If I could give 0 stars I would. We were backed into and our car needed a new door. This place ordered the wrong door so it took 5 days longer and our rental car insurance expired leaving us without a car and no cost was knocked off. Hardly an apology. Our car was then broken into over the weekend while at the shop. The people cut the chord on our baby camera wired into the car. Even though camera was wired to car and the chord is clearly cut the body shop doesnt want to take any responsibility. States it was our fault. Car was also left completely dirty on the inside. But we are so fortunate they have offered to have us bring the car back to get it vacuumed out. Terrible service all around read more

In over 40 yrs of buying cars and trucks, I have never had an estimate be higher than the actual bill. I am so happy with auto fix it. My estimate was 1600$ to repair a huge dent in my Lexus. The actual bill ended up being 1300$. Not only was the bill way under budget but the work was beautiful. I love it when I get more than was promised. What a wonderful company. read more

Unfortunately, my vehicle was unfixable. The team at Auto Fixit were honest and kind while delivering the news. I was unable to pick it up right away, and they were very understanding. By the time I could pick it up, the battery was dead and I needed air in my tire. Without hesitation, the guys in the shop came out to jump my vehicle and fill the tire. Not only were they kind, but they made the experience of being in an auto shop much less intimidating. Shoutout to B, their shop dog, for the emotional support. They also offered a few places that I could sell the vehicle. Overall an amazing experience. read more

I'd just go hang out with these guys--seriously such a kind, honest crew there. Fix the problem at hand without taking you for a bunch of money on other things. Also great to chat with while you wait on your car! read more

On my way to Grand Rapids for work I got rammed by a deer on the highway. It did significant damage but luckily I'm alive. I know car body repairs usually take days so all I needed was something quick to hold my side view mirror in place to make it back to Ohio. My side mirror would bang against the side of the car and window when driving on the highway. The guy working was extremely helpful and nice and offered to super glue and and put some electrical tape around the mirror to hold it all together. They got me in and out within 30 minutes which I thought was amazing for a walk in. He understood I just needed to get home before I can get a full body service for the damages. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone in Grand Rapids! read more

These guys are the real deal, and they know what they're doing. They are extremely honest and reasonable with pricing. I would trust these guys with my car any day. Have used them twice already, and I'm very happy with my service. Strongly recommend. read more

I went to another body shop in the area and they quoted me twice as much as Auto Fixit Body Shop. Someone had hit my parked car in a parking lot. The repairs came out great. They also detailed my car inside and out - which isn't a standard practice with them, but I got a bonus! Also, I had wanted the front of the car painted becuase it had chipped paint from rocks hitting it. They were honest and straightfoward. They said I really didn't need to paint the entire hood (which was $900 quoted at the other body shop) for what I wanted to accomplish and charged me $25 to do paint touch ups on the hood. Overall, Fair and honest. The only negetive is that it is in a bit of a rough looking area and they smoke in the office....but it will save your wallet!!! read more

Highly recommend Auto Fixit Body Shop for all your auto repair needs. About 5 months ago, I had my alternator replaced by another repair shop and it has been acting up again. I requested quotes for the repair on Yelp and Matt responded very quickly to all my questions and we were able to schedule a repair a few days later. I brought my car in right when they opened and within 2 hours, they had it ready with the repair completed under the quoted price, Matt walked me through exactly what the issue was and the details of what they installed as well as the warranties on the parts. Awesome customer service and value! read more

On the way from Chicago to Grand Rapids we figuratively hit some serious weather and literally hit a serious pothole that made my right rear strut totally disconnect from the frame of my beloved-hated clunker. I was at a loss how to handle this situation. I was in town only for the weekend, and I didn't know how safe it was to drive since the strut was banging around like a mosh pit of one within my wheel well. Anyway, we gave Auto Fixit Body Shop a call, and immediately were reassured it would be okay. The owner said we could bring it in first-thing the following Monday morning when they opened, and he'd have it patched or totally repaired as fast as possible. He delivered. Not only was my strut replaced before noon, but gave me a totally fair price and threw in two new brake lights for free. What Michigan magic is this? I highly recommend the folks at Auto Fixit. If I ever have car troubles in G.R. again, this is the first place I'd call. read more

I came in to get my headlights fixed. I already had the parts and needed an install. Service was fast and the people were friendly. In the end, the owner Michael Hoogerheide decided not to charge us but just had us tip the mechanic. My estimate at the dealership was around $200 and by contrast, the install at Auto Fixit cost me $25. I left feeling like a rock star. read more

They did a great job for a reasonable price. Had a few scratches on my bumper and they were able to get me in within about a week, and had the car back to me two days later. Pretty friendly service too. read more

I crashed my mom's car. It's an Illinois car, and she drove up in my car the next day from Illinois. They were absolutely completely helpful with telling us things and communicating with State Farm. They got her a rental car for super cheap too. This is a badly written review, but I was hysterical and going crazy and this place didn't make me crazier. Hooray! They're local and family owned and everyone there was super helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone. read more

I've brought my husband's car there once awhile back and the price for the repair was very reasonable. I've talked to Adam a couple of times and he is extremely helpful and informative. They also diagnosed a major issue in my van that I unfortunately had to get a new transmission re-built so they recommended a place that does a great job and is reasonable. So far, my experience with these guys is great. Their prices are fair and they provide great customer service! read more

