This place is a hidden gem! All the rude comments about the man working here clearly expect chic fil a customer service, this is not that kind of place! Every time I've gone, the man who is a cashier is always kind and courteous. If you are rude and give people attitude, expect that same energy back. The food is always hot & fresh. I've tried their combination plates & their sushi rolls. The sushi rolls are HUGE! You're definitely getting a bang for your buck. I also love their kimbaps! Yes, this place is not in the "best" area but they are making do with what they have. I really appreciate having a little Korean restaurant here since there's not much Asian cuisine in the AV. Alright. After seeing the B rating, which I didn't see until after we paid, the food was decent. The guy that wears a knitted hat while he's working is not friendly. AT ALL. and my god if he keeps the kitchen the way he keeps his car than that's super scary. I did look for cockraoches since that's why they were closed but thankfully I didn't see any. My new go-to sushi/kimbap place. The sushi rolls are pretty big here so you can get full on just one but would definitely try their kimbap. There isn't a lot of parking here and the service isn't the fastest. We waited at least 20 minutes for our food but were pleased with what we ordered and the portion sizes. read more

I was delighted to discover this place. After I squeezed into the parking lot, I went in to order. GUYS. I was expected small rolls, like other places but these rolls did not skimp. The Kimchi Kimbap had the wonder spicey fermented cabbage flavor you want. The Kimbap Bolgogi was a good addition to the roll. Both rolls had the traditional ingredients with great textures and flavors. It can run about 15 for a full meal with drink but its well worth it. Did I mention it was fresh? Oh yeah. Ordered chicken and shrimp fried rice and the taro boba. Nasty! All of it. Definitely won't be returning. It was also VERY hot inside. Came already sauced up like this. Ew. I would rate zero stars or half a star if that were an option. Tried to give it to my dog and she wouldn't even eat it and she eats pretty much whatever we put down for her. Weird. I was in the area the building caught my eye because it was painted pink! It used to be a restaurant called Soya with chicken bowls and sushi rolls so I was curious. Walking in, I was greeted as I looked at the menu. It says K-Food on the menu, which stands for Korean Food. The menu items vary between burgers, kimbap (Korean rice rolls), toasts, sandwiches, some bento like plates, ramen, chicken bowls, udon, crepes, smoothies, slushies, and more. I decided on the K-Kimchi Kimbap and K-Steak Burger. I enjoyed both, especially the kimbap. I definitely want to try all of the different kimbaps and some of the other items! If I could give this no stars I would but I'm posting so people can think twice before going. To begin the restaurant smells very bad I almost had to cover my nose. I ask for a "BAKED salmon roll" because I dislike raw sushi and when I get home I come to find raw salmon !!!! Andddd it was almost 20$ an 8 piece roll that I didn't ask for. I also ordered two regular California rolls that are half rice and half cucumber with a speck of poor quality imitation crab and a dot of avocado. This is why I attached the images of my roll so you can see the spec of avocado vs alll the cucumber and rice like what is this. First and last time I go there. Hope this helps anyone. read more

The food is average. I ordered chicken fried rice and a tai tea smoothie. The smoothie was not as good as other places and like I said before the fried rice was average. My issue is I end up paying $17.22 for 2 items and then the restaurant updated the pay to $19.80. The old man that run the places I kinda rude and gave bad customer service. Update: been having digestive issues ever since eating here. I tried to be nice with the original review because I know it's a family business but they need to be more cautious with food handling. A lot of red flags as I watched them cook including the dark lighting in their kitchen. The food looked great online so I decided to try this place. Very nice couple running it. Tried a few rolls and the bulgogi kimbap. I was honestly disappointed. Just be aware that all the crab meat for their rolls is imitation even though it's not listed as such. The flavors were good in the bulgogi kimbap but I did see them warm up the bulgogi in the microwave. Big portions for the price which is great but definitely won't be back read more

We've been wanting to try this place so went in for lunch today. We ordered a steak burger, shrimp burger and a teriyaki chicken bowl for my daughter. When our order came instead of a shrimp burger we got some kind of sandwich with hot dogs cut in half and apples on it. Then we noticed the roaches on the walls. Honestly so disappointed because we were really excited to try this place. My daughter wouldn't even eat her food because she was so weirded out by the place. Got a k-bulgogi toast with a side of fries and two boba drinks and everything was delicious, I haven't had such a savory sandwich in a long time, 10/10! The food was very good, especially the kimbap. The older gentleman wasn't very friendly to any of the customers although I'd prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to the communication barrier. The one thing I didn't like at all was the adding of gratuity without telling me, I felt like sneaking it in to the total at the very last minute after I was told a certain amount was very disingenuous. They serve Ice COLD VEGETABLES. So I bought #35 combo plate with bulgogi and spicy teriyaki chicken. I came back to the establishment to get fresh vegetables just to be told that's how they are served. So I said okay can I just get a refund because k don't want to eat cold cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. They then put it in the microwave and tried to warm it up. They didn't want to give me a refund even though I didn't want the food that was cold. The woman was Very Rude and even yelled. They tried to deny me a refund even though there's nothing that says no refund. The food was barely touched but yet they didn't want to refund. Would never come here again. The service was terrible and the bulugoi was actually pretty good. Everything would have been okay if the vegetables were at least warm. read more
