They could not fix and needed to replace the tire, fine. I agreed to have it replaced with a brand new Pirelli tire, identical to what I had. when I went home I noticed a weird rattling sound underneath my car near the tire that was replaced. when me and my husband got out to look at the tire, not only it was my rim scratched up, the tire looked used and the rattling sound again. The next day we went back to Belle tire and the tech there went under my car and said that two screws were missing from my heat plate and that was causing the rattling noise, (he took pics and showed my husband) he didn't address the tire/rim because it was a Friday and he asked me to bring it back Monday morning. Monday, Antonio, the assistant manager came out to look at the tire and he said to leave the car there (9:30 am) and he would have his advanced tech look at the car/tire. After no updates or calls, we went back to the shop (4:30) only for him to tell me that they didn't find anything wrong with the tire and they weren't aware of any noise, and that his previous tech was wrong. I'm not convinced they even looked at the car again. He totally dismissed everything! At that point I realized the caliber of people at this location, dishonesty and greed. DO NOT USE THIS TIRE SERVICE. I bought 4 new tires recommended by them. They had a 40K mileage warranty. I went back after 15K miles because the treads were dangerously thin. They claimed that I did not purchase them there and I was not in their system. All lies!!! I even remembered the service persons name but they would not budge. Total scam. read more

Had my gf take her car here for a set of new tires. After they finished replacing the tires they asked her, " your tires are done, are you good if we check the alignment before you go?" She said yes. Then when her cars "done" and she's paying the bill they just went ahead and did an alignment and added $110 to her bill. She never authorized an alignment. Women beware, they will definitely do the alignment scam here. "Free inspection" What a joke, especially because one of her tires was apparently out of spec .06 degrees. If you hit a pothole your alignment will be out that much. Won't be giving this place any more business. Integrity is gone nowadays. Got my oil changed on my car today by them. I got home and there is oil everywhere. Of course they are closed. Not a fan of this place. It's not my first bad experience. A few years back they put the wrong oil in my wife's car. Shame on me for going back. Took it back the next morning. Cracked oil filter housing. The service rep said it was plastic and yesterday when he tried to get it off it was really tight. Well they also put the last oil filter on. So sounds like someone cranked too hard last time or this time in the process of changing the oil. They are putting on a new aluminum one. Corporate called and are issuing a refund for the oil change. Glad they got it fixed up.. but I'm out of giving this place more chances. read more