An auto repair shop you LIKE? Unheard of! But it's true! So glad I found auto fix it. They are conveniently located at an intersection where I did not to see a stop sign obstructed by two utility poles (good job there City of GR)! I was impressed with Auto Fix It. Friendly, informative, returns calls, provided a loaner car when insurance coverage expired. They even did a pretty darn good job of putting my car back together. What more could a gal ask for? Two thumbs up! read more

So pleased with the service and repair job they did on my daughter's 2006 CRV. I had 2 other quotes for $1000 and $1300 and Auto Fixit was able to find a used door and do the job for $415. On top of that they bumped out another dent in the rear door, did touch up paint around the vehicle, and washed it inside and out. read more

If you're looking for a place to get some mechanical repairs done, Auto FixIt will do very nicely. I have had them repair my wife's car for years, and they've always treated her kindly and done a great job with mechanical repairs. However, I would strongly recommend seeking other locations when it comes to paint work. After a chip (about the size of a quarter in the center of the door) appeared on our vehicle, I had Auto FixIt repair the door for $335. When the vehicle came back, the door was a clearly several shades off. I was told I should have the other door repainted, for an additional cost of $200, even though there was nothing wrong with the other door. The first door should have been color-matched correctly from the start. While the paint tech admitted that he "should have noticed" some previous paint work, he didn't and admitted rushing the finished job because they got behind schedule. He also admitted that they didn't have a chance to look at the car door until they put it back on the car when my wife went to pick up the vehicle. Lesson learned: this shop isn't up to par on painting and, sadly, I will now have to pay extra to have my vehicle door repainted. After years of satisfied service, I may also sadly have to find another location to service my vehicle as Auto FixIt was apologetic, but completely unwilling to solve the problem without an additional $200. read more

I just brought my car in here for the first time for brakes only because they had the lowest price of ANYONE I called. About $100 less than everyone else's price. Adrian Matt and John were the workers I had the pleasure of talking to there and not only were they extremely polite and knowledgeable about everything, the service was done in about a half a day! A couple hours later I go to pick it up and I speak to one of the men there about how they went out of their way to try to fix my broken side mirror. So kindness aside, I got new pads and rotors, an oil change including filling up all my fluids AND installed new wipers. All in under 4 hours and under $450. So whether you care more about the personal interaction/experience or the value of getting thorough quality work without having to pay an outrageous bill - this is where you need to go. I'll definitely use them for everything I can from here on out. Thank you guys! read more

While driving in from Chicago, the engine light of course came on ... did I trust my instinct? Nope, thankfully made it without getting stranded with a car full of bags and a little dog. Friday morning I called one other shop as it was closer to me but he didn't give me a good vibe and was less than helpful. I called Auto Fixit and Adam understood. Told me to bring it in right away. It was a simple fix, he has great parts suppliers or it could have been a huge headache. Not often do you meet genuinely nice people, willing to help, who really know what they are doing and have the ability to make you laugh during a difficult situation. read more

My friend accidentally side swipe my 08' Subaru Outback leaving scratches and dents down both front and rear passenger side doors. I went to one shop near the airport and was quoted around $3600 for complete door replacement as they couldn't find parts to do a repair. Auto Fixit found parts and gave me a quote for $1500 and four days for repair. They called after two days to tell me a part came in and was not painted like they thought it would be and would cost a bit more. Also asked if I wanted additional dents fixed not caused in the initial inspection. They gave me an updated quote of $1600 and the repaid was finished on day four and looks as good as new. Very happy and would use again. read more

Very happy I decided to go with Auto Fixit. They did a great job on my truck with regards to a fender bender. They also made sure it looked clean both inside and out- at a reasonable price. Will definitely use again. John M Potter read more

Brought in my Tesla to have a dent removed. The guys at Auto Fixit not only fixed the dent, they cleaned up a bunch of additional dings and some curb rash on the rims - they were honest, took great pride in their work, charged what they quoted...even though they spent additional time in the repair and the extra work/detailing, and were a pleasure to deal with. I wouldn't take a car anywhere else. The car looks great. read more

My sunroof was leaking along with the sides of my roof, and, the interior cloth on the roof was hanging down. I took it in Auto Fixit to have it repaired. The estimate for the sealing and the interior fix was for $100. There was a seperate estimate for up to $150., if I needed a heater core. When I got the car back, the interior was not repaired, and I was charged $130. Mrs. Hoogerheide yelled at me that the interior fix was not included because Mr. did not put it on the work order. I did bring it back & make them fix it (he just stapeled it tacky), and there was moisture all on the inside of my windshield which he told me that if it was not sealed proper he would not fix it. Very poor service, overcharged, and not completed. read more

Terrible experience and I have used them several times. Each time I use them they seem nice but they take 3 times as long to repair the car as they estimate. This last time they told me 7-10 days. They got it back to me 35 days later. Also they were to paint my entire SUV, a color similar to the factory blue but darker. They made sure the car was ready for me at the end of the day at dusk, so I would accept it, and when I looked at it in the daylight I found to save money they had not painted the roof at all. I take it they thought it was too high for me to notice. Poor customer service and poor paint job, as I look at the vertical surfaces of the car toward the bottom the paint job has runs and poor coverage. I would take it back to them and demand them to cure their terrible job, however I can't afford to be w/o my car for another 4 weeks while the screw over me again. Stay Away!!!! read more
