The dry and thin BBQ Chicken (A)
Gilbert S.

First time trying this place. It was hard to communicate when placing the phone order. Had to re place my order when I arrived. Bought a kids bbq chicken plate a Rib plate and a 3 meat combo plate. The ribs are decent but the chicken and other meat ordered was just horrible. Meat tasted dry and burnt and the chicken was dry and paper thin. Couldn't even enjoy my food. Place is as every other location plenty of seating and parking. I don't think I would come back

CC rolls

I expected this place to be not very good but I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did, it was delicious. I ordered the CC rolls and they came stacked.

Food is great love it everytime the lady at the front is rude me and my boyfriend were baffled the way she was talking to paying customers.

Chicken and Ribs Combo

Good food chill atmosphere. The Jalapeño Sushi was the bomb. Ribs and chicken are ok. They were served with white rice, macaroni salad with a mountain of shredded cabbage under the meat. I was hoping for steamed vegetables under the meat. Nope just half a box of shredded cabbage. The Macaroni Salad and Sushi were the stars of this show. I generally don't like spam but the Spam Musubi was good. The short ribs are hard to chew and the thin cuts of chicken lacked the Hawaiian Flavor. The dipping sauce was good, kind of a sweet soy teriyaki sauce mix. Had more of an Asian flavor. Was hoping for that Hawaiian flavor I got at their Palmdale Location years ago when I last went there. Definitely will go back for the Sushi.

Crab Rangoon

Our favorite place to get Hawaiian food in the AV the fried spam masubi 10/10 is my favorite i love spam masubi so having it tempura fried makes it even more intriguing definitely must give it a try if you've never had it! The crab rangoon is savory and sweet you get a good amount for the price 7/10 the seared salmon roll pretty good 8/10 rating and the bbq chicken with rice & mac will honestly never disappoint here lets be honest 10/10 for me there will always be different opinions but this place is great to us service is fast and the inside is also great!

I used to love this place, but on Saturday I got food poisoning. It was the worst feeling ever . I am better but never will be ordering from here

Hard dried up Chicken Katsu.
J R.

Ordered the chicken katsu and mahi-mahi combo. Fish was fresh and tasty, katsu wasn't. Hard dried up chicken pieces. I guess yesterday's left over chicken? Don't get the pollo katsu!

Food was delicious. Quick and helpful service. Fried musubi was my favorite and their sushi isn't half bad either.

Great food, great service, great people here. My go to is the Cc burger or the bbq beef and short rib. Poke bowl here is also very good.

It sounded like an interesting experience to bring my friends to in the future. I ordered the brisket which comes with any two sides. I chose the wasabi coleslaw, and the corn bread for a surcharge. The corn bread melted in my mouth and was soft and buttery. I was definitely able to taste the wasabi, and my sinuses were cleared. It does have a little kick to it, so if you want or need something that is very mild or close to bland, do not choose the coleslaw. I liked my food and had to take home leftovers. She mentioned that Thursdays tend to be slower during the week, so if you need to stop and get a good BBQ meal, this place is it.

Management reached out for information rather than provide an explanation or solution. Over 5 emails were sent back and forth for really no reason. The point we reached was based on a weak effort towards customer engagement. Food was mediocre at best but given the experience I will not be coming back.

The food was delicious! We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and turkey. Plus beans, mac'n'cheese,, and potato salad. I"m personally not a big fan of pulled pork but I couldn't get enough of theirs! Their brisket was so flavorful and juicy, the beans were excellent, the turkey absolutely hit the spot! Truly a fine meal, ALL of it! Everyone was most satisfied! HOWEVER what makes D's special, what makes them TRULY worth supporting is what they did for us after. Our base was (still is at the time of this review) heavily committed to supporting the wild fires burning is the Los Angeles area. Out of the blue these fine people contacted me and asked if they could provide a meal at no cost for our crew. To say I was choked up is an understatement. It was such a moral boost for everyone! We are deeply appreciative, humbled, and honored they did that for us. If you are in the are and in the mood for really excellent BBQ please PLEASE contact them! Great food, great people! I really like that the store has such a wide variety of merchandise, treats, and food. They carry everything from local honey and candy to turkey burgers and more unusual meats like alligator, venison, elk, and frog legs if you're brave enough to try them. They also have a lot of nostalgic items that you may recognize from childhood, which makes it a bittersweet but fun place to walk through. It's definitely a great spot if you want to take a little trip down memory lane. I usually like to stop by to buy candy or order some garlic fries. There's so much to look at that you could easily spend over an hour browsing while waiting for your food. Charlie Brown Farms remains one of those unique places that is part store, part restaurant, and part roadside attraction. It's quirky, nostalgic, and fun to visit.