I was in Grand Rapids from out of town for my daughter's soccer camp, managed to run over something, and my tire was rapidly losing pressure. I was able to get to Belle Tire just before the tire went completely flat. I obviously didn't have an appointment, and the staff still were able to patch my tire quickly and send me on my way, even before my daughter's camp session ended. So I had a huge construction nail in my tire and I took it to discount tire. It felt so good to know that I can make it there and get my tire fixed. But that didn't happen. I had my car towed ,because it was overheating and it wouldn't start. once Infiniti of Grand Rapids received my car they said that they needed to replace 3 hoses and everything else was good. They told me that they couldn't find nothing else wrong and that I was ok to continue driving my truck. A few days later I noticed my truck was doing the exact same thing. I called for 2 days and no answers. On the third day I finally was able to speak with someone in service. He suggested that I drive my truck back. I did and ended up breaking down on the highway, and I was stranded for 6 hours. I had my truck towed again to Infiniti and was told that my engine was gone ,and it was my fault. I'm in a bad situation ,and still owe on my truck and can't afford to get a new. Well what kind of service are they providing not correctly service these cars and truck. I'm so disappointed and was thinking about upgrading and trading my truck in for another Infiniti. Women be warned: this place is very misogynistic. Both my mom and I have visited this location and every time we are spoken to like idiots. If we have a man with us, the employees address him and not us, even when it is our car and we are talking to them. I will never be bringing my car back here because of this. Also, while my car was there last time, it was hit. I don't know who hit it, but there was an obvious large scratch on the front when I picked it up. They value their customers and never try to upswell unneeded repairs, and in fact today charged me nothing after extensive diagnostics could not determine issue with my hybrid. Disappointed with the service! Went there to check regarding the sway bar link and they have suggested to replace my struts. Decided to replace my toyota Camry struts. I had done wheel alignment just 4-5 months back in the same location. When I got the invoice for struts it was mentioned that they would waive the wheel alignment cost. But when the work done there was different staff and they have charged for the wheel alignment as well. If this would have properly communicated earlier I would have explores other shops as well. My wife dropped her car off her to have a tire repaired and when it was returned, one of her other tires had been damaged. The attendant first claimed that the damage was only cosmetic and then that they had "never touched" that tire. I spent the majority of my day there getting my Jeep repaired. It's seemed that once we got one item repaired another needed repair popped up unexpectedly. I even drove away once only to drive right back to Belle Tire do to a knocking noise . On December 12th 2018 at 10:15 AM EST I brought my mother-in-law's van here because after two months on brand new tires, the left front was noticeably down on air. The previous day I had removed the wheel and inspected it for leaks with soapy water. I found a very slow leak around the valve stem. Here are three stories relating possible Customer Service outcomes. I walked toward the service counters as a man named Andy indicated from across the room his willingness to help. I stated: "My mother-in-law had new tires put on here recently and now I see that one of the valve stems is leaking". Award-winning Customer Service. Andy was aghast and speechless. He quickly recovered and verified my claim on the computer. He went into the service bays for some leak detect agent, and apologetically followed me out to the van. He checked the valve stem and noted that it was leaking. Shaking his head, he quickly checked the other wheels and found them to be OK. Andy assessed the situation and looked behind the leaky tire. He noted that he could get a bottle jack under the control arm and have the tire off in short order. As he disappeared into the service bays, I waited amazed at the remarkable service I was receiving from Andy. Moments later he returned with the jack and a battery powered impact wrench. Well I'll tell you, he had that tire off the van and back into the shop before I could say "hi". I waited by the van for ten minutes as happy customers came and went. Just as I considered going back to the waiting area, there came Andy back out to the van! With a torque wrench in one hand and skillfully rolling the tire with the other, he was a sight. As he replaced the wheel and lowered the van he explained how he was going to get his staff together and go over the checking for, and replacing of ordinary 50 cent valve stems when encountered, no matter what the computer work order said. "That's a fine plan" I said as we shook hands and I thanked him graciously. I checked my watch as I drove off. Barely 45 minutes I marveled, and thought about how lucky I was to live near such a great tire store. Blech, ho-hum Customer Service. A grimace befell Andy as he verified my story about the tire purchase. He leaned close --meaning not to be overheard by the other patrons-- and said he would do his best to work me in ASAP. "How long do you think" I asked, only mildly disappointed. "Maybe an hour?" Andy said. I grudgingly accepted the prospect of waiting for an hour or more. After all, there were other patrons waiting. I watched the TV and mused how I had already waited a significant amount of time as they tried to do the job correctly the first time. An hour passed. I looked to the parking lot to see the van still sitting where I had left it. Just as I approached the counter to ask about it, Andy came out of the service bays. He advised that it would not be much longer. I went back to the TV. The next thing I knew, Andy was calling me to the counter. He explained how he had looked at the leaky valve stem and concluded that it had somehow escaped being replaced during the tire installation. "Funny thing." he said as he handed me the keys, "Our computer says that the 2005 caravan has TPMS valve stems, which we don't routinely replace like the regular ones". "I'll have to check into that" he said. "Great" I said thanking him as I left the store. Crap Customer Service. "OK" Andy said unsympathetically, and explained how I would have to wait two to three hours for the job to be done. I was caught off guard by his unflinching frankness and the probable long wait. Instead of delivering the van back to Betty before lunch, it looked like I might be stuck there into the afternoon. I mentioned how the job should have been done correctly the first time... Andy explained how everyone else there was waiting on the same types of service. It was plain that I was no one special. No faster service would I get due to an error that I alleged was their fault. Andy then added insult to injury as he said that I would probably have to pay $65 for a new valve stem. He told how his infallible computer showed him that the van was equipped with a TPMS. I explained to him how I was very familiar with the van and I knew that it had no TPMS. Andy was unrelenting as he pointed to the screen. I was quite embarrassing as I told him about my abilities, and how angry I was. Finally I sulked over to the waiting area where a mother and child waited patiently. I expected the mother to, at any moment, say to her son "Timmy! Don't stare at the mean, unreasonable man". My reality was that I could take the van to my home and put in a new valve stem in an hour. Deciding to do just that, after 30 minutes I returned to the counters and demanded that they return the van's keys to me. On my way home I picked up two new valve stems for a $1.99. A little over an hour later I was all finished. No leaks. read more

Quality unknown, prices WAY high - was quoted $1800 for brake work done elsewhere for just over $600.

