Dropped off my POS Chevy Aveo for an exhaust leak check, 10am ish. Called me @ 2 pm ish said exhaust is completely shot. Quoted me $2,000.00 for a new exhaust. Mind you the car is not worth that. Had a complete exhaust done 3 years earlier from Midas for $600. Asked why so much. Said I needed a new catalytic converter ($1,000) not installed. Said something also is dripping, and my pick points on my car are rusted out. Called Aspire garage and the guy told me all Michigan cars have rusty under bottoms use a different pick spot. Scare tactic. Took it to him, charged me $125 for a new muffler. New exhaust was only $220. Never said anything was dripping on him. Honest repair guy I found (A Christian) really hard to find these days. read more

charged 1600 for front brakes only to have them no use new parts broke my stabilizer bar and put my brake pad sensor on with zip ties and had sensor rubbing inside my driver side wheel well which rubbed all the rubber off sensor and is now down to bare wire. have contacted corporate on 10th of Nov and no response calls them every 3 to 4 days only to fet moved up to next division and 48 hour wait to receive no response was told today it had been to long so no response I do have a damage claim now so we will see how that goes read more

We have gotten good service from our local Firestone. They are good about getting vehicles in on time, and getting the service done when promised. A word of caution, though, about using the CFNA credit card Firestone wants you to use. I would avoid using that credit card because in our experience YOU CAN'T RELY ON CFNA'S AUTOMATED PAYMENT SYSTEM to handle payments properly. We recently tried paying a $388 bill through CFNA's automated payment system, supplying information about our checking account. The payment seemed to go smoothly. We got a confirmation number for the payment. Some time later, though, we got a letter in the mail saying that CFNA had been unsuccessful in retrieving payment from our checking account. Though there had been enough money available in our checking account, CFNA did not access our account correctly. CFNA blamed us, reasoning (of course) that we must have given incorrect account information. CFNA provided us with no other details about what went wrong. Worse, they never called or emailed us, alerting us any problem. If they had reached out to us, we could have easily resolved any problem they were having. Instead, CFNA just waited for the next billing cycle, re-asserted the original $388 bill, and then tacked on another $29 fee, rewarding themselves for their own ineptness. We appreciate Firestone's service, but the CFNA credit card system is bad news. If you are going to use Firestone, avoid that credit card. You don't want their name anywhere near your credit history. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service I've dealt with in the 46 years I've been alive! First of all stop using covid as an excuse for your incompetence. You have no problem taking my $800 for s New pair of tires in 20 minutes, but when you sell me faulty equipment you tell me ut takes you 4 days to take a look at the bullshit you sold me. Then i bring in the car missing 4 days of my work, and you tell me you don't know why i have a leak, saying you need to spray my rims with some stuff. But ironically my tire still sent low.. i take it to bell tire, they say o the problem is they sold you a tire with a bad valve, we replaced it for you, should be $99 but drive we feel bad for you and can tell the tire is Brand new, we will do it for $40 flat. So what your v telling me is this Competing business needs to clean up something that should be by Warranteed by you but you are too stupid to know what is wrong with my tire. Awesome.... So I decide to give you another chance... my tire is flat a year later, i ask how long to patch a tire you say at least 1 full day. This location has the worst customer service. I changed an appointment after checking with them so that my car could be seen in the morning. I didn't want to wait until 5 o'clock to find out what was wrong with my car. I called the day prior to my appointment to confirm and verify that they were not too busy to accommodate my request. I was told they would get to it in the morning, That the schedule for the following day was not terribly busy. I even dropped my car off the night before so that it was accessible in the morning. I ended up calling them at noon because no one had called me. No one had looked at my car, and there was no time provided of when they were going to. I just went and picked up my car. Firestone is just not what it used to be. They are definitely lacking Professionalism and concern for the customer. read more

I have taken my vehicle in for various service work at this Firestone location on Plainfield Ave. N.E. in Grand Rapids, Michigan for many years, and, I have always received excellent customer service. All of the employees that I have dealt with.....Ed, Matt and Tyler to name just a few....have been friendly and very helpful. They have always taken care of doing whatever is necessary to keep my vehicle in really good running condition. read more

I stopped at this business today (Sunday) to see if they could fix a slow leak in my tire or at least look at it. The young lady at the desk said I should make an appointment for this coming Tuesday. She was rude and her customer service was totally lacking. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. This is my first and last experience with them. read more