First of all... it's truly in the middle of nowhere, which somehow makes it even better. You pull up not knowing what to expect, and then suddenly it's everything. They have all the road trip essentials and then some -- homemade fudge, jams, salsa, fresh honey, and an impressive selection of jerky (alligator, elk, ostrich... you name it). There's also endless candy, nostalgic sodas, funnel cake, and Dole soft serve in just about every flavor you could want. But what really stands out is the selection of nostalgic toys, collector's items, and rare finds -- it's honestly mind-blowing. You can spend a lot of time just browsing and still not see everything. I always leave with more than I planned (in the best way), and it's become a must-stop every time we're passing through. And the date shake? Easily one of the best I've ever had. Inside, there's a café if you're in the mood for BBQ, plus a whole section of vintage toys and random collector finds that you didn't know you needed until you see them. It's the kind of place where you always leave with more than you planned -- in the best way. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, which just adds to the charm. This place never disappoints -- it's become a must-stop every time we're passing through.

The one star and not recommended reviews are right!…read moreNow granted, I am hormonal and 6mo pregnant so I make an effort to go with grace into potentially upsetting situations and at the end of the day grubhub refunded us and bad experiences just happen from time to time. But hell all the damn way to the MF nah, can I not warn people away from this place...they double charged us $140 for an incomplete and inedible order that took almost two hours to get. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE EAT HERE, YOU ARE BETTER OFF AT A GAS STATION. Save your money. Options to consider instead: -A Costco hot dog ($1.50 w/ a drink vs $71 no drink) -Develop the ability to photosynthesize. -A well preserved cigarette on the sidewalk. -Gift a meal from this place to an enemy. I know the wait I'm in for with soulfood and I don't mind paying what's asked. I could go in about how I placed my order at 4:45 and did not walk out with my food until 6:30 because there was only one cook with mask hanging down, or how my order was still so incomplete that I was chased down to be handed lukewarm green beans and when I got home not one order had cornbread, or how the jambalaya was just tomato marinara weirdness and everything was blander than that Taylor Swift cover of Earth Wind & Fire, or how I saw store bought pies in their tins thrown on the stove. But what really matters is that I feel the need to at least got to the BBB site because this establishment is either disorganized to the point of reckless billing or just straight up thieving money. They should be ashamed to represent our community in ANY professional capacity. I selected the option to pay in cash through the app, but I didn't know it charged our cc from the grubhub account immediately. So when I arrived, I went to pay and the man pulled up my order and read it off exactly. Had to change the order because they were out of what I selected in app, so with the total change, I pay $70+ with a $100 and he's short change and promises to give me my $4 later. Wasn't a problem...until it was 6:00 and I still have no food or change and the man asks ME what one of the meals I ordered was. Um sir? Is it not on the ticket??? All that was on the 11th. Cut to today, theres a grubhub charge posted as of the 13th. I figured yelp glitched with grubhub somehow, because I selected cash and had to pay when went so I called grubhub. Grubhub refunded me immediately because it turns out even though I selected cash it charged my cc immediately and came through to the restaurant as PAID. This man went through my whole order and everything on a PAID TICKET and let me hand over cash. I even asked grubhub if the order would have come to them paid because of my selecting cash and she said YES, IT STILL WOULD HAVE SHOWN PAID. $140?! And I didn't even get the cornbread?!?! Never in my whole black like have I experienced blasphemy to this extent. What are yall a bank? I was so hot by the time I left I didn't even remember my $4. That's a dollar away from $5! It's a pandemic, people getting thrown to the streets and yall wanna scam people?! The desperation. Don't have a business you can't afford to manage properly, honestly. it was a hard day, my pregnant self was laying concrete and I just wanted to treat my family to some good food. I was so emotional about this at first I didnt want to post in anger. But today having to be refunded after finding out they knew I already paid was it. No one has time for these kind of shenanigans.
