as well as their delicious sauce! I've tried just about all of their meats, and have tried half of their rolls. My only complaint is the portions are huge for the price you pay! Whether having door dash, or pickup, the staff has been accommodating and attentive. I lost count on how many times I have been to this place. Maybe 60 plus times in 3 years. No joke. Could possibly be more. I stick to the same thing, Alaska roll. I have had other things but my go to is the sushi. Always good, great size, not stingy. And great price. The lady at the front has her good days and bad days, I don't take it personal. Made another attempt at Hawaiian BBQ in the Av. My first experience did not go so well, so I have avoided all Hawaiian style restaurants. Decided to give this location a try after reading the reviews. Visited 11-4-2021, customer services was lackluster the vibe I got was "eat here if you want", " just order already"......not welcoming at all. The food was okay better than the last Hawaiian place I tried that resulted in food poisoning. I ordered the BBQ mix beef, chicken and a short rib...both the chicken and sliced beef were thin and chewy...the macaroni salad had no flavor....the rib had a weird under taste to it....the only thing I enjoyed was the white rice and teriyaki sauce. I also ordered a Thai tea.....although I was made with half and half it tasted watered down not like other teas I have had in the past. This was my second time going to this restaurant. The first time, a few months ago, I had the worst customer service ever! But I figured, you know what... everyone has a shitty day right? I had ordered the katsu chicken combo plate. So, I went again today, to give them a second chance and I took a friend who just moved into town and LOVES Hawaiian food. I ordered a BBQ chicken combo with a side of macaroni salad. My friend ordered a BBQ mix combo and a dragon sushi roll. The customer service was bad again, rude, not welcoming and just bad. We waited a good 30 minutes for our food. And we took it home as you get the feeling you're not welcome there. Once we got home, and opened our plates, I found they had placed paper napkins inside my dish on top of my bbq chicken...the napkins had soaked the sauce and were stuck to my food...like...in what world did they think that was appropriate? Then the chicken was thin and beef jerky like chewy lol overcooked. The rice was dry and cold...the only saving grace was the macaroni salad. And the dragon roll... usually a spicy roll, was bland with no flavor. My friend was not impressed lol and neither was I. They need to fix all these issues before I ever go back again.