I had my car in for an oil leak inspection. First thing I loved was how we'll set up they are for no-contact service. They limit the number of customers in the store as well as making sure these plenty of distance. When I dropped my car off, the guy working the front counter was extremely nice and explained exactly what would happen. They made sure the leak wasn't too bad while checking everything else about my car. It seems as though they added oil as well! When I picked it up, there was a different guy working who was just as nice and explained what they did. The whole thing cost me only $50, which was at least half of what I expected to spend today. Overall, I was very happy and will be going back! read more

Probably hard for a tire place to get 5 stars, but the way I have been treated by this location over the years has been fantastic. Fast service every time I have gone in there. They even fit me in when I had an emergency flat tire. At first they said they were to busy, but then the lady behind the counter decided to do it herself. This last time I took it in there, I had a noon appointment to get 4 new tires. Now when I set the appointment up, they didn't have the tires I wanted there, but could get them from another location. I was told it would take a couple hours to do the whole job. When I arrived, I heard the guy call the other store for the tires. With that call, I figured I would be there longer than told. But they started on the car before the tires arrived and they got me out of there in an hour and a half. Now I was still a little disappointed that they still needed to get the tires to that store when they knew I would be there, but it didn't make a difference in my time there. I will also say they they may have a hard time doing things on older cars. I brought in my 1980 Corvette and they couldn't find the issue with it. You might want to find an older mechanic for that. My car is older than most the guys that work there. But I have some mechanical issues with others cars that they have repaired just fine. Not sure if I am paying a little more than other places, but I know what I'm getting here and that has been great service and a friendly staff. read more

The people were extremely helpful. I came in suddenly with a bad battery in my car and they let me know they did not have time, but would take down my number in case they had time at the end of the day. They called and made sure they had a battery for me, replaced it and all with smiles at 4:00 on a Sunday! I'm extremely thankful for the staff and their kindness. Took in a single tire and they put it on I'm 15 mins while behind back logged. Completely satisfied.

We made an online appointment for Saturday at 10, online it states an hour wait. When we checked in they told us 3-4 hours, so we made an appointment for Wednesday morning at 9am and was told that would only take about an hour. I checked in today and was told we were scheduled for drop off service and I could expect my car around 3pm. I said no we were told this was going to be an hour, so they said they could get it done in 2-3 hours. I told them to let me check with my husband and I was dropping off his car. 10 minutes later I told them I was not waiting and was told my car was out for a test drive so I had to wait another 10 minutes for my keys. I cannot comment on their workmanship and they were not rude but my God how hard is it to schedule an appointment! We will be going somewhere else!! read more

Listen, we all hate having to shell out huge amounts of money on tires. I was actually going to go to Wal-Mart, even though I loathe Wal-Mart with every fiber of my being, because their tires were the least ridiculously priced on average. My mom talked me into coming to this place. First of all, $500 dollars for a set of tires is absolutely outrageous. And the tires are not that great. They hydroplane all over on water, and that is not fun. Secondly, and most importantly, when they did the oil change in my beloved, yet elderly Subaru Outback, they apparently thought it would be a novel idea to install the oil filter only hand tight. My car smelled like it was burning oil, which makes zero sense. I am not an idiot. My engine was rebuilt, in my garage, using all brand new seals. Do not do something that may cause catastrophic damage in order to get me to come back in. Firestone, I have no love for shady tactics such as these. The ONLY reason I am giving this place more than one star is that the woman who waited on me was super great. Kudos to you, woman in a man's field. I salute thee. Otherwise this place can seriously fuck right off. read more

What a waste of time! I made an appointment for Saturday morning for 9:00 a.m. and indicated I want them to fix the brakes with the instructions to "just get it done". I returned on Sunday at 4:45 p.m. to find my car on the rack. When I asked why it was not done, they indicated that they didn't know why my car was even there. Not exactly sure why my car had the tires off, but they didn't touch the brakes and gave me a laundry list of things I should get done that added up to over $3,100. They had 2 full working days to get my brakes taken care of and all they had to show for those instructions was a list. Unless you are married to the idea of buying Firestone tires, I highly suggest you go elsewhere. read more

This Firestone location was the WORST!! First I tried to call to see if this was something that they could fix and I was put on hold for over 10 minutes. Then I tried to schedule an appointment online and was only able to make an appointment for the next day. So then I decided to just take my son's car in because we thought there was a slow leak in one of the tires. They called me back two hours later and claimed there was a bolt that was too large to patch so I needed to replace the tire and it would cost $241! I did not believe this to be the case so I picked my son's car up and took it to Belle Tire right down the street. They informed me that there was a small nail that could be repaired with a plug patch and they would do it for no charge. FIRESTONE IS A RIPOFF! I will never give them my business again! read more