Took my car in for new tires. They did an alignment without asking and when they realized their mistake they didn't charge me. I get my car back, the steering wheel is crooked to the right about 7 in and I noticed my rims are scratched from throwing my brand new alloy wheels face down on the cement! The car is pulling to the right so terribly bad. The car had just come from a dealer before taking it to get the new tires at Belle, and the dealer had done suspension work and aligned all four wheels on my Mercedes. So I go back to Belle Tire they put it on the alignment rack found that all the wheels were out of alignment again. They had just aligned it that day.!! So they did an alignment again. And what do I get? The car is now hopping in the air on every crack in the road and jumping to the right and pulling to the left now but the back end is going sideways to the right on every bump. It is so unsafe I could not even drive it on the freeway! I take it to Betten Imports, who finds all the bolts loose on my suspension where the children at Belle Tire have done the alignment! So the dealer had to fix it and now the car is fine. So what you get at Belle Tire is unskilled labor! Basically some young kids that absolutely do not even know what they are doing, do not let them touch your car! I now purchase tires at RHD Tire. read more

I arrived here today right as they opened. I just needed to get a couple of stripped lug nuts off of my tire and then replace all 5 lug nuts. I had called yesterday and was told that lug nuts are $1 a piece to replace. Great deal. I was greeted by an elderly man named Rob. He was friendly, but also very quiet and short in conversation. I gave him my keys and sat in the waiting area. About 30 minutes later he called me to the counter and said that my van takes "special lug nuts" and the set of 5 costs nearly $30. I asked if there were such thing as a special lug nut...I had never heard of that before and he just replied "yes" with no explanation as to why or what kinds. I sat back in the waiting area, and about 10 minutes later he yelled over to me that the technician was putting different ones on that only cost $19. Was he going to tell me there were choices in these "special lug nuts"? I was a bit confused but didn't feel I was going to get any answers. I just wanted the lug nuts on and to get out of there. After an hour, I was on the road. The only thing I would really suggest is for the counter staff or the technicians to explain everything to the customers in detail and let them know all of their options. If you don't, it could look a little shady. Otherwise the place is very clean and the staff seems pretty nice. Nothing over the top. read more

I will not take my tire needs anyplace else. These guys are the most professional and honest team I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I get that price is important because let's face it tires aren't cheap. Whether or not Belle Tire is the cheapest is not what this is about. There isn't a huge margin of tire pricing to contend with anyway. Every shop will have specials and deals, Belle tire is no different. The amount of quality services they pack into their tire sales, on sale or not, will more than make up any $5-$10 difference you might find someplace else. I'm from the east side of MI and had a great Belle Tire that I went to there. Since moving here I bought a new vehicle and needed some tire work done. They inspected the slow leak I had and patched the tire up no charge. They weren't even tires I purchased from them. I know I'm not special and they do this for everyone but the thing is they smile as they hand you your keys and proudly say "No charge, thanks for coming. Come back if you need anything else." Maybe I'm overreacting but it's rare to be treated like this in a car shop. I have no need to take my business elsewhere. For any service I know these guys offer I would recommend them all day. Oh yeah, side note. I've been going there for three years, most recently today, and I recognize almost everyone there. I think it speaks volumes when over the course of years you see the same people at a place like this. It means they want to be there and they enjoy doing what they're doing. It also represents that Belle Tire treats its employees well enough they don't just up and leave at the next best opportunity. read more

I was thrilled with the service I received today. I had scheduled an appointment and they begin looking into my problems I was having with losing air pressure in two tires more quickly than would be expected, and the air pressure light lighting up on my dashboard. One was a nail in a tire and the other a rim issue. Both issues were resolved quicker than the estimated wait time.
