In about 15 minutes or so Shay showed up with a flatbed and got us loaded up and we were on our way to the dealership in Grand Rapids. He dropped it at the service department and it wasn't long before we were back on the road! Shay is a true professional and has a great personality. He would not unload the vehicle into my driveway, I was specific that I will have it repaired or scrap it myself. Driver took off with my vehicle. Went town to their yard to get my car back and they claimed I had to sign the title over to them for the towing fee. I could not get the car back. This is FRAUD!!! Charged me $219 for 1.5 miles of towing and I could have scrapped it for $550. If the police ever call you a tow truck do not use this company.

Using every possible source, I called every repair shop listed online. Nobody answered the phone. I even called the Holland Police Department for help, but they are only open Monday thru Friday. I called AAA for roadside assistance and they sent Tim's Towing. The driver arrived in good time and towed my vehicle to a local repair shop. Once there, he tried to start my vehicle 'one last time' before leaving it for repairs. Luckily, he was able to get it started. His intuition saved me time and money. Our car had a problem with the fuel system so we couldn't just put it in neutral and load it up on the carrier, but Henry was knowledgeable about how to bypass the activation of the fuel pump and we got past that hurdle with no fuel spraying all over. The vehicle was loaded safely and securely, and delivered with all care. Henry was very professional, friendly, and helped us understand an important safety aspect of our vehicle. LKM still took the title of my car and I had to pay another $256 in addition vs having it towed to a scrap yard which would have cost me more. I will request K&R from now on. By the way they are on the same property which makes this even more frustrating.

As it was very cold and snowy, she was informed that AAA would take 2 hours to tow. The responding MI State Trooper suggested a tow and summoned it from an unknown source. Neither the Trooper nor the "Reliable " (Holland, MI) tow truck driver informed her of any possible charges. It took the tow driver approximately 10 minutes to pull out the car and leave it on the left shoulder of the highway within a quarter mile of exit #41. He didn't drop the car off where she could see how operational it was without speeding trucks and cars. He then proceeded to charge her $319.30 for this very limited service. She was very traumatized and upset by this whole incident, and she still had a 3 hour drive to make it home. Had she known the price beforehand, she would've called me back, and we would've refused the service. I am extremely disappointed in the response that took advantage of a young and vulnerable woman.

Thank God Jim answered and responded so quickly. He was so helpful and understanding. I highly recommend Jim with Romeyn's Service. I really hope I don't need to use their service again but living in Michigan & dealing with the crazy weather. I am definitely programing their number to my Ottawa County emergency support group. Wish we had towing service with great customer response and service like what Jim gave us tonight by where we live.
